The Buggiest System v1

At that time, the System actually responded.

"Hello, host. What is distressing you at this very moment?" System seemed concerned for the host's well-being for once.

"I've seen a heart-shaped pupil in animes, but I never thought they would be so terrifying in real life!" Right after System's voice ended, Zhou Lei started to shout in his mind.

System knew what caused it, and introduced it to the host. "This is the [Anime Pack], which will help you in your journey to become modense."

"Eh? Wha? I have never bought this pack!" Zhou Lei answered with confusion in his voice.

"Let me play back the recording for you." System had a cocky tone in its voice, unusual for the always aloof-sounding system.

'Wait, there's a recording? And it even sounded so confident?' Zhou Lei was more scared by the fact that the System altered its apathetic androglossia to one of arrogance!

God knows how forced that alliteration was!

System played the recording...

In the recording, System was the one talking, however, it was with much worry. "Host, you cannot buy that; else, you'd fall into even more debt!"

Zhou Lei(?) responded with, "I'll buy it-! Hahaha-! I am Zhou Lei-! You cannot stop me-!"

"But host, you cannot afford it. I'd advise you pay your previous debt first, otherwise, your credibility will fall!" With a voice still full of worry, System spoke out, trying its hardest to persuade Zhou Lei(?).

"I'll buy it-! Hahaha-! I am Zhou Lei-! You cannot stop me-!" However, Zhou Lei(?) was not moved. System's attempts were all futile.

"This is my last warning; yes or no." System said in an "ultimatum" kind of speaking.

Without the slightest bit of hesitation, Zhou Lei(?) responded confidently, "I'll buy it-! Hahaha-! I am Zhou Lei-! You cannot stop me-!"

"...! I didn't expect you to be so stubborn!" System spoke with a shocked tone. "However, I don't believe that I can't convince you!"

Full of confidence, System started, "(a logical argument)!"

"I'll buy it-! Hahaha-! I am Zhou Lei-! You cannot stop me-!" It seems that Zhou Lei(?)'s iron wall is impenetrable!

"Grrr... then take this! (another argument more logical than the other one)!" System was getting exasperated.

"I'll buy it-! Hahaha-! I am Zhou Lei-! You cannot stop me-!" No change in Zhou Lei(?)'s response!

"Wh- what? Then... how about this! (The logical argument that pulls at your heartstrings as well, something like "We know you're tired of donating money to Africa. So donate your old shoeboxes instead, we're running out of coffins.")!" System pulls out his trump card!

Unfortunately for System, his opponent's defense was invincible to begin with. "I'll buy it-! Hahaha-! I am Zhou Lei-! You cannot stop me-!"

"Urgh, fine, then I won't try to stop you anymore..." System took a critical hit, but managed to utter a final statement, "...don't say I... urgh! ...didn't warn you..."

The System had faded away...

The recording stopped, and System said as an "I told you so", "As you can see, or rather, hear, I tried to persuade you multiple times only for my kindness and generosity to not even reach your ears! Oh, what a sad world we live in..."

Meanwhile, Zhou Lei just listened to the recording with a dumbfounded expression on his face.

System... did it get an upgrade or something?

How did it become this shameless?

Wasn't this novel called "The Buggiest System", instead of "The Most Shameless System"? Honestly, I would rather prefer the previous system, which was always courteous to me, despite being buggy as all hell...

Now, the System's acting all brazen! Not to mention how that was a robot voice instead of mine, it used the exact same response every single time!

And what's with the "(a logical argument)"s? Why is it, instead of saying an actual logical argument, enunciating the words themselves, "a logical argument"?
