#117 - War criminal Tony
"Look, he's here." Greasepaint reached out and pointed to the sky.
It was the next morning, the time Yang Le had set for the arrival of the Metamorph.
Everyone looked up, following the direction of Greasepaint's finger, and sure enough, they spotted a black dot rapidly approaching from the sky.
"Is that a missile?" Hawkeye squinted, identifying the rapidly approaching object.
"Don't worry, that's him." Diamond War God reassured everyone.
While they were talking at the landing pad, the missile had already flown over Avengers Tower. When it was only a few hundred meters away, the missile suddenly began to transform, turning into a giant parachute, and finally slowly landed on the ground.
As soon as the parachute landed, it immediately began to coalesce, transforming into a black and white humanoid object with white circuits covering the black parts.
"Paratrooper One, Metamorph ready!" The Metamorph stretched out a large hand and gave a military salute.
"Stop it, stop it." Greasepaint waved his hand, stopping the Metamorph's abstract behavior.
"Allies, please allow me to introduce you." Diamond War God ignored the two clowns.
"Tian Gong Society agent, Metamorph."
"Is he a robot?" Tony noticed the Metamorph's unusual physiological structure; normal creatures don't have circuit boards growing on them.
"Gravanite Metamorph, artificial mechanical life." The Metamorph introduced himself.
"Pleased to meet you all. I've already read your files on the way here, so there's no need for self-introductions."
"Incredible." Dr. Banner, with seven degrees, looked at the Metamorph in shock.
"Thank you. Our race's birth is indeed a miracle," said the Metamorph.
Gravanite Metamorph, the most intelligent being in the Ben 10 universe, a species created by Azmuth. However, the appearance of the Metamorph also exceeded Azmuth's expectations; it can be said to be a race born by accident.
"Now is not the time to discuss knowledge, boys."
Banner wanted to ask questions, but was interrupted by Natasha, who had just arrived at the landing pad.
Everyone looked at Natasha and noticed her serious expression as she held a tablet.
"What's wrong, Natasha?" Steve asked.
"You can take a look at this, but the tablet is a bit small, so you'll have to take turns." Natasha went to hand the tablet to Steve, but the Metamorph intercepted it halfway.
"I have a good idea." The Metamorph said, inserting the tablet into his stomach.
After the tablet was completely submerged in his stomach, the Metamorph's body began to transform, eventually turning into an approximately 80-inch super-large screen.
"?" Tony and Banner looked at the screen in front of them, their brains momentarily crashing.
Before everyone could recover from their shock, the screen already had a picture, and began to play content.
The scene in the picture was a park, with many people enjoying a peaceful day. From the shooting angle, it should have been recorded by the park's surveillance cameras.
The picture began to zoom in, showing the protagonist of the recording to everyone. It was an ordinary adult male, looking no different from a normal person, but also somewhat different.
"He's a soldier." Steve immediately saw through it. As a living fossil of the army, he easily saw the differences in the man from some details.
The next second, the man took out a necklace from his collar, but the picture was not very clear, so it was difficult to see exactly what it was.
"Wait a minute, I'll try to fix it." The Metamorph paused the recording and began to repair it.
Before long, the recording began to become clear at a speed visible to the naked eye, and everyone finally saw the string of necklaces, with dog tags hanging on it, which also confirmed Steve's guess.
"Continue playing."
As soon as the Metamorph finished speaking, the recording started playing again. The man seemed a little nervous and anxious, constantly stroking the dog tags, as if they could bring him peace.
"I'll fast forward a bit."
The recording began to fast forward. After about five or six seconds, another short-haired man in a suit walked into the picture, carrying a black briefcase in his hand.
The man in the suit placed the suitcase next to the man, exchanged a few pleasantries with him, and the man seemed very excited, as if he was thanking him. The man in the suit said a few more words to him, and then put down the briefcase and left.
After the man in the suit left, the man tremblingly picked up the briefcase and opened it. Due to the angle, the contents of the box could not be seen clearly.
But don't worry, because the man took out the contents of the box in the next second. It was a strange-looking silver product, shaped like the letter V, but with a protrusion in the middle.
With the Metamorph's magnification and repair, everyone could see clearly that it seemed to be a tubular object. The man quickly showed everyone its use. The man took something the size of a candy and combined it with the V-shaped device, and then started to suck on the tube.
"Snorting drugs?" Tony looked surprised, and everyone else had a similar expression, except for Steve, who looked solemn.
Just as everyone was wondering, the recording suddenly changed. After the man took the thing, his body began to change.
The V-shaped device fell from his hand, and the man's exposed skin began to turn red. Hands, cheeks, the man began to heat up rapidly, and his clothes were ignited.
Finally, as the temperature continued to rise, the man exploded with a bang, and the recording screen was lost.
Everyone looked solemn, and then realized the extraordinariness of the recording.
"This is what happened this morning in a park in New York," Natasha began to explain.
"As you can see from the recording, after a man inhaled something, something changed in his body, turning him into a bomb, and the park was devastated by his explosion."
The Metamorph played a few pictures at the right time, all of which were of the park after the explosion.
The Avengers were full of doubts, but Yang Le was very familiar with this scene. Isn't this the Extremis virus? The Extremis virus that Ultron didn't solve is here again. It's just another peaceful day in New York City.
"Wait a minute." Tony's sudden voice attracted everyone's attention.
Tony frowned, as if he was recalling something. He said, "I seem to have seen something similar."
"No way, Stark?" Thor looked at him helplessly.
"Is this also related to you?"
Tony looked embarrassed. He had just dug this memory out of the depths of his mind. This thing seemed to be really related to him.
Dr. Banner glanced at Tony next to him and quietly moved a few steps away. It seemed that a crazy scientist was indeed more terrifying than a green giant.
"Stark?" Steve looked at Tony with a serious expression, like seeing a war criminal.
"Tell me everything you know."
