#515 - Sentinel's Death
As mentioned before, the biggest improvement of Ultimate Wildmutt over Wildmutt isn't the enhancement of his physical abilities or the increase in his energy absorption limit, but his ability to convert the absorbed energy into any energy he knows.
Although Ultimate Wildmutt cannot construct a stable sun like Atomix, he can still emit energy in a similar form.
The six yellow rays shot out in different directions like fireworks from a firework tube, one of which was aimed at Pooba and his group. Gwen, with her spider-sense, sensed the attack from behind and immediately turned around, just in time to see Ghostfreak dissipate and Ultimate Wildmutt fall to the ground.
She casually pushed Pooba away to prevent him from being hit by the ray, and then Gwen ran towards Ultimate Wildmutt as quickly as possible.
Although his body was clumsy, Pooba, being an intelligent hero, was quick-witted. After being pushed by Gwen and stumbling, his gaze followed Gwen's movement and he saw everything that had just happened.
"Gwen, come back!" Pooba reached out to grab Gwen, but it was too late. He couldn't be faster than Spider-Man. "Swallow her, Upchuck! Hurry!"
Upchuck didn't understand what was happening, but he chose to listen to his slightly smarter companion. He opened his large mouth and shot out his three tongues at an incredible speed, catching up with Gwen in the blink of an eye.
He casually wrapped his tongue around Gwen's slender waist, and Upchuck desperately retracted his tongue.
Gwen's eyes were always focused forward. With her spider abilities, everything in front of her entered slow motion. Since Ultimate Wildmutt had fainted, no one could control Robert, who had turned into a bomb. The violent gamma energy finally began to spread around as it wished.
Like a flood, the green energy was gradually about to touch Ultimate Wildmutt, who was closest to it. Just then, a white web stuck to Ultimate Wildmutt and pulled him up.
It was Gwen. The web she shot pulled up Ultimate Wildmutt, and Upchuck's tongue also pulled her, taking both of them away.
Unfortunately, the weight of the two slowed down Upchuck's speed. Seeing that the green energy was about to catch up with them, Pooba, who had already stood up, reached out and used a chemical gas to dissolve the web connecting Gwen and Ultimate Wildmutt.
"Whoosh!"
This greatly increased the speed. Gwen was swallowed into Upchuck's mouth at a speed invisible to the naked eye. The out-of-control Ultimate Wildmutt rolled on the ground several times before Pooba stopped him with his foot.
"You can't even handle this little thing." Pooba looked at Ultimate Wildmutt under his feet with disdain, completely forgetting that they were the ones who didn't protect the ADC in the team fight.
He spat in disgust, and a stream of green gas floated out of his breathing mask. Then, Pooba calmly faced the overwhelming gamma energy.
Anyway, the Omnitrix has a protection mechanism. When he really faces the danger of gamma radiation, he will definitely transform into an alien hero who can ignore this radiation, so he's not afraid at all.
Atomix/Nuclear Man: "Sweet as honey, how do you say sweet as honey?"
As for Gwen, although the Splinter armor is likely unable to withstand this level of radiation, fortunately Upchuck is nearby. As long as Upchuck swallows Gwen into his stomach's pocket dimension, these radiations cannot affect her.
Once Gwen is safe, Yang Le can take the next step. What do you need to do to quickly spread something?
The answer is simple: turn the Omnitrix, select Clockwork, and then the key point comes: don't be a blockhead like Ben. Little eyes look at the teacher, good children follow the teacher's movements, gently press the dial.
"Bang!"
The white light dissipated, celebrate! The bronze-colored, chubby mechanical lifeform Clockwork made a brilliant debut.
However, although Yang Le's movements were already very fast, the energy that had been suppressed by Ultimate Wildmutt for so long was obviously faster. Like a dam that had burst, it had already crossed Clockwork in the blink of an eye and began to spread towards the area a thousand meters away.
Yang Le didn't dare to be careless, and immediately desperately turned the key on his head. Spacetime energy began to spread outward at a speed that did not belong to gamma energy, and finally stopped it near the edge of New York State.
"Phew~"
Clockwork, taking a long breath, wiped the non-existent sweat from his forehead. He chose to pause the time of the gamma energy first, rather than directly reversing it, because Yang Le wanted to first control the danger within a very small range, and then reverse time in one go.
This is undoubtedly more efficient than chasing after the gradually spreading gamma energy to clean up the mess, at least that's what Yang Le thought.
However, when Yang Le wanted to reverse time, he discovered something strange, that is, what filled the air didn't seem to be gamma energy.
Because time was paused, Yang Le could fully feel the energy spreading around him, and because Clockwork was a mechanical lifeform, those radiations that were harmful to the flesh could not harm him, so he quickly discovered the strange things around him.
Having cleaned up gamma giants for a day, Yang Le had long been familiar with what kind of energy they used. What filled the atmosphere was definitely not gamma energy, Yang Le could guarantee that.
But what was it then? Yang Le had never felt such energy, disordered yet… full of hope?
Yang Le looked around and finally found some different things. It was a wisp of golden translucent spirit, and the golden tights perfectly set off his muscles. Although there shouldn't be wind in the time-paused space, the cloak behind him fluttered without wind, and so did his golden long hair.
The big S on his abdomen proved his identity, which was the strongest superhero recognized by Marvel, and also the core figure of this incident, Robert Reynolds, or rather, Sentry.
"Hello." Sentry waved his right hand at Yang Le in greeting. "This is the first time I've talked to someone in this state, and of course it may be the last time."
"Are you Robert?" Yang Le asked suspiciously.
"Yes and no." Robert slowly placed his right hand on his chest. "Robert Reynolds only occupies one-third of me, and it's all some emotions like regret. Two-thirds of the rest are some of what you gave me before, and the rest I made up for myself."
"So the one standing in front of you should be Sentry, of course I'm about to die, so it doesn't matter whether this name exists or not."
Sentry said extremely desperate words with a smile, accompanied by the paused time around him, there was a sense of the end of the century.
Sentry's demise after not appearing much is really something I myself couldn't hold back.
