#843 - Dust explosion
Yang Le's experience mostly came from the comics he had read. DC and Marvel, which have existed for nearly a hundred years, cover almost every superhero plot imaginable.
For example, the theme of mind control was already exhausted by the two major comic companies in the last century. It must be said that superheroes turning into villains for various reasons is still a timeless topic even now.
Similar plots often appear in Young Justice. Take Superboy, for example. There's always been a backdoor left by Lex Luthor in his brain.
As long as someone says a pre-set keyword, Superboy will enter a state like a robot in standby mode.
This problem can't be solved by mental abilities alone, and since there's no real threat at the moment, Yang Le has been ignoring it. After all, Young Justice can overcome this problem themselves.
But what's happening now is obviously unrelated to the backdoor left by Lex Luthor. Although Superboy can occasionally be a bit irritable, the way he was just now clearly exceeded the range of irritability. He looked like a super macho man who would commit domestic violence.
This doesn't fit Conner's character. Unlike the original, this universe's Conner had less of a sense of loneliness at the beginning, all thanks to Harby, this clone variant.
In the original, Conner was initially concerned about his identity as a clone. This inferiority complex was at its peak during the time Superman avoided him, and it gradually disappeared with the companionship of Young Justice and Superman's recognition.
But in this universe, Conner doesn't feel like he squeezed into the Young Justice group alone. He has Harby, who is also a clone, as his companion.
Another crucial point is that the original Young Justice wasn't shut down after the Cadmus Labs incident. They didn't make things too big, so the Justice League agreed to let them continue their activities.
Superboy also directly became a young hero, starting to fight as Superboy. This is actually not conducive to the mental health of Conner, the clone, and may lead him in a more irritable direction. It can only be said that it's thanks to the good kids in Young Justice.
And in this universe, Conner not only has the companionship of a brother but also rested for several months like a normal person. During this time, Megan stayed with him, and Wally and others would play games with him and do some activities.
A stable life gradually stabilized Conner's mind. He is now more stable than in the original and would never get angry for no reason, especially at Megan, with whom he has mutual affection.
Based on these reasons, Yang Le boldly speculated that someone was using mental abilities to control Conner. The fact was as he thought. His first feeling after entering Conner's brain was a mess.
Anger, anger piled up by various negative emotions, these things filled Conner's brain and were the culprit for his becoming so irritable.
"Someone is guiding Conner's negative emotions. He is now extremely irritable," Harby explained.
"He can't join the battle in this state. I will force him into a dormant state. Miss Martian, please take him to a safe location."
Miss Martian, seeing that Superboy was angry at her for special reasons, immediately wasn't so sad. She obediently hugged the unconscious Superboy and flew to a safe place.
'Okay, another one down.' Robin sighed. 'How are we going to deal with this big guy next?'
'Don't be discouraged, Robin.' Harby comforted. 'Based on the information you just gave, I've already thought of a way.'
Robin immediately asked: 'What way? It takes a considerable amount of explosives to turn Typhoon back into a human, but we don't have that much explosives around right now.'
Faced with Robin's question, Yang Le slowly uttered a term.
'Dust explosion.'
This term struck Robin's brain like a lightning bolt. That's right, a dust explosion can indeed release a considerable amount of power, and its raw materials can be easily obtained.
The place they are now is an amusement park, and there are many desserts that fit the theme of the park, among which various breads and cakes are the mainstream.
Unlike other amusement parks, the various foods in Nova Amusement Park are not semi-finished products or pre-made dishes pulled from factories. They are all made on-site from raw materials.
This is also one of the selling points of Nova Amusement Park. After all, the general public is very concerned about healthy eating, and Nova Amusement Park is rich and doesn't care about the labor costs, so it naturally uses this as a selling point.
This also means that Nova Amusement Park has a large amount of flour in stock. As long as these things are transferred over, or Typhoon is lured to the warehouse where the flour is stored, it can be solved.
So the current difficulties are three.
First, where is the place in Nova Amusement Park where flour and wheat flour are stored?
Second, how to lure Typhoon to the place where the flour is stored?
Third, how to make the concentration of flour in the air reach a level that can release a dust explosion?
As soon as these three questions appeared in Robin's mind, he immediately called Kid Flash in his heart.
'Kid Flash, I need you to find the place in the amusement park where flour is stored.'
While calling, Robin also sent the communication between himself and Harby just now to everyone. There is strength in numbers, maybe someone else has a solution to the problem that is giving him a headache?
'My Star Scepter can create a force field through cosmic power.'
Sure enough, as soon as the problem was sent out, Stargirl immediately had an idea.
'If all the flour can be confined to a relatively small space, it should be possible to reach a concentration sufficient to produce a dust explosion, right?'
Stargirl herself was not very confident. She just said the method she could think of based on her ability and Robin's description. In fact, she didn't know much about the phenomenon of dust explosion, and she didn't know if her suggestion was reasonable.
In her opinion, the dust in the house must be more concentrated than the dust outdoors. After all, the house is a relatively closed space. Her method was based on her experience of being choked by dust when she moved back to Blue Valley Town and cleaned the house not long ago.
'That's a great idea, Stargirl.' Robin curled his lips and praised Stargirl, and then he felt a sense of joy coming.
'Luring the enemy? I'm very good at this.' Plastic Man's cheap voice sounded in everyone's mind.
'Not to brag, even Superman sometimes can't stand me.'
