The CEO Who Hates Me
24 Worthy Enough To Entrust The Legacy
AT KEN MANSION...
"So our Ryu's business was going well so far I see..." Head Master Ken suddenly spoke not looking to his son.
"Yes father, he was standing strong like a Ken." Karl proudly replied. Yes, he was a proud father on how his son grew up to be someone confident when it comes to business and standing firm on things that he believed in and wanted. Unlike him, who knows nothing at all but to just follow his father like a puppet?
Head Master spoke, "Checkmate!"
Karl scratched his head. He never won with his father ever since even with the simple chess game.
"I am sure you will no longer win against Ryu on this game this time." He commented unconsciously.
"I am the one who trained my grandson so his knowledge and tactics all basically came from me. He will arrive tonight so make sure he will have dinner with us the next day. It's time he gets involve with the family business." Head Master instructed.
Karl scratched his head once more. His son Ryu was hardheaded and do not listen even to his mom now. He doesn't want his life to be dictated by the elder and he admired his son for having that courage in him. So he wonder, how could his father convinced Ryu to get involve with the family business that his son was running away to? It was like hitting someone on thin air.
Head Master saw Karl's negative reaction and he frowned. He knew that grandson of his was a tough one to hold on to his neck that was why he liked him among the rest, that's why he trusted him above all. Unlike his other grandchildren, who acted good and obedient on his face, but was doing the opposites behind his back.
He let out a long sigh; his family was a total mess right now because of the greed that was clouding each and everyone. They can't seem to be contented with what they have and starting to eat more, to gain more power and making drastic movements on their own and the goal was clearly to be superior above all.
He was getting old already and he wanted someone worthy enough to entrust the legacy he had been maintained to someone deserving and he believed can manage everything well.
He knew it would be a tough thing but what can he do? Will he just let all his hard work and their ancestor's sweat and pain crumbled like that?
Then he looked at his son who was trustworthy enough but unfortunately, was out of the line when it comes to decision and managing. He shook his head as he looked at Karl who was scratching his head while looking on his phone.
It even took him long to think on how to contact, message or convince his son to attend the dinner he was asking. Maybe it would be best to ask his daughter in law's help instead of him.

Arya had been dialing Kay's number to confirm her ticket because upon check-in her name was not in the list of the business class seats.
'What's the point of upgrading her seat?' That question was roaming on her head.
After failure on several tries of calling, she just let the flight attendant to guide her on the private suite of the airline.
Her mouth was wide open when she saw Ryu inside grinning at her.
"You upgraded my ticket?" Arya asked in awe.
Ryu winked at her and said, "Surprise! Why are you frowning? Aren't you happy to see me?"
Arya rolled her eyes and said, "We just parted about less an hour right? You always do things on your own."
Ryu laughed and hugged her, "It's because I can't part ways with you for so long."
Arya's face flushed and hugged Ryu back. She was not complaining at all but she was overwhelmed with his unexpected actions.
"You loved wasting money huh?" She said when she noticed how luxurious the private suite was. Ryu just grinned at her.
The attendant had served their dinner and Arya savored their meal. Ryu noticed how well she was eating so he placed half of his plate more to Arya. He was enjoying just watching her eat like that. He was feeling full already just seeing her eats heartily.
Then wine was served. Arya wrinkled her forehead when she saw a covered plate was served at the center.
"What is that? We are done eating right? Did you order another course?" Arya asked consciously when the attendant served a silver plate covered dish out of nowhere.
Ryu just grinned and said, "Yeah I got that just for you. Open it."
Although confused, Arya raised her hand to open the cover.
