The Coffee Shop in a Different World Station
32 Confused Boys and New Challenges (3/3 pt)
"Does this seem like a good way to prepare for this one?
Fidel asks in front of a kitchen table lined with ingredients.
Two people, Roland and Luna, nodded cocklessly at the words.
Finally, today is the "final prototype of the souvenir" day.
Since then, the prototype has been repeated many times, and the final form of "souvenirs" has finally taken shape.
And today, the three of them had decided to do a final check to see if they could make it well in the steps envisaged for the production.
"Then leave this one to us, and you don't ask for the box. Don't make me weird!
He said, "I know! You're not the one who makes burning failures!
Fidel responds to Roland's selling words, with buying words.
Bad mouth, but there was a grin in each other's mouths.
"Yes! Well, let's get to it. Ugh!
Luna signals the start full of energy.
My two brothers say that! and responded, then arrived at their respective holding areas.
It was Roland and Luna who took the position at the kitchen table.
When Roland puts the butter in a bowl, mix it together while trying to crush it with a foam.
I just got a smooth creamy shape, and now I put sugar and eggs in it in order to go well together.
"Sift the powder, it's over!
"Thank you. Then I'll ask you a little over here!
Roland trivially returns words to a well-timed Luna hanging voice.
Throughout several prototypes, the two breaths were fitting.
Roland divides the creamy custard butter he just made into three bowls.
In the first bowl is a combination of arrose powder and myces powder.
Roland mixes in the powder, which can be sifted in little by little with Luna's hands, thoroughly.
And when you finish adding all the powder in the portions, all you can do is a soft dough colored like custard cream.
Roland and Luna proceed in the same way with the second, third and work.
In the second and subsequent bowls, each basic powder added to the first was sifted together with flavoring ingredients.
The second fabric was finished in a dark brown color, while the third was a fabric of about the middle of the first and second shades.
"Well, once we let this one rest, we'll get to the next one!
"Yes! Then I'll get you a new bowl."
The bowl containing the earlier dough was cleared to the corner of the table and covered with a tightly squeezed white cloth.
The aim is to soak up the fabric by keeping it resting for a while.
Roland breaks the eggs in there when he receives the newly prepared bowl that Luna has prepared for him.
There, after adding sugar, I started stirring up momentum while trying to contain air with the foam equipment (manual hand mixer) that I used in my usual sales.
Luna securely supports the bowl to prevent it from slipping.
Gently sending his gaze up, he saw Roland working with a serious look in his eyes.
Look at Roland, who gives the coolest look Luna feels, for just a few moments.
Then he put his gaze back on hand again and burned the work firmly into his eyes.
Where well stirred and smoothly creamed, Roland divides the egg solution into two bowls. Then, on one side, the raw cream was added, and on the other side, the skins of the finely chopped Naranja (orange) were sweetened and stirred together in a wooden slab.
"Then add the powder!
"I get it!
Using Roland's voice as a signal, Luna waves the powder into the two bowls.
Picarbonate (fudge flour) is added to the same arrow flour and meiss flour as the previous one.
After several prototypes, it turns out that the key to this one is to make it into a thick, smooth fabric like when making pancakes.
Roland and Luna mix the dough side by side, taking care not to crush foamed egg bubbles.
Eventually, both finished smooth fabrics in gentle shades that were yellowish.
"Well, it's from here, isn't it..."
"Yeah, I'll do my best!
Lorand adds more temper to the tone of the words emanating from Luna.
Until now, “souvenir" making was processed in a procedure not so different from the usual confectionery making.
But not from here.
The most important and difficult task awaits: "soul as a souvenir".
Roland places the dough on a large slab thinly sprinkled with arrow flour when he attracts the dough he has previously rested on hand.
And when the dough was stretched out gobbly with a noodle stick covered with arrose flour as well, the knife was removed and cut into various shapes.
The pale yellow fabric was cut into the shape of a building with a triangular roof, the dark brown fabric into a combination of several squares, and the intermediate brown one into a shape that mimicked the bird.
The fabric cut by Roland is transported to the top of the top plate with butter applied in advance by Luna's hand.
Luna continues to work with great care to ensure that the shape does not break.
And when he finishes arranging all the fabrics on the top plate, Roland puts a bit of cut into each fabric as the final finish.
"This is good for you. Well, I'm cleaning up first, so I'll say hello to the other one!
"Yes!
Luna, who replaced it with Roland, who started clearing slabs and bowls, took out a single plate made of metal in the center position of the kitchen table.
It's a mould dedicated to Bread Gallator, which I asked Gustav to do through Takumi.
There are two types of moulds available. One depicts a pattern mimicking the side of a dragon in a round frame, the other letting it shaped like a shell while creating a gizzard waveform.
Luna applies butter firmly to each mold and then folds in the creamy dough that each person has left to rest in turn.
For those painted with a dragon pattern, a mixture of the skin of Naranha was mixed, while for those in the shape of a seashell, a dough was added that matched the powder of Armandra (almond).
"I did it! Is this okay?
"Yeah, that sounds good. Then all you have to do is bake it up in order! I'll do it because it's hot and dangerous."
Roland, who has finished the washing, hands down the oven stove to see how strong the firepower is.
Then, when only a little firewood was withdrawn and adjusted to become slightly weaker firepower, the top plate and mold were put into the grill space of the oven stove, respectively.
Now all we have to do is wait for the baking.
"Well, how about you -?
Roland, who has made a paragraph of his work, calls out to the back of the kitchen.
Then a reply came back from Fidel, who was working alone away.
"Oh, thanks to you, things are going well. See?"
Fidel invites the two of them as she says so.
As Roland and Luna approached, paper with a clean pattern was spread over the small table.
"Wow, that's so cute!
"I see you look a lot prettier when you get colored"
A cardboard box was chosen for the packaging for stacking baked confectionery as a "souvenir".
The lightweight and durable carton is a package that has gradually become used in place of the brisket cans that have been used so far.
I thought the warm atmosphere of the carton was perfect for souvenirs.
But the problem is the price of the carton.
If I were to use a corner cardboard box, I would have liked to have a beautiful decoration to catch my eye, but if I had a quote, it would be much more expensive than a brisket can, and not something I could use as a package very easily.
Also, from what I heard, it turns out that you can't have a cardboard box with a pattern made without asking for a lot of boxes at once.
It was obvious that this prototype level, of course, would not make commerce considering the production.
That's where I chose the white cartons sold as ready-made products.
This can be obtained inexpensively, and the performance as a box does not have a dedicated color box and a poor color.
Additionally, if it is a white box, you can freely paint a "picture”.
Though somewhat laborious, Fidel thought that painting on boxes with their own thoughts would in itself increase their value as “souvenirs”.
Initially Fidel painted directly on the carton, but for the production he had switched to a method of painting on another piece of paper and then pasting it into the white box.
Today I am putting up a handwritten painting for prototyping, but when I am selling the production I plan to stick up the paper printed with a defined design.
It was Fidel's idea to be able to prepare more products in a limited amount of time.
Roland speaks to Fidel as he stakes out his painted paper.
"But I thought of something good."
"He told Dada he didn't do business in the city. We need to incorporate more and more new things. Well, suppose we'll stick to the last finish? Nice to meet you too!
"Oh, leave it to me! I'll make sure you have something perfectly good to keep you from beating this box!
Good friends and good rivals encourage each other.
I'm sure we'll have a "souvenir" for everyone to recognize for this - Luna was so sure in her heart.
―――――
"This is a" souvenir "prepared here. Please make sure.
Fidel said so, giving one box to the “station manager”.
Its surface is balanced with the iconic streets and attractions of Harpertown. This station building, of course, even depicted the landscape of steam locomotives and the coffee shop 'swordfish'.
A "station manager” calmed down at the corner of the hall of the coffee shop 'Swallow' stares at the box with a shiver and spills words.
"This is a pretty funny box. Did you use the white box to keep costs down?
"Exactly. If you paper later, you can keep the cost down."
"This will tell you what's going on in the city of Harpertown, and I think it's a good idea"
Takumi, who had refrained beside the “station manager," also nodded contentedly.
"Okay, now it's not in there. Which... Oh, this is a very enjoyable souvenir."
The “station manager” who emptied the box accidentally leaks a word of admiration.
Inside the box were three different types of gallators (cookies) with different colors and shapes, and two types of baked confectionery as fluffy as a bread.
"I see, this is a baked treat that follows something related to this city and the station building."
Fidel nods and agrees to Takumi's words.
"Exactly. Galata people are in this station building, in the form of steam locomotives pulling trains, and this coffee shop 'swordfish' as a motif. The other two, we named them Brett Galetta, and this one was inspired by a dragon-shaped hot mouth, a specialty of a hot spring on Springside, and a port-side symbol, Tridagna."
“Station Manager" strikes a correlation with the explanation from Fidel.
"Um, this is a brilliant idea for a treat that follows the colors of this city and the station building. But how about the key flavor..."
"Try it and you'll see!
"I will also bring you coffee later, please try it!
After Roland, who forcefully returns the words, Luna continues the words.
Taking the two words, "Station Manager," once he looked up at Takumi, he nodded one, um, reaching for the gallator.
The first person to reach out was the fox-colored galator described as the shape of the station building.
From the station shaped gallator, which is well reproduced with its characteristic triangular roof, the aroma emerges with fragrance and sweetness.
If I stood up my teeth, I could feel the unique crisp and comfortable texture of the gallator, and the characteristic fragrant taste containing the sweetness of the gallator that would break apart hollow if I chewed it as it was spread all over my mouth.
The flavor of butter with plenty of it is a good accent.
Its gentle and sweet taste makes my face bare by accident.
This was followed by a steam locomotive-shaped gallator, which seemed to be blended with cocoa bean powder (cocoa powder), with a perfect balance of characteristic bitterness and sweetness.
And the third bird-shaped gallator in his mouth, "Station Manager," will be amazed at the taste as well.
What a cinnamon coffee taste from that gallator.
According to Roland's description, the finest possible finely crushed coffee bean powder, just like cocoa bean powder, and similarly powdered cinnamon, were formulated into the dough.
"No, none of them taste great. Especially this chicken-shaped coffee-flavoured galator, which is really interesting."
"Thank you very much!
Roland grips his fist with admiration from “Station Manager”.
Both Luna and Fidel's expression overflowed with joy.
Looking at those three, Takumi was carrying to her mouth the baked sweets they called Bread Galata.
The base is the same sweet and gentle taste as the gallator.
There, the sweet and sour flavors and slight bitterness characteristic of Naranha are added from those with the sides of the dragon, and the aromatic flavors of Armandra are added from those in the shape of a seashell.
And the fluffy texture that was different from that of the gallator was combined to create a "nostalgic delicacy”.
Its nostalgic taste was a reminder of one treat in the memory of the past.
Takumi sends praise to the three of them.
"I was surprised to produce Madeleine. Tastes great, and this is stunning."
"Which one, is it?
Unexpectedly, Fidel listens back to words she's unfamiliar with.
To that question, Takumi nodded and then answered.
"Yeah, there was a baked treat just like this where I used to live, and it was called" Madeleine. ”
"Nah. I thought you invented something amazing, but you had the same thing. Too bad."
Hearing Takumi explain, Roland drops his shoulder.
It was the "station manager” who put the follow-ups there.
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. If so, this would be a fine original baked treat for you gentlemen. Would Lord Takumi think so?
"You're right. I said it's similar, but it's not always profitable with the same thing, is it? This“ Bread Galetta ”definitely belongs to the three original. That was a bad way of putting it. Excuse me."
That's how I bow my head, Takumi.
So it was Roland and Fidel who panicked.
"No, no, Master, please raise your face!
"Instead, I'm sorry if I got that far! Besides, Madeleine is something cuter and more fashionable to name than Bread Galetta. Well, Roland would think so, wouldn't he?
"Oh, this is Madeleine! That's what I decided! Can I have your name, please?
Fidel and Roland breathe perfectly here and here, even though they usually fight all the time.
Takumi nodded twice as she lifted the corner of her mouth to that appearance.
"Of course I don't mind. Instead, this is your“ product, "so I'll leave it to you to call it by which name. By the way, this bird-shaped galator, could this be..."
"Ha! I took it from the name of this store, the swordfish!
Luna returns from the counter with coffee, returning words to Takumi in good time.
There, Fidel went on to explain further.
"Luna is right. I remember Takumi asking me what" swordfish "meant in this store, and I turned one into a gallator in the shape of a golondrina (swordfish)"
"That way, I'm sure the name of this store will be widely conveyed. I'm gonna have a little trouble cutting out the shape, but I think it's worth the effort!
"Ho ho, does that mean you're cutting out one piece of dough at a time to make this? Isn't that tough?
The station manager, who did not miss the end of Roland's words, immediately makes the point.
To the words, Roland, um, wrinkled between his brows.
"That's right. It's hard to do this work in plain sight, and it's going to take a lot of work and time, so it's going to be hard to figure out how to make it go smoothly."
"At first, I used to pinch each piece with my hands to make a shape, but then the thickness and size would vary..."
Luna continued her words, frowning just like Roland did.
The "station manager” who listened to the two gives an equally difficult look.
"I see. Then it will be difficult to make a lot of quantities. Lord Takumi, do you have any good wisdom?
"Then you just have to grab the unplugged shape! I'll have one too!
The moment Takumi tries to utter her words, she reaches out from behind her back and exposes one dragon-inspired Bread Galetta (Madeleine).
It's the Nyarch that was coming at some point.
Takumi, whoa, just cough one up, then, as usual, pinch Nyarch's back and hang up.
Without being in any way upset by the sight I'm no longer used to seeing, Roland throws Takumi a question.
"Do you think it's unplugged?
"Yeah. You're a mould made of thin metal rings. It will be just like bending a circle (round) into many shapes. You can push a pump on the thinly extended fabric to quickly unmold it. If you're going to make a lot, I think you're going to need some tools to reduce variation."
"That's convenient! Then let me talk to Mr. Gustav with you next time!
Takumi nods at Roland's words.
The "station manager” who saw it opened his mouth again.
"Well, it's time to pass the judgment on."
A thread of peans and tension strains the three of them who were completely in everyday mode.
I'm sure you'll get a pass for this reaction, Fidel was telling herself that as if she were half-strong.
"Fidel, Roland, and Luna. This baked treat you guys made is fun to look at and taste great. I'd say it's a“ souvenir "product."
"Oh, I don't know!
Fidel turns a blind eye to the words "station manager”.
But the "station manager" slowly spinned the word again once he controlled it with his hands.
"Bye. It is so sad that variations are of this kind. Some people want a lot of stuff in it, some people think they want a lot of stuff in a small amount?
"Ya, sure..."
With a sharp spot attached, Fidel gets her throat clogged all the time.
Two people, Roland and Luna, looked anxiously at what had happened.
The “station manager" continued to talk further with a gentle smile to the three of them, who looked strange and waited for the next word.
"You don't have to look like that. We'll have to renovate somewhere in the station building to start the store, and it'll take a little while before the production launches. In the meantime, consider variations in products that meet the expectations of a variety of customers. That's not the deal."
"Oh, and then...?
The station manager nodded loudly at Fidel, who stared at him with a flickering glimmer.
"Um, I don't mean passing!
"Oh, thank you very much!!
Momentum, deeply bowing Fidel's head.
Roland slaps that back, making sure he jumps and Luna puts her hand on his shoulder.
The three of us who got a passing word were blasting joy.
Takumi nodded many times, yeah, watching how they were growing, seemingly not spilling the shizuku accumulated in her eyes.
