#663 - Such a cheesy couple
Yang Le strictly maintained his identity. In his eyes, Thor was just a strange superhuman from another country.
"My information isn't that well-informed," Thor said, accepting the note without betraying any emotion. "Thank you very much for your help, friend. I might disappear for a while, but I promise I'll never forget your kindness."
Thor was actually considering telling Yang Le about Asgard, but the gap between modern-day Earth and the Earth he knew from hundreds of years ago was too vast. Besides, his father, Odin, had said it was best to keep this mission low-profile.
Unfortunately, Thor would have to wait until he received Odin's approval to reveal his true identity to Yang Le. This feeling of deliberate concealment made Thor uncomfortable.
Thor decided that once he completed his mission and returned to Asgard, he would ask the King of the Gods for permission to bring Yang Le to Asgard for a visit, to make up for the guilt he felt.
If Yang Le knew what the blond giant in front of him was thinking, he might feel ashamed.
Although Thor had approached Yang Le with a hint of calculation, after a brief interaction, Yang Le did have the idea of becoming friends with Thor.
Yang Le didn't have many friends. Gwen was his girlfriend, so she was excluded. The Peters from Universe 65B, Universe 616B, Universe 1610B, and Universe 90214 counted as four. Penny and Spider-Ham also counted, plus the twins from the Fantastic Four.
That made a total of eight people. Oh right, there was also Gwenpool recently, but that was only nine people. For one person's social circle, that was considered small, but these were all friends he could entrust his life to, so Yang Le always felt proud to have such a group of friends.
In Universe 9527, Yang Le hadn't really made a true friend. Now, Thor in front of him was a good choice. Although their meeting involved many lies, Yang Le felt that these could be gradually resolved over time.
Simply put, Yang Le thought Thor was a good person to get to know better. After all, no one would dislike having more friends, especially such a powerful friend like Thor.
This was a ruthless person who could easily surpass the level of a single universe based on his own abilities, without relying on external advantages. Having him as a friend was indeed reassuring.
Since he had the idea of deepening their connection, Yang Le needed to put in serious effort to help him. This time, unless Loki wasn't on Earth, Yang Le would definitely find him.
The two chatted briefly and then parted ways. Yang Le got into his assembled pickup truck, while Thor reached out and recalled the hammer that was pinning down the unknown hero. Then, amidst Yang Le's feigned amazement, he swung the hammer and flew away.
By the way, Yang Le told Thor how to find him before he left, which meant he gave Thor the location of Gwenpool's base. After all, his and Gwen's apartment had become a crime scene.
And Yang Le, who had been busy for a long time, finally returned to a place where he could rest well for a while.
Looking at the garage covered in various graffiti by Gwen, Yang Le was no longer surprised by Gwenpool's erratic taste. She must have watched some comic or TV series, which was why she dirtied and messed up the walls that had been so carefully painted.
Besides, no gang member would paint My Little Pony and Spongebob Squarepants on the walls, would they? Would they? Would they?
After taking out the communicator and asking Gwenpool to open the door, Yang Le drove the pickup truck slowly into the garage with an awkward expression amidst a rousing Avengers theme song.
"Welcome back, great hero."
Yang Le had just gotten out of the car when he heard a familiar voice greeting him. He looked up and saw Gwen looking at him with a nervous expression.
"How is it? Did you miss me?" Gwen lightly tapped her toes, twisting the pink dyed ends of her hair with her right hand, her eyes darting around, looking like a maiden in love, and... also like a mischievous and guilty imp.
"Stop it, Poole," Yang Le said, his expression unchanged, as he walked towards the truck bed, seeing through Gwenpool's disguise with just one glance.
"What?" Gwenpool pouted and checked her appearance. "I don't think I have any flaws. How did you find out?"
"I'm a telekinetic mage, Poole," Yang Le said, extending his index finger and pointing at the money bag on the truck bed. A purple energy shot out from his finger and enveloped the money bag.
The money bag slowly floated up, eventually following Yang Le out of the car and into the garage, following his steps.
"A telekinetic mage can sense deeper things once they reach a certain level. I can sense the subtle differences between you and Gwen, and there's also the most important thing..."
Yang Le walked inside on his own, and Gwenpool quickly followed, asking, "What? What? What's the most important thing?"
"I can't see familiar things in your eyes," Yang Le didn't say it, but his hand gestured in an extremely greasy way, extremely greasy for Gwenpool.
"Ew~" Gwenpool frowned, seeming genuinely disgusted. "Okay, you win."
As soon as Gwenpool finished speaking, a beautiful figure fell from the ceiling, her body light and nimble, not even making a sound, taking the ten dollars that Gwenpool was holding.
"I told you you couldn't fool him," Valeria shook the ten dollars in her hand and put it in her upper pocket. Behind her was Gwen, who had just landed.
"How would I know if I didn't try?" Gwenpool reached out and wiped off the black mark drawn on her front tooth, which she had specially drawn to imitate Gwen's uneven teeth.
"Now you know?" Gwen tried to keep her tone calm, but still couldn't hide the joy in it.
"I know, I know, imitating couples," Gwenpool took the water that Katie, who had emerged from the ground, handed her. She took a sip and continued.
"Why didn't Gone with the Wind ask you two to act in it?"
"Maybe because we weren't born at that time?" Yang Le replied, and then used magic to place a large bag of gold coins on the ground, making a loud bang.
"What is this thing?" Gwen came forward, originally wanting to say a few words to Yang Le, but was startled by the sound of the money bag as soon as she got close. The other girls were also attracted by the sight and looked over.
"This is what Donald Duck's uncle likes the most," Yang Le said with a smile, then opened the money bag and kicked it, only to find that he couldn't kick it.
"I should have used magic to strengthen it," Yang Le said, sucking in a breath and standing on one leg.
