#185 - Gather
Actually, it wasn't hard to find him. George was a serious person after all, quite conspicuous among this group of "hippies."
Sure enough, Yang Le quickly spotted someone wearing a shirt, standing out from the crowd. Judging by his hair color and build, it was clearly George. However, what surprised Yang Le was that George didn't seem like a drunken alcoholic.
He sat squarely in front of the bar, glancing at the glass cabinet across from him. Through the reflection, he could clearly see the other person's appearance. Yes, it was indeed George. Although the reflection wasn't very clear, he definitely didn't look like a drunkard.
Moreover, George wasn't alone. Next to him sat another black-haired strongman of similar stature. The two of them sitting together looked very intimidating. Not to mention hippies, even gangsters wouldn't want to mess with them.
"What's wrong, Frank?" George asked, holding his glass in one hand. He had just wanted to take a sip when he noticed his companion's strange behavior.
"Someone is watching us," the strongman named Frank reminded George.
If Yang Le could observe George through the glass reflection, then Frank could definitely spot Yang Le as well. George heavily put down his glass, wanting to see who was looking for trouble.
Turning around and seeing Yang Le, he was stunned, swallowing the question that was about to come out of his mouth and replacing it with another sentence.
"Harby?"
"Uh, hello Uncle George," Yang Le said somewhat awkwardly, subconsciously raising his hand in greeting.
"You're back?" Contrary to Yang Le's expectations, George didn't fly into a rage, nor did he coldly ignore him. Instead, he was very calm, waving his hand to call Yang Le over.
"Come sit here."
Yang Le didn't decline, quickly walking over to George and sitting down. Frank, across from George, scrutinized Yang Le with a very aggressive gaze.
"Want something to drink?" George beckoned the bartender over.
"I don't know, you decide for me," Yang Le said, as it was his first time in such a place.
"Then a Coke it is." Seeing Yang Le like this, George knew he hadn't drunk alcohol before.
"Sugar-free or regular?"
"Regular is fine," Yang Le replied. Sugar-free? Even dogs wouldn't drink that!
The bartender was expressionless, seemingly not finding anything wrong with someone ordering Coke at a bar, and poured a glass of Coke neatly, handing it to Yang Le.
"Is it normal to drink Coke at a bar?" Yang Le asked.
"Even if you wanted a milkshake, I could still bring it to you," the bartender replied, wiping a glass.
"Believe me, these mercenaries are very strange. Some even order strawberry sundaes. The main thing is, they all support me, so I naturally have to satisfy their little requests."
"Love you! TJ!" Someone at the bar immediately responded, although it was a man.
Faced with such supportive customers, TJ naturally had to respond enthusiastically.
"FKY!" TJ responded with a raised middle finger.
Ignoring the liveliness over there, George started chatting with Yang Le, asking and answering questions.
"When did you come back?"
"Just now. I went to see Aunt May, and she told me a lot of things."
"Oh, so you know everything."
George picked up his glass and took a sip, the amber liquid being drunk in one gulp.
"I know, but there are some discrepancies. Aunt May told me you were an alcoholic."
"I was at first," George admitted, nodding.
"But then someone woke me up."
As George spoke, he pointed to the black-haired strongman next to him.
"Let me introduce you, Frank Castle." Frank's right hand went around George, extending towards Yang Le.
"Yang Le." Yang Le shook Frank's hand. The name 'Punisher' was still like thunder in his ears, but judging by his attire, it shouldn't be him yet.
"Frank, like me, used to be with the NYPD, but later he quit and became a private investigator. He was also the one May and them hired to watch over me."
George nudged Frank with his fist, saying with a smile.
"But this bastard beat me up on his first day on the job. I really should tell May and have them file a complaint against you."
Frank just grinned, not minding George's teasing.
"Uncle George," Yang Le called a halt to their banter.
"Regarding Gwen, what are your thoughts?"
"I was just about to talk to you about that." George shifted his butt, turning his body to face Yang Le, and said seriously.
"Harby, like Gwen, do you also have some unique abilities?"
"Yes," Yang Le admitted generously.
"Then I would like to ask you to come and help me." There was a pleading tone in George's voice.
"You should also know that those people are not something ordinary people can handle. Our strength may not be enough, but..."
"I agree," Yang Le said directly, not waiting for George to finish.
"I'm very happy that you can agree." George's eyebrows lifted, showing that he was very happy, but he still continued to say.
"But you should still think carefully. Those people destroyed an entire street."
"I'm here for that," Yang Le said firmly.
"You shouldn't underestimate a man, George." Frank put his hand on George's shoulder, stopping George's next words.
"He listened to the whole story and still came to you, which already shows that he is prepared."
"Alright." George nodded, then stood up.
"Come with me, this is not the place to talk. We have other comrades waiting to meet you."
Following George and Frank out of the bar and into the car, they soon arrived at their destination.
"We're here." George took the lead in getting out of the car, as he had been drinking, so Frank was driving.
Yang Le also got out of the car, and at first glance, he saw the striking logo - Oscorp.
"You should be able to guess who else is our comrade," George patted Yang Le's shoulder.
"That's indeed not hard to guess," Yang Le said with a smile.
Sure enough, as Yang Le expected, following George and Frank into the elevator and up to the top floor of the building, Yang Le saw two familiar faces.
"Hi! Peter, Harry," Yang Le greeted.
"Harby!" Peter and Harry said in unison, although Peter was more excited.
Peter put down his work and jumped over to Yang Le, clearly not a normal person.
"You look the same as before." Peter was about to give Yang Le a hug, but was stopped by Harry, who was behind him.
"You're crossing the line, Peter. Harby's first hug can't be from you," Harry said seriously.
"Ah? Right, right, right!" Peter immediately realized that Harry was talking about Gwen.
"You guys are quite different from before," Yang Le shook his head, ignoring their banter.
Not to mention Peter, who had been injected with the Lizard serum, Harry, who could keep up with his movements, was definitely not normal either.
"It's puberty, we developed a bit," Harry said with a smile, then pointed to George and Frank behind Yang Le.
"Uncle George and them also had a second development."
