#140 - objection
Just as everyone was marveling at Wakanda's prosperity, the aircraft arrived at the landing pad.
Through the windows, they could see a number of people gathered in front of the landing pad, showing how much Wakanda valued their visit.
The aircraft slowly descended, and as the hatch opened, the group stepped out one after another.
On both sides of the path stood royal guards dressed identically to Okoye, holding spears and staring solemnly ahead.
At the end stood King T'Chaka, Queen Ramonda, and Princess Shuri, all in luxurious attire.
"Welcome to Wakanda," T'Chaka said, opening his arms and smiling.
"Thank you for your invitation, King T'Chaka," Fury said respectfully, bowing slightly, as he needed a favor and the necessary etiquette was required.
The others also greeted T'Chaka.
"I hope you enjoy our country," Ramonda said with a smile.
"That's for sure," Vision suddenly interjected, having taken in everything Wakanda had to offer along the way, he couldn't be more pleased with it.
"This is simply the most beautiful country on Earth; you've maintained the balance between technology and nature, and I can't find a single contradiction."
"I'm glad you say that," T'Challa said with a smile, the pride in his eyes undisguised, as it was the result of the entire nation's joint efforts since Wakanda's birth.
"Even if you say it so nicely, it won't work, because the person who wants to dismantle you isn't here," Shuri suddenly said.
"Shuri!" Ramonda scolded sternly.
"Sorry," Shuri immediately lowered her head and apologized.
"I apologize for the outburst," T'Chaka said, affectionately ruffling his daughter's head.
"But as Shuri said, Mr. Vision, we actually have no intention of reclaiming your body, but Wakanda is not a place where one person has the final say, and we must also listen to the opinions of other tribes."
T'Chaka's face was full of helplessness. One could see from his weathered face that he must have been a dignified and brave king when he was young, but in his old age, he inevitably put away his fangs and became constrained.
"I can understand that it's obviously unreasonable to hand over a national treasure to a stranger," Vision said understandingly.
"Father," T'Challa stepped forward, coming to T'Chaka's side.
"These two are agents from the Sky Engineering Association, Swampfire and Changeling, and this Changeling is one of the parties involved."
T'Chaka had noticed the two of them long ago; after all, they were oddly shaped and large, so it was hard not to notice them.
"Welcome, you two, I hope Wakanda can bring you a different experience," T'Challa welcomed them.
"I like it here," Swampfire perfected his alien persona.
"The plants that grow here must be very happy."
"That's something we've never thought about," T'Chaka was stunned, after all, they basically hadn't considered the feelings of plants except for ecological needs, since plants couldn't talk.
"I can understand," Swampfire said.
Shuri was obviously more interested in Changeling, who was covered in circuit boards, than in the plant-like Swampfire, but having just been scolded by Ramonda, even she could only suppress her curiosity and endure it for a while.
After another round of pleasantries, under T'Challa's leadership, they were escorted by the royal guards towards the council hall.
"I've asked the leaders of the other tribes to wait in the council hall," T'Chaka explained.
"After all, not everyone has good intentions towards outsiders."
Wakanda, with its treasure trove, has always been the target of outside觊觎. Although the Wakanda warriors are strong, there are still many who are not afraid of death, and once there is conflict, there will be casualties, and Wakanda is no exception.
With casualties, there will be hatred, something that even T'Chaka can't interfere with, so to avoid anyone not welcoming them, T'Challa simply had all the leaders go directly to the council hall, leaving only the royal family to welcome them.
This can be regarded as the helplessness of the emperor.
Soon, the group arrived in front of the council hall. The attendant in front of the door opened the door, revealing a spacious hall. In the center was a uniquely shaped chair, the king's seat, and around it were several chairs arranged on either side.
Some chairs were already occupied. They were dressed in different clothes, but all had a strong cultural atmosphere, and were printed with various totems and patterns, obviously they were the leaders of the various tribes.
"My King," the leaders stood up and saluted T'Chaka.
"No need to be so polite," T'Chaka waved his hand, indicating that they did not need to salute.
T'Chaka sat on the throne, Prince T'Challa sat beside him, Queen Ramonda and Princess Shuri sat on the other side, followed by the leaders of the various tribes.
As guests, Swampfire and Changeling sat below the leaders.
"Everyone!" As soon as T'Chaka sat down, he regained the majesty of an emperor.
"Today, our friends have come to Wakanda, wanting to resolve the mistakes we made before, namely, Ulysses stealing vibranium. Today, they have brought back the stolen vibranium for us, and we should thank them."
Changeling wriggled forward and spat out the vibranium ball hidden in his body. There was no way, unless Banner transformed into the Hulk, he and Swampfire were the only ones who could do it, so he could only carry it.
"Thank you again," T'Chaka stood up, and the other leaders also stood up, thanking the group in their unique way.
"And then the next item," T'Chaka said, and the other leaders quieted down, and the Avengers knew that it was time to get down to business.
"It's about Mr. Vision," T'Chaka raised his hand towards Vision.
"Mr. Vision's body is made of vibranium."
As soon as T'Chaka said this, the other leaders couldn't help but change their expressions, even though they hadn't shown any expression when they recovered the vibranium before.
"But this is not his own will," T'Chaka said immediately.
"Mr. Vision's birth was a beautiful accident, but he is a life, so I advocate that Mr. Vision's body does not belong to Wakanda, but to himself. I wonder what you all think."
"The Commerce Tribe has no objection," the blue-shirted leader said first.
"The River Tribe has no objection," the green-clothed elder said.
"The Mining Tribe has no objection," the red-clothed elder said.
"The Border Tribe has an objection," said the strong man in blue robes and white clothes.
This sudden dissenting voice attracted everyone's attention, and they all focused their attention on the leader of the Border Tribe.
"W'Kabi?" T'Challa murmured in a low voice, not expecting his good friend to speak out against his father.
"W'Kabi," T'Chaka said without changing his expression, simply saying his name.
W'Kabi rose from the meeting and walked to the throne.
"State your reasons."
