#776 - The origin of fear, the Supreme Heaven Hall, appears
In short, the current X-Men are trapped in a vicious cycle; they can only barely survive. Once Magik's stamina is exhausted, it will all be over.
And this future isn't far off.
Finally, Magik was caught off guard, and Magneto seized an opening. A steel bar pierced her left calf from an extremely tricky angle with perfect accuracy.
"Ah!"
Magik cried out, instantly losing her balance, but she didn't give up. She summoned a disc of light beneath her and fell into it.
But it was too slow. Magneto subtly wiggled the steel bar in Magik's leg, and the intense pain made it impossible for her to even think.
With a flick of his fingers, Magneto grabbed the steel bar and pulled Magik out of the disc upside down. Magik tried to pull the steel bar out of her leg, but she couldn't even budge it.
That was natural. The steel bar was still under Magneto's control. Magik trying to pull it out was like wrestling with magnetic force; she definitely couldn't do it with her strength alone.
The only solution Magik could think of was to sever her left calf, but her Soulsword couldn't do that because it was only lethal to magical creatures, and she wasn't considered a magical creature in her human form.
As for her demon form, she had just used it when fighting Magneto, and she didn't have the strength to use it again. But it didn't matter; she didn't just have the Soulsword as an attack method. She could also use magic.
Magik made a hand seal and chanted a spell, enduring the pain as she trembled and made several gestures with her free left hand. Then, a sword made of orange energy appeared out of thin air next to her left leg, about to strike.
"Ding!"
Magik's eyes widened. A purple barrier appeared out of nowhere in the path of her magical blade. She had never heard of this magical energy, but Magik could feel its purity.
"Such beautiful legs, it would be a shame to cut them off."
Perhaps it had been too long since he had spoken to anyone, but the first words spoken by the Celestial when he tore through space were very improper. He sounded like a pervert from somewhere, not a dimensional demon god who owned a dimension.
"Illyana Rasputin," the Celestial slowly uttered Magik's name. "As a newly advanced dimensional demon god, your performance doesn't warrant this title."
After speaking, the Celestial snapped his claws, and the originally hard steel bar was enveloped in purple energy. Then, it melted like a liquid and fused into Magik's calf.
Having lost the constraint of the steel bar, Magik naturally fell to the ground. Upon landing, she hurriedly looked at her calf and found that there wasn't even a wound or blood, let alone a steel bar. Even her stockings had been mended.
"Equivalent exchange, the most basic lesson in magic," the Celestial explained. "Steel bars, trace elements in the air, plus a small amount of magic, it's really too easy to heal this minor injury."
"Who are you?" Magik looked up at the clearly non-human creature in front of her. The Celestial looked like a bipedal turtle, except that this turtle had purple flames burning on its head and body.
"Like you, the Queen of Limbo," the Celestial stated Magik's true identity in one sentence. "I am also a dimensional demon god."
"Whoosh!"
Just as the Celestial wanted to elaborate on his identity, Magneto, who had been neglected, obviously didn't want to let this opportunity pass. He drew circles with both hands, and several eyeball-sized iron balls appeared beside him.
Magneto slapped out with his palm, and these newly condensed iron balls, mixed with electromagnetic force, shot towards the Celestial's back like arrows, a simple but effective electromagnetic cannon.
Deafeningly loud, the electromagnetic cannon instantly broke the sound barrier, and almost in the blink of an eye, it arrived next to the Celestial, so fast that Magik, who was facing Magneto, didn't have time to warn Yang Le.
Who knew that when these electromagnetic cannons were only half a meter away from the Celestial, they seemed to break through the surface of water, splashing countless ripples in the air, as if an invisible barrier had been broken.
Crossing that barrier, the electromagnetic cannons that could have penetrated tanks turned into harmless flowers. These flowers struck the Celestial's tortoise shell and shattered into countless petals that slowly fell.
"Equivalent exchange, remember?" The Celestial's skull head turned in the flames. This bizarre scene couldn't scare Magik, who grew up in hell, but combined with the daffodils that didn't match the Celestial, it could make her laugh.
"Don't be silly," Magik chuckled. "I've never seen a magician who can do what you do so easily."
"In fact, there are many people who can do this," the Celestial snapped his fingers again, and the X-Men who looked like they were cosplaying the Ultra Brothers were immediately freed. The metal crosses that originally bound them were also transformed into soft beds.
"This universe is much bigger than you think, and there are many things that will exceed what you consider common sense," the Celestial raised a finger like a teacher, explaining to Magik.
"For example, as a dimensional demon god, I don't have to abide by restrictions and can descend into the real world at will."
"Oh? I thought you were the same type as me," Magik curiously sized up the Celestial.
She always thought that the Celestial was the same type of dimensional demon god as her, because he was originally an Earth creature, so he could freely travel between the two worlds. She didn't expect the Celestial to not be.
"No, no, no," the Celestial waved his finger. "I'm not the same as you. You could say I have someone backing me."
It must be said that being on good terms with Eternity has many conveniences. For example, dimensional demon gods who cannot descend at will in the Marvel universe, Yang Le can ignore any restrictions and descend directly, as simple as taking a walk in his own backyard.
While the two were talking, Magneto was also attacking, but he used all his skills and still couldn't break through the Celestial's barrier. He was putting in all his effort but still couldn't win.
No! Not unable to win. Magneto has now become the God of Hammers; he still has a magical weapon that can help him.
Just like a certain magic master once said, you have to use magic to defeat magic, and it's best to leave professional matters to professionals.
Magneto summoned with his right hand, and the Sky Hammer, which had been circling around him, immediately stood in front of him. With the blessing of electromagnetic force, the originally indestructible Sky Hammer now looked even more terrifying.
Magneto accelerated the Sky Hammer using the method of accelerating an electromagnetic cannon. This perfect combination of magic and scientific power was about to be launched.
