"Bang!"
First, there was a loud noise, followed by the sound of rolling stones. Prowler Miles looked at the cracked wall in front of him, his expression uncertain, as if deep in thought.
"Looks like you failed?" The voice came from behind. Hearing this voice, Miles subconsciously shivered, a sense of fear welling up from the bottom of his heart.
"That's because someone helped him." Miles was eager to defend himself, turning around as he blurted out his excuse. Unfortunately, he only managed to say the first half of the sentence before being stopped by the person behind him.
"Shhh!" The man raised a finger to his lips, his head almost touching Miles's.
A uniquely shaped metal helmet covered the upper half of the man's face, making it impossible to guess his thoughts. The cold, narrow blue lenses faintly reflected Miles's expression. Even distorted by the lenses, Miles could see the fear on his face, looking absurd and ridiculous.
"I don't have time for your nonsense." The man slowly withdrew his right hand. "You know, you're just a trivial part of my many experiments. Do you remember why I approached you in the first place?"
Hearing the man's words, Miles felt as if he had lost all his strength, collapsing like a puddle of mud even while standing. He said, "Because I'm an interesting subject."
"Although there's a difference between what you said and what I meant, the general idea is the same." The man retracted his extended neck. Only then did Miles realize that the man's body was actually far away from him; he had merely extended his neck and arms. The distorted limbs were like rubber. This characteristic, when appearing on a human body, was not comical like in a cartoon, but rather disgusting.
"Remember, your universe is already destroyed. Your only purpose now is to complete my experiments and attract that person's attention."
The man's words triggered Miles's worst nightmare. He subconsciously clenched his fists, but immediately opened them again for fear of angering the man in front of him.
"Look at you, full of anger, yet afraid to confront me." The man seemed to lose interest. He wondered why he had ever been interested in this person.
But it didn't matter. After all, this person was just a small experiment he had done to pass the time while destroying the universe. Even if he died because of it, the man wouldn't feel any emotional fluctuations.
"Most of the others in your universe were also useless, unable to be stopped even by a small team of Tomorrow People." The man shook his head. "In the face of this crisis that could sweep through the entire multiverse, the weak can only be eliminated early."
"However," the man changed his tone, saying, "Although you didn't successfully capture this universe's Miles, you did attract the attention of another target, which is commendable."
"Success deserves a reward." As soon as the man finished speaking, a white light flashed, blinding Miles. When the light dissipated, an orange-red battle armor appeared in front of Miles.
"The Tomorrow People's armor, but I've added some small features. I hope you like it."
Miles looked at the armor in front of him, overwhelmed with gratitude. He had witnessed the power of this armor. Two people wearing this armor could break through the army of an entire country. The world's modern weapons were like toys in front of this armor.
'With this armor, maybe I can...' Miles tried hard not to let his gaze drift away from the armor, letting the armor shield his entire body. He was afraid that the man would see the hatred twisting his expression.
Miles had never forgotten the hatred he carried. The man in front of him had destroyed his earth, and he had only been kept alive because he was interesting. Miles's emotions had gone from fear to anger to now being hidden and unexpressed.
Miles knew very well that it was impossible to take revenge with his own strength, so he had been obediently acting as the man's test subject, all for the sake of one day being able to take revenge.
Looking at the armor in front of him, Miles felt that that day was getting closer and closer. As long as he continued to lie low, he might one day be able to avenge his earth and his family. That day wouldn't be too far away.
Thinking of this, Miles lowered his head and slowly said, "Thank you, Creator."
The Creator, or the name we are more familiar with—Reed Richards, twitched the corner of his mouth as he looked at Miles pretending to submit. This was not because he was happy about Miles's submission, but because Reed couldn't help but laugh at the clumsy performance in front of him.
'Hehe, can't laugh, can't laugh yet!' Reed finally managed to hold back his laughter. The main reason he kept Miles was that this clown easily amused him.
Time was getting tighter and tighter, and even Reed couldn't help but feel nervous. At this time, he needed someone like Miles to make him laugh.
It's a pity that jokes have a shelf life. Now, Miles is also difficult to amuse him, so it's almost time for him to play his last role.
Hanging up the connection with Miles, the Reed in front of Miles disappeared. Of course, Reed still had many things to be busy with, and it was impossible for him to run to Miles for a small matter, unless it was a very important matter, otherwise he would spend most of his time in his laboratory.
But right now, there was indeed something that required him to spend some experience, and maybe even needed him to go and see it himself.
Reed waved his hand, and a photo was projected into the air by him.
The latest novel is first published at Six Nine Book Bar!
A body as deep as the universe, a star river iron wrist containing enormous energy, and a iconic trident head, it was Yang Le who transformed into X-Gundam.
"I hope you can bring me a different answer." Reed murmured in a low voice.
At the same time, Yang Le, who had turned into Clock King, suddenly felt something strange.
"What's going on?" Yang Le frowned, and after removing the time backtracking, he stretched his right hand into the air, as if touching something.
"What's wrong, Hapi?" Gwen was the first to notice Yang Le's abnormality and immediately asked.
Yang Le slowly retracted his outstretched hand, his face solemn, and said, "Time has become different, it seems more fragile?"
When Yang Le said this, the spiders were puzzled and didn't understand what Yang Le was talking about at all. Of course, unlike the Chronosapiens, who are extremely sensitive to time, most races could not perceive the changes Yang Le was talking about.
