The Demon Child - Awakening

I wake up in a prison cell all alone. My clothes all torn, but that happened when I flew due to the explosion. Even though I was lightheaded, I still remember vaguely what happened. My mother was dead and I have been captured by an army, it seems that my luck had run out quite early today, or yesterday. I don't know how long I was in that black murky darkness.

I had so many questions in which no one would be able to answer. I was in the cell for about an hour after I regained consciousness before a fully suited guard came to get me. I saw that he had an incarnate weapon on his belt and wearing full body armour, just by that I could see that he was a high ranking knight just by his appearance. Suddenly magic chains were bound to my hands and feet. When I walked out the guard immediately pushed me.

"Move" The guard commanded.

Knowing my luck, I kept my mouth shut and moved. We walked for what I guessed was 20 minutes before he pushed me into an interrogation room. It had a very unpleasant smell, there were no windows. The only things that filled the room were a lamp, two chairs and a table.

"Wait here" The guard ordered before closing the door and locking it.

As I was stuck in a room, I sat on one of the chairs and waited. To pass the time I just started counting, 10, 100, 200, 1,000. The moment I hit 1,000 the door was unlocked and someone came in. With a crown on his head and knowing his appearance, he was the king of Onsice: Nicholas the great. By how shocked I was to see that the king has come to see me, but he looked at me with disbelief. The king's staff glowed a bright red, then it was transferred into the lamp. The king sat down and looked at me, then he spoke.

"Greeting's child, I am the 92nd king of the royal throne, and I suspect you know why you're here" The king spoke.

"Not a clue your majesty" I replied back with a smile.

Suddenly the king's almighty personality changed quite a lot in a short time.

"Listen here you little prick, we know what power you have, so after the few questions we ask you, we're gonna kill you, and if you don't, we'll still kill you" The king snarled.

"Ok," I answered.

"Now, question one, why did you blow up a decent amount of Daishin,"

"I didn't blow it up, it was a demon with an explosion curse,"

Suddenly the staff that the king held was stabbed right through my hand

"We don't believe you so I'll ask you another question, who was that Demon," The King asked.

I didn't answer, I just felt a surge of anger that made the king quite scared, I take the staff out of my hand and the wound healed almost instantly. It was just like with the demon incident, but I could control my body. I calmed down and went back to normal. After the little incident, the king changed back to his first personality and sat back down.

"Now, if a demon blew up Daishin and you killed him, how did you survive the explosion?" The king sputtered out.

"I don't know how I survived, I went flying when the explosion happened, but I was knocked out when I hit the hill" I replied with.

Suddenly a man entered the room and both the king and I looked at him.

"Let me deal with him your majesty," The man spoke to the king.

"Uh, yes I should go, deal with him Jododam" The king responded with before leaving the room.

As shocked as I was to see that the king obeyed someone else, I was quite worried about who took his place. A tall man with black hair, black eyes, pretty much black all over. After the king left the room he immediately looked straight at me with a glare, this guy wasn't even trying to cover up how many sources he was emitting from his body. Eventually, he sat on the chair and turned the lamp down so it emitted less light. After that, he finally introduced himself.

"Greetings young one, I am Jododam, an archdemon subordinate of his majesty, please don't be scared of me, this time, ask me a question" Jododam spoke with a kind tone.

"I am Dyne, I have no last name, and why am I here?" I asked Jododam.

"Well, when we heard there was an explosion, the army went to investigate and they saw you in a hill, they took you back to Onsice for questioning,"

"I didn't cause the explosion, I killed a demon and he exploded,"

"Well, a demon with a curse that complex couldn't be defeated by such a lowly peasant,"

"What did you say!"

I got out of my chair and flipped over the table to look straight into Jododam's dark eyes. Jododam then sucker punched me in the stomach and I fell back onto the wall. As by how strong he was, I was grateful that I calmed down before he went forward. After Jododam punched me, he examined his fist like he was looking for injuries. After a while, he got his seat and sat down.

"Strange, I've never seen such a unique source in all my life," Jododam uttered with a shocked face.

"What is?" I asked Jododam.

"Your body appears and is human, but your soul is… like mine,"

"What does that mean?"

"It means that you are half demon Dyne, the first known human and demon hybrid in history,"

I'm part demon, I'm half of the thing that killed my mother. But how? My father and mother were human, so how can this be?

"That's a lie, my father and mother were both human, so how can I be half-demon!" I yelled at Jododam

"You might've had interference when your soul was still being grown," Jodam answered with.

"What do you mean?"

"It means that when you were in the w.o.m.b, something or someone made your soul a demon, you can't change it back,"

"Well what do I do now, I have nowhere to go and I have no money!"

"Well, project: enhancement can use a few more subjects?"

"What's the project: enhancement?"

"Project: Enhancement consists of twenty to thirty members of teenagers with great potential, we unlock that potential by training them,"

"So, my so-called 'potential' you can tap into and strengthen my abilities,"

"You are correct, are you in?"

Jododam then held out his hand to me. I got up and look him straight in the eye figuring out what I should do. If I don't shake, I'll be left alone, a stray with no place to go home. If I do, I'll have a roof over my head and I'll get stronger. I reached my hand over to shake Jododam's hand. I grabbed his hand and the deal was sealed. Suddenly Jododam put his head straight next to mine.

"Right choice, but I'm sorry what I'm about to do," Jododam whispered in my ear.

And I have been knocked out again, but this is different, this wasn't a pitch black. I stood in front of the mirror, I was staring back at myself. All of a sudden, a reflection past myself appeared, suddenly I could see that the figure touched my reflection. The reflection then shattered into 1000 pieces and what stood in front of me was a complete replica of me, but with black hair. The reflection then pointed at me even though I wasn't pointing. Suddenly my reflection said something "Wake up".

I open my eyes to see that I have been transported to a bedroom. I look around to see where I should go. I go towards what I expected the bathroom to wash my face. After my face hits the water I feel much more relieved. I look up to see what has changed but… there is an entirely different person staring at me.
