The CEO's Little Miss

Chapter 3:Who's Bed is this Anyhow?

With a deep groan of pain, I sit up in a bed. Not my bed.

I start freaking out and eye the dark room wildly. There's no one in sight and I don't feel violated, so maybe I'm in the clear. While I have this chance I can't risk passing it up.

One foot off the bed. Another. A few tip toed steps.

Halfway across the room and I see a figure stand up.

The creepy man approaches and starts asking incoherent question, then touches my shoulder.

"Who the hell are you?!"

I instantly retreat from his touch while screaming my question.

"You speak English? Good, I'm not fluent in French."

"English is my first language, most people in New Jersey speak it. So who are you?"

"You're American?"

"...yes."

"Alright then. To answer your question, I'm Lee Cheng. Eight hours ago I found you on the airport floor and brought you home. Chinese is my first language, but my English is fluent enough."

"I'm Jennifer Allen. I somehow boarded the wrong flight and came to China instead of France."

Now that my eyes have fully adjusted to the light, I can see his face clearly. A face that looked at me in incredulous confusion. I wince at the sight.

"I can help you get the proper arrangements in place."

"Mister Cheng, I have an issue."

"What?"

"I spent a year savings on that plane ticket."
