The Demon Child - Awakening

Xirax and Abatson came back a few hours later, and we each got about a few hours of sleep, two of us keeping watch at a time. Xirax and I started, talking about what had happened, she was amazed at what happened since last time we met. After a while, we woke up Sashal and Abatson, going to sleep ourselves.

When the sky became blue, a portal appeared between everyone, Quinn, Lucyfer and Cynas appeared and we all jumped into a large tree, setting up a barrier so no one could see us. I looked at Quinn and he began to talk.

"I can see what you saw last night, wasn't that to the west of here?" He asked Sashal.

She quickly took out her compass and looked at it before talking again. "Yes, that is correct, the mine is to the west, and I can't believe what your uncle is doing,"

"It's a shame what he is doing,"

"Indeed, I heard he disappeared a while ago, your uncle that is,"

"A year, and this would've taken two, the stronghold, the mechanical vehicle, the chimeras, sorry Dysteral,"

"It's fine," I replied, he immediately looked towards Xirax and Abatson and began to talk again.

"Abatson, Xirax, it's your turn, what did you find in the earth and see in the sky?" Everyone then looked towards them.

"Hmmm, let us see, I sensed within the ground that the mine is much larger on the inside, and I was able to steal a small crystal from a cart, with only one guard thinking that it was one of the chimera's digging," Abatson then opened his mouth and put it down his throat. Afterwards, after some gagging and vomiting, with chunks of food and water came out, and then a grey crystal.

Abatson threw the crystal towards me, and I caught it, examining it carefully. Looked closer at it and saw that it had cracks in the crystal, and something was pulsing different colours. I looked at Quinn and he nodded, so carefully, I stabbed myself with the small crystal.

As soon as it pierced my body, into my soul, my entire being burnt, I was now in immense pain. I bit my right hand, trying to take my mind away, but it didn't work. It couldn't summon my incarnate weapon since I couldn't speak and I felt I couldn't gag myself with ice, so I lost footing, Quinn then made a portal and I found myself falling into the sea.

As soon as the cold water hit my body, it just made the pain worse, although no one could hear me now, drowning in the middle of the sea. I could begin to feel my body changing, every vein in my body being ripped apart and then remade, again and again, and again and again.

The small horns on my head began to grow back, they began to reverse into my skull and began to grow underneath my skin, underneath my hair. My nails did the same thing, as well as my teeth, my tail, my eyes and my ears. Soon after, they appeared back, and I could begin to feel the change of the water.

It was colder, making my pain even worse, and I had run out of the air to breathe, struggling on the ocean floor. Finally, I looked to the ocean floor, my vision beginning to cloud, with some small bubbles I saw from the ground.

Some went into my mouth and I could feel a small sense of relief, and that's when it hit me. Weakness, this situation now, was a sign of my weakness, and one thing I could never tolerate with myself was weakness, it was taboo for me.

I began punching the floor, over and over and over, every time, more and more bubbles appeared, giving me more strength. Over and over and over, and that's when I felt it, I began to hit my head, and then, a gush of air rushed into my body and by the time I knew it, I was in the air, and I didn't know what it was, but I looked back to where the island was.

I saw the souls of my teammates, still there waiting for me. I then had a plan, I looked back down to the sea, and so I started to fall. I put my hand out, and then it happened, lightning coursed through my fingers, and then, I touched the water.

I looked right to where they were and I saw the world slow down, and at that time, I appeared at the water near the beach. I jumped on the sand and leapt ten meters in the air. Before my descent, I created a sheet of ice beneath me and I jumped on that.

There was steam coming from all over my body, and usually, I would feel the pain like with my grey muscles, turning myself partially into lightning, but it was only there for a moment, and then it disappeared and the pain was gone. I looked at my hands and my markings, they hadn't changed, but then I tried to summon my chains without chanting, but it was useless.

"It worked, I'm stronger, but it's not enough, my body, no… my being is stronger, but I still need to chant to summon it, but… with this addictive power, I think we might have a chance,"

"Whilst you were away, Xirax noticed four other men made structures, a guard housing area, two places where the unknown metal vehicle stopped, and a chimera storage facility, we'll make our plan with Dyestral blood sacrifice ability to connect our minds, and then we'll talk,"

I did as Quinn asked, then we began to plan, for a little over two hours, and then finally, everyone remembered what they were doing. Then night came, and we all stood up, and silently, one by one, we disappeared.

Abatson took to the earth, Xirax, the sky. Astaroth, Lucyfer and Cynas each went through a different coloured portal and then Quinn jumped into one as well, making a hand gesture with his right hand by putting his index and middle finger to his head and fl.i.c.k.i.n.g it at us.

Then like last night, Sashal and I were alone again, and with the new power coursing through my body, I felt better than ever. Sashal and I began to walk north, knowing where we were going and what we would be doing.

Gener Weave, a demon noble with little to no power, creating chimeras illegally, for a missing person of the royal family and a man I still had a grudge on even after his death. Now it was time, to end something, something that made me change my life forever.
