#407 - Loss of fighting spirit
"If I hadn't come, who else could have taken you away?" Yang Le transformed into Four Arms, placing his arms on the iron chains and pulling with all his might. He was surprised to find that he couldn't even budge them.
"Don't underestimate these chains. They were forged by the fire god Hephaestus. Even Hercules, the mighty hero, couldn't break free," Diana sighed. "You should leave quickly before they discover you."
Looking at the dejected Diana, Yang Le remained silent. This time, he used the fusion hero Four Arms Tyrannosaurus, and even with all his power, he could only make the chains rattle, but it was still ineffective.
Yang Le then transformed into NRG, and even under the destruction of the nuclear iron gauntlets, the chains remained intact. It seemed that a frontal assault to break these chains would indeed require some effort.
"I told you it was useless," Diana acted as a Gloomy Gus, sighing beside him.
"This isn't like the you I know." With a flash of white light, Yang Le transformed into a completely new fusion hero. He looked like a purple humanoid frog.
"Magic Knight," Yang Le introduced himself, something he hadn't done in a long time. This fusion hero was formed by combining Spitter and an Anodite, Spitter's wisdom combined with the Anodite's strange abilities, the purpose of which was to deal with magical enemies with all sorts of weird abilities.
Yang Le stretched out his frog palm and fiddled with the chains, his mouth not idle as he said, "What exactly happened? You don't look like Wonder Woman at all right now."
"I'm not Wonder Woman anymore," Diana sighed. "I lost to Troia in battle. Not only that, but I also lost my tribe. I can't even avenge my mother. I've lost my qualification as a warrior. Perhaps dying in a dungeon is the best outcome for me."
"The sisters in your tribe are suffering outside," Yang Le stuck out his tongue and licked the chain. "Don't you want to lead them in resistance?"
"Wonder Woman might be able to, but I'm not her anymore," Diana said dejectedly.
Yang Le stopped talking. He sensed that something was wrong with Diana, and he was thinking about how to reinvigorate her. His movements became faster, and after a few seconds, with a crack, the chains actually broke.
"How did you do that?" Diana's tone changed for the first time, obviously surprised that Yang Le could break the chains.
"It's simple," Yang Le pointed to his head. "As long as you understand Hephaestus's technology, this chain can be easily solved. I'll record these things later. The fire god's forging technology is a good thing."
With the first experience, the remaining chains were easy to solve. Yang Le used the same method and unlocked all the chains in just a few minutes. He didn't waste the broken chains either, picking them all up to take away. These were all good things, and maybe they could collide with the N metal he had picked up before to create different sparks.
Yang Le then looked at Diana. Although Yang Le broke all the chains and shackles, the latter was still sitting on the ground, with no intention of leaving with him.
"What exactly happened, Diana?" Yang Le walked up to Diana. Because Magic Knight inherited Spitter's excellent genes, Yang Le was shorter standing than Diana was sitting. Diana didn't even have to look up to meet Yang Le's eyes.
Under Yang Le's repeated questioning, Diana finally told him what had happened in the past few days.
First was the competition for the title of Wonder Woman. Without the help of artifacts, the two demigods were on the same starting line. The only factors that could determine the winner were combat experience and skill.
At first, Diana was indeed at an advantage with her rich combat experience, but for some reason, Troia became more and more fierce as she fought, from being able to only passively defend at the beginning to being able to fight back later, gradually becoming evenly matched with Diana.
Troia became more and more powerful as she fought, while Diana became more and more constrained. At first, she was prepared to quickly take down Troia, but she didn't expect to fail. Because she was afraid of hurting her mother's body, Diana instead defended, and the relationship between the two's offense and defense was completely reversed.
Defending alone would certainly not lead to victory. After a day and a night of offense and defense, Diana was finally defeated by Troia. The rest was simple. Diana, no longer Wonder Woman, lost some of her artifacts, which were handed over to the new Wonder Woman, Troia.
Although the weapons given to Diana by the gods would not be transferred, Circe would certainly not return them to Diana. Originally, the artifacts were jointly guarded by both sides, but the Lost Amazonians suddenly launched an attack, took down the Amazons, and seized all the artifacts.
The Amazons certainly wouldn't sit idly by and prepared to have a great battle with this group of unfaithful people, but they were ambushed by the Lost Amazonians.
With the help of Circe's magic, even with Diana leading them, the Amazons were still turtles in a jar. After all, the other side also had a Troia who was no weaker than Diana.
The final outcome was that the entire Amazon tribe became prisoners. The others were dragged off to serve as coolies, while Diana herself was imprisoned in the dungeon.
"I will never forget the disappointed expressions on the faces of my fellow tribeswomen when they looked at me," Diana hid her face in her hair.
"Two failures have not only ruined myself, but also my compatriots. Circe said that if I rebel again, she will kill my compatriots."
Yang Le understood. No wonder Diana had become so constrained. The witch Circe had indeed made a good move, first using two failures to strike at Diana's confidence, and finally using the threat of her tribe's lives to make her hesitant. Don't look at these clear bystander strategies. Even if you break it down and explain it to the person involved, she may not be able to get out of it.
Diana is like this now. She has doubts about her ability. She is afraid that she will not be able to lead her tribe to success, and the price of failure is the death of her compatriots. This is obviously something Diana cannot accept.
This is indeed a bit troublesome, because even if Yang Le takes action to help Diana solve all the problems, she will not be able to regain her lost confidence. This matter can only be solved by her own efforts, which is to say, she needs something to force her to take a step she dares not take.
After a brief thought, Yang Le quickly came to a conclusion through Magic Knight's clever main brain, that is, there is no need for him to take action, Circe will come out to cause trouble herself.
Even if the main brain says so, Yang Le still has to find a way to take Diana away first, after all, he can't let her stay in the dungeon all the time.
"Come with me, Diana," Yang Le stretched out his right hand to Diana. "You can never turn things around by staying here. Why not leave with me and then think of a way."
"I can't abandon my sisters," Diana shook her head.
"You can't help them by being here now," Yang Le said. "No matter what Circe's purpose is, she will definitely not kill the Amazons at will. Otherwise, she wouldn't bother to help Troia seize the queen's position. You have no other purpose here except to let her have fun with you and let her insult you."
Diana hesitated for a while after listening, and finally took Yang Le's outstretched hand. Yang Le used his free hand to casually open a portal, while pulling Diana away from the dungeon.
Several hours later, Circe, who slowly walked to the dungeon, ready to carry out her after-dinner activities, only saw an empty dungeon, but the next second, her own angry roar filled the entire dungeon.
The DC universe will skip forward in time, which means that the following plot will take place several years later. This is a small conclusion, so tomorrow's update will be back to writing the mutant plot of Marvel. I have been keeping it in my brain for a long time. If I hadn't watched X-Men recently, I would have forgotten. I watched the interpretation of the X-Men animation some time ago, and I was shocked. The BOSS that I racked my brains to come up with actually has foreshadowing in the animation. It's not easy to be a fanfic author. Will unpopular BOSS also collide with the official one?
