The Crown Prince & I

Chapter 27 - A Guilty Chaol

The type of sister-in-law, who showed him beautiful places, give him tasty food, scream like child with him and have lots of fun with him. He loves her. And he prays, that sooner his brother would be able to conquer her heart. Only in that way, can he have a partner to have fun with.

After all, Sara's personality and Chaol's personality were so alike. They both love street food, they both love thrill, they both love adventure, they both love to dance, drink and all those things. In simple terms they can do or die for thrill and adventure.

And since, he is born without a mate. So, he is bound to be a loner. But his brother isn't. His brother is lucky to have a mate to experience completely different, blissful side of life. Plus,he always sees Sara as an elderly, respective figure, who can make all his wishes comes true.

Yep, his brother can deal with court and it's ages old norm. While he and Sara can travel all over the World, doing all the things, all the thrills, all the adventures, this Earth can showcase them. He really wished from the bottom of his heart, that may this girl turn out to be Jacob's mate.

Because then he will get an elder sister, who will be as rebellious as him, who will support his drive of thrill and adenture, who would sneak in and out of the house with him, who would listen to the scolding with him, who would get reprimanded with him. Though he doubt his brother would do that, when it comes to her.

After all, how could a person, who melted in completely, the moment this girl cry last time, bear to hurt her. Impossible, right!

"Ahhh!!!" And she groaned in frustration. For sure, the girl who would love to follow the book of discipline for her to actually sleep like a dead pig till evening and then to actually broke her promise. It was definitely more than enough to take toll on her.

" Fine. Give me half an hour." She urged Chaol, who nodded in return. Besides, he has to deal with his cold, grumpy brother, who unfortunately summoned him, most probably coz he knows Chaol was with Sara, or that Chaol was disturbing Sara.

But, come on, Chaol leaving the opportunity of roaming around like a carefree bird, was definitely impossible. So, he would from anything to everything to achieve it.

Not to mention that this guy had spent more than thousand of years of his life, living in that cold, abandoned Long Lost Kingdom of South (Mentioned in An Accident that leads to miracle ), with the remnants of magic all alone, still maintaining his sanity fully. So, how could he not explore when he was getting the golden chance to do that.

_______

The moment it took Sara to freshen up, dress up and make up were the time it took for both the brothers to talk telepathically. As Chaol being Chaol, he didn't really went to his brother. He was still leaning in the wall of hallway, next to Sara's room's door.

While Miranda standing next to him. Well, what can he say to this poor servant. After all, she was following the orders of his cruel, heartless brother. Even if he persuade her to leave, she won't. Even death persuade her to leave, she still won't. That the power of his brother's word.

What's more, these creatures can even kidnapped him in his own house, while giving him the feeling of being help captive as a hostage, the feeling of being grounded, just by one word from his brother. And it definitely has nothing to do with the fact, that guy wears the crown. Damnit! Crown or no crown, everyone just listened to almost each and every word of that guy. His brother. To whom he can't even curse. Not because he don't have the guts or he can't curse, or he isn't rebellious enough.

But because of one look from that guy and poor Chaol even forgot to breath to say nothing about speaking the words of rebel or curses. And here he was trying hard, to stand his ground against his brother, again.

' You know, she needs rest.' His brother's sound resounded.

' I do.' Chaol nodded.

' You know, you both were suppose to return before twilight.' Jacob asked.

' I do.' And Chaol, who till now was okay, was suddenly overwhelmed with guilt, all no-thanks to his manipulative, emotionally blackmailing brother.

' You know, she hadn't eaten anything from last night.' Jacob asked patiently.

' I do.' Chaol nodded once again, like a cute little child, admitted his mistakes.

' You know, you were suppose to act like a guard.' Jacob asked again.

' I do.' Chaol nodded again. Damn, his brother. That guys, surely know how to pick on others. How to defeat the other party, without even them realizing it.

' You know, her life is in danger.' Jacob continued. Making Chaol to feel like digging a hole somewhere to hide himself from his brother.

' I do.'

' Yet, you have the nerve to remind her about her promise.' Jacob asked with bit of sterness.

' I apologize.' Chaol nodded.

' Fine. I don't care, but i want you two back home before 7, tonight. Or else…' Jacob said, his sentence unfinished. But Chaol, didn't even need to know, what might possibly happened.

Well, that's what happened, when suddenly you turned from being first priority of this guy to second one. And he doesn't even need to ask to know, who this first priority is, or when did the ranks of priorities changed. Coz everything happened right in front of him.

And the 'her' in his every sentence tell very clearly, who she is.

He stare at the watch, it was just 5:15. Yet this guy wants them to be back before 7. Is that some kind of joke? Why not say, don't go, simply?
