Alex is taken aback as he couldn't rebuke Kalki and grunts before turning "I am leaving".

Kalki's eyes turn stern as he looks at his palm. The burn injury seems strange as it started spreading on his arm till his elbow now. He is feeling sick too but he doesn't know how he should treat this burn wound. It didn't heal completely this time. The pendant helped to heal but for only a few hours.

He sighs 'I should do something tomorrow to get the pendent'.

He frowns looking at his hand 'She… How did she get that pendant anyway? Did she fetch it without Xavier noticing? How could Xavier be this clueless? Or she must be extremely skilful. There is no way Xavier didn't notice her taking the pendant from his neck'

"Your Highness"

Kalki turns to see his spy. 

Why am I not mentioning him as Kalki's trusted servant? That's because every spy in this Realm is devoted to Kalki. They are well aware of how talented and ruthless their Crown Prince is. 

Moreover, they were not selected just randomly and given the job to spy on people. Apart from some heavy training sessions, they were tested many times discreetly for their loyalty towards the throne.

They know what the end is for the ones who even mistakenly chose to be disloyal. They all died. In the hands of the fellow trainees. That too was a method of training.

All the spies should never hesitate to get rid of the people disloyal to the throne. Even if it was your best friend who betrayed their realm, you should be ready to slay your sword with no mercy.

Back to the chamber.

The man kneels in front of Kalki and asks directly "I wanted to get the acknowledgement for this month as you asked Your Highness. Do you want me to keep an eye on Her Highness?".

Kalki nonchalantly replies "Remain in the shadows till I tell you to back off". 

The man wonders in his mind to decipher his Crown Prince's words 'Which means… Does he suspect her? So, I have to report everything Madam Maya does-'

Kalki adds waving his hand  "You can stay farther. Get a strong one with you".

The man bows and keeps the rolled edicts which are his reports of his work. He leaves without a word. He knows Kalki doesn't want anyone to speak more after he dismisses them with a wave.

He couldn't help wonder while walking away 'Stay farther? Does he mean I no longer need to hear whatever they talk? His Highness started to trust Her Highness? Ordering to get a strong one with me… Is Madam Maya in danger?! Or she would be?! I should get the best one at once! As usual, His Highness is warning me subtly. I should be vigilant till next month'.

Maya's Chamber.

Kalki opens the door and finds Maya is deep asleep. He watches Bhommi's head buried in the crook of Maya's neck. He wanted to roll his eyes but only his lips twitched 'As if they were born together…'

He walks towards the bed and his eyes search Maya's face intently. He watches her cheek normal and sighs 'It looks normal and who dared to slap her? Why is she not telling who it was? Maybe the person died after slapping her? Right'

He forwards his left hand and gets irked seeing the burn injuries didn't heal. He thought it would get better like before when he is next to Maya. But he is not at all feeling better instead he feels more hurt.

He feels his hand burning and walks out stumbling weakly.

He walks out with tons of thoughts in his mind 'She is good at many things. How skilled is she even with ropes? What life was she leading in her country? Was she a thief who used these techniques to survive? But I heard nothing like that. I saw the houses in the country without a damn door! Was she a hunter?'

He couldn't believe a girl who was a few years younger than him would be this talented.

'And why would a thief know about war strategies? Was she telling the truth? Did she learn from the Epics? She is full of surprises. As long as she doesn't stir trouble, she will stay by my side as Queen'.

"The Lion God will reincarnate as well…"

Kalki freezes in his steps and wh.i.p.s his head back towards Maya's chamber. He heard Bhommi's tiny voice as if she was mumbling in her sleep.

Maya is sleeping soundly and in her dream…

She is walking inside of a dense forest. It was so dark but it wasn't a problem at all for her. As if she has grown up here, she skillfully jumped and hopped over the fallen branches all over her way.

She forwards her hand ahead and smiles softly seeing a plant drying without water. She waves her hand and soon it starts raining. She grins seeing the plant and whispers "Grow well. I will check on you tomorrow".

She is about to enter a huge cave but stops hearing a growl. She muses "Did you find me already?"

But to her surprise, she felt someone or something's presence behind her.

She frowns "Strange. Who dares to attack me from behind?".

She turns and raises her eyebrows surprised. She asks mischievously "Oh! Are you here to die today?"

The giant fox in front of her leaps towards her without a warning but Maya smirks snapping her finger "Burn".

In the next moment, the fox burnt into ashes.

Maya clicks her tongue "Too bad. I can't spend a day without killing".

She turns towards the cave and freezes seeing something. She turns completely nervous as if she never killed a giant beast just a moment ago. She looked like a little girl caught while being naughty.

She stammers pointing to the fox's ashes "I-I swear! I didn't attack first!".

ROAR!!

Maya opens her eyes in shock "..." Huh Huh… He is mad! I must run!
