The Croesus' Bride [Completed]

Chapter 15: The Beach

Lucca Giovanni's POV

"Laura!" I called for Laura as I went to the bedroom. She was not there. I looked in the closet and bathroom, she was nowhere to be found. I was about to lose my mind where I cannot find her. I was about to call her cell when the door was opening and Talia and Laura were talking animatedly about France and castles.

"Oh my god, sister Laura, you have been a lot of places. I wish I could go and travel around like you," she said before noticing me in the bedroom.

"Brother," Talia said as she was clinging to Laura. She was looking at Talia before looking at me and stared into my orbs. Her amethyst stare was looking into my soul before Talia cleared her throat.

"Okay, so, I will let you pack for the picnic. I see you in a bit," Talia said before she went out of the bedroom. Laura smiled and nodded at her before closing the bedroom door. Suddenly, I felt nervous and this enormous between suddenly turn small. I was breathing heavily when Laura went to the bathroom to freshen up. I followed her into the bathroom.

"Laura, we need to talk," I said as I was leaning on the door frame. Laura was washing her face with a foaming cleanser and rinsed it. She took the towel and wiped her face. It was all bare and natural and she did not mind it at all that I looked her face without any makeup on. I was impressed when her skin was glowing.

"What's to talk about?" Laura said before taking her toothbrush and brushed her teeth. I gulped before rubbing the back of my neck.

"About our relationship," I began before she cleaned up her toothbrush and her teeth.

"what about it?" She said as she took the towel again and wiped her mouth. It was so enticing and full that I wanted to kiss it. No, Lucca, control yourself. You need to come clean before kissing her.

I cleared my throat before speaking, "I want to give our relationship a try, I mean a real relationship, not by some prenup that you want to use me for finding out your father's death. I want to make it right, I don't want to lie to anyone anymore," I said as I was rubbing my back neck and avoided her eyes. I don't want her to see me vulnerable as it was not in my vocabulary to be vulnerable, especially in front of a woman. She wiped her mouth and stopped after listening to my confession. She was quiet, not moving one bit and just stare at my reflection through the bathroom mirror.

she put down the towel before moving toward the door. I closed my eyes as I was sure she would just walk past me. If she did, I would never confess to anyone or be in a romantic relationship again. I was waiting for her to move past me but it did not. I slowly opened my eyes when I felt someone was staring at me. I opened to see the amethyst orbs that had my heart since childhood was looking at me at my most vulnerable state. And she was there. Staring. silently.

"You know how long I wait for that," she said before grabbing my face roughly and claimed my lips on my mouth. Rough. Passionate. lingering. My eyes went as wide as a saucer before I pulled her by the waist and crashed her back against the bathroom wall. She moaned and I groaned in response. I kissed her neck, ear, collarbone, and her face. It was so intoxicating that I have been wanting to do it ever since I watched her in the cemetery the first time in three years.

"You have no idea how long I wanted to do this," I said before going to her ears and neck. The hollow of her neck and shoulder made her moaned as it was the most sensitive skin and she writhed under my touch. I chuckled at her reaction and I was glad that only I can make her pant the way that she was right now.

"Earth to Lucca. Earth to Lucca!," Talia was calling out for me. I was zoning out to the fantasy that I had with Laura. Tis but a dream.

"Huh?" I said as I was just recovering to see Laura was walking alongside the shore. We had been to the beach half an hour ago. Laura was wearing a black cardigan and a skirt to cover her skin under the scorching sun. Her hair was on the loose and the wind makes it looks so glossy that made my hands itched to hold it.

"Brother!" Talia screamed as she kicked my leg.

"Ow, what the heck Talia!" I said as I was rubbing my leg. It was hurting like hell.

"Come join us, don't just sit here under the umbrella," she said before coming to my ear, "I saw the way you look at sister Laura," she said before running out of my reach. I threw the sand at her but she just giggling before I went to my mother and father. Lucia was coming toward me before I stood up and ran toward Laura. She was looking toward the horizon of the Mediterranean sea. I walked up to her to stand beside her.

"Looks beautiful, right?' I asked her, looking at her face.

"Yeah, it is," she said, referring to the view. I was referring to her face.

"let's take a walk," I said before taking her hand into mine.

"Lucca, your mother called. It's time to eat," Lucia came from behind as she dragged my arm and pulled me toward her. She put her breasts in between my arm and I felt disgusted. Laura was no help either. She just went away from me and just walked along the shore. I was walking toward the table as Laura was walking further from me. Only if she knew what my thoughts about her…

Laura Conti's POV

Lucca's ex just went and grabbed him to be out of my sight. I was frustrated but also scared to fight for him. I was only a fiancée on paper, not in real life. I was just using him to get information about my father's death. I was angry but at the same time afraid that I just distanced myself from his family. Even though I have always known them since my childhood.

"What are you doing here, Mio Figlio?" Lucca's dad, Uncle Lorenzo was talking from behind. I was startled at his voice but just looked at him, smiling.

"Nothing, just enjoying my walk. Do you want to join me," I said before holding out my hand toward him

"Si, Mio Figlio," he said as he took my offered hand. We were walking along the shore slowly as uncle Lorenzo was having some trouble walking.

"What's on your mind, Mio Figlio?" He asked but his face was unreadable. Just like Lucca. I chuckled at that thought.

"what's so funny?" He asked again.

I shook my head before answering him, "nothing, it just that you remind me of Lucca when he was in high school," I said as I was looking at him. He looked at me before smiling.

"I am so happy that Lucca had decided to marry you. It was your father's and my wish to connect the family. He would be happy at this news," he said as he patted my hand.

"I know he would," I said as I was looking at him. We were smiling and chuckling before someone cleared their throat from our behind.

"May I walk with my fiancée, father?" Lucca said as he looked into my eyes. His slate orbs were beaming like a storm was coming.

"of course, she's yours anyway. I need to get to your mother before she burst into flames," Uncle Lorenzo was winking at me before giggling. I smiled at his gesture.

"Father, please don't tell me you were flirting with my bride," Lucca said as if he was controlling his anger.

"Don't worry, she wouldn't go anywhere," he said as he patted Lucca's shoulder. Lucca grabbed my hand and continue the walk. I was holding onto him as his heat radiated and it turns my brain into dizziness. I can't forever be with him or I would lose control. I was holding to him more than I should.

"What's wrong, Laura?" He asked as he was looking at me concerned.

I smiled before shaking my head. "I'm fine thanks," I said as I was looking at the ocean again, avoiding his eyes.

"Why wouldn't you look at me?" Lucca said as he pulled my face to look into my eyes. I hesitantly looked away.

"Laura," he said huskily.

"Lucca, please, your mother was looking at us," I said.

"Let them be," he said as he pulled my face to look at him. We were staring into each other. He caressed my face as he pulled me closer.

"Laura," he said before he claimed my mouth. I instantly closed my eyes and snaked my hands into his neck. He pulled me closer as I pulled him closer, wanting to feel his body heat. We were at the moment when I heard a click.

Click!

I broke the kiss when I saw Talia was taking our picture. I was humiliated as I looked at Lucca. He was smirking at me before licking his lower lips.

How humiliating!
