When Josie reached her side, she asked for the food immediately. "I'm so hungry friend! Where's my fried chicken?" she asked salivating on the foods that she requested.

"I got our fried chicken, wait for a second," Josie said. She took out the pink bassinet from the shopping bag and cleared the small table. She put the bassinet in the center of the table, Dana placed the infant on it, after getting the baby settled comfortably in the bassinet, they started eating the takeout foods. They were smiling at each other while taking a big bite on the finger-licking crispy fried chicken.

A few minutes later, the foods were all gone.

Their stomach was full.

"Wow! That's the tastiest food I'd ever eaten after a long time," Josie commented. "Thank you so much, my friend, for sharing your blessing with me!"

Dana grinned. "Nah, don't thank me yet. Thank me after we are done window shopping in the mall later," she said.

Josie's face broke into a dazzling smile. "I'm truly excited, my friend! I can't wait!"

They rested for a while, letting their intestine digest the foods they were eating.

"So tell me, when are you going to return the baby to her father?" Josie asked.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.readwn.comfor visiting.

"Today. But let's talk first. I will leave the baby in your care for a few minutes until the infant's father arrives. When they arrived and asked you who left the baby? Just tell them that a man wearing a sunglass and hat approached you, asking you to hold the baby for a while then the man no longer returns. That's easy as 123, right? No matter what happens, just tell them the lie that I told you and don't mentioned my name, okay, you got me?" Dana said.

Josie's face registered puzzlement, her brows furrowed. "Hmm...."

To help convince her friend faster, she inserted her hand inside the pocket of her backpack and pulled 5 thousand peso bills from the envelope and placed it on Josie's hands. "Here's my first payment and reward for you, just follow the things I told you. Can you do it?"

Josie's eyes nearly went out of their socket the moment she saw the money, she put it in her pocket right away afraid that her friend would change her mind.

"So, let's practice again. Who left the baby?" Dana asked.

"A man wearing sunglass and hat left the baby in my arms and he no longer returns," Josie replied.

Dana clapped her hands. "Very good! That's the way you will reply to them later when they arrive, after they took the baby with them, let's go home and then go to the mall, okay?"

"Okay, I got it!" Josie responded.

"Practice rehearsing your replies in your head many times so that it will come out of your mouth naturally," Dana said. She looked at the bassinet and stared at baby Angel for a long time.

"Now give me your cell phone, I will attach the new sim card so that I can make a text message to the baby's father."

Josie gave her phone to Dana.

Dana flipped through the pages of the newspaper and read the missing person ads section. She copied the contact number under the missing person's information of Mrs. Catherine Roxaz into Josie's phone. She looked at her friend. "Tell me when you are ready, that's the time I will send a message to the father," she said and began composing a message to John and saving it as a draft.

She planned to buy her friend a new phone in the mall and throw away the old phone and sim card in the trash can somewhere.

Now that her plan was already set in motion, she has to rest a bit and calmed her nerves.

~Infinity Jade Tower~

John was doing butterfly strokes in the swimming pool.

He's been swimming in the pool for the last thirty minutes.

The door to the pool room opened suddenly. Ramon entered, excitement flashing in his eyes.

John looked at his bodyguards face. "What is it, Ramon?"

"Good news, Boss!" Ramon walked to his boss's sides in the pool and gave him the phone.

"Wait a minute I will get out of the pool first," John said. He emerges from the water and sat down on the lounge chair, he dried his hands with the towel and read the message in the phone aloud.

'Catherine had just recently given birth to a baby girl... I left your two weeks old daughter in St. Thomas Church in Pateros, your wife named her daughter baby Angel... she had a message for you... as for Catherine's fate... pray to God... he is the only one who can help her.'

John's heart was beating faster while reading the message. "Ready the car, Ramon! I will be down on the ground floor in a few minutes!" he said.

"I already sent George right into the church after I received the text to secure the area and the baby," Ramon said.

"Good! How far is that church from here?" John asked.

"About 20 to 30 minutes travel by car," Ramon replied.

John entered the bathroom to take a quick shower and change into dry clothes.

Ramon exited the pool area and went down the parking lot to ready the car and parked it at the entrance of the building.

A few minutes later, John exited the entrance of the building and boarded the waiting vehicle.

Inside the car, John called the text sender number many times but the voicemail says the number cannot be reached.

"I already called the number a few times Boss, but it can not be reached, I guess the sim card has been discarded to avoid being tracked," Ramon explained.

"I guess you are right, it's useless to keep calling the number," John said. He put his phone back into the pocket of his jacket.

Fifteen minutes later, John received a call from George.

"Are you in the church now, George? Did you see my daughter?" he asked.

"Yes, Boss. The infant was sleeping soundly in the pink bassinet along with her things," George answered.

"Okay, just stay there, don't leave the baby. Did you see any suspicious-looking people around the church?" John asked.

"No. But I did see a few people inside the church praying but nothing suspicious. I'm here now inside the office of the Parish Priest, along with the baby," George replied.

"Okay, we will be arriving there in a minute," John said and ended the call. He can feel his heart beating faster inside his rib cage, he had mixed reaction about this latest development of his missing wife, he was feeling excited to see his baby girl and yet feeling utterly worried that Catherine was still missing. Why she and their newborn baby were not together? It tormented him. It's exactly not a good feeling to have at this moment, it drive him nuts.
