The Crystals
13 Flirtic's Story part 3: Amaruka
I finally answered, "I want to move the planet."
Hearing my strange answer both of them naturally became shocked.
"If Sirius can pinpoint a proper location and Amaruka can use his wind power then it might be possible to move the planet," I continued, "Will the two of you help for the sake of our friendship?" Sirius became as confused as a student receiving his question paper in the maths exam. But Amaruka answered without delay, "Why not? But I need time to train myself. I was practicing a move I named as the 'tornado mammoth.' Once I master it, the task will be very plausible. It might take a month or so."
"Are you sure about that?" interrupted Sirius, "For moving a continent all you needed to do was push the wind below the continent and pull all the wind from above the continent."
"Don't worry. Let me do my work while you concentrate on yours."
"But can you be sure if it would work? Why don't you share the concept of the tornado mammoth? What does it do and why the word mammoth comes after the tornado than being placed before?"
"You heard me. Don't worry. I might not win any Olympics but it doesn't mean I don't have any knowledge about science. I obtained A+ in every of my science examinations."
"There isn't any harm in letting us know by the way."
"All I can say is that I want to surprise you guys."
The glorious day came in which my job was supposed to be done. Amaruka was ready, waiting to show off his moves he had been training for. He was a naïve friend which caused him to overlook my intentions. Though Sirius could feel the anomaly inside me, he could not find a perfect reason to dismiss my suspicous request.
"So, which direction?" asked Amaruka in a deep tone trying to show off as I continued to supervise both of them.
"We need to move 54 km perpendicularly away from the minor planet we are rotating at 12'o clock in the noon. Gravity will take care of the rest," answered Sirius while sweating abnormally probably thinking of Flirtic's intention and the risk they are taking.
"Then we shall wait," I ordered.
The look in my eyes was new to my friends. They never saw me being so serious. But they couldn't ask anything. The required time finally came.
Amaruka prepared himself both physically and mentally for the move.
Question remains: would someone actually be beastly enough to actually move a planet?
