The Demon King Seems to Conquer the World
Episode 161: Fighting Chess Night
The university-wide chess match began again this year.
This is the third college-wide chess match I've ever known, but after all, a strong facial rash doesn't change that much, and there's a glimpse of the faces we had together at the first tournament.
The Ranking of Dormitory Skills in the Cavalry is, after all, not a corny replacement, and so is the ranking in the birch dorm.
There are many exceptions, of course, but the same delegate will appear twice and three times.
Myalo left last year, so I'm leaving this year.
Jula Lachramanus graduated this time, and there are no women from the Seven Witches, so it's an easy-going one.
If you think about it, it's just for two days, the second day is held after sundown, and I didn't think of it so much as a billion-dollar if you think of it as a regular distraction.
Last year Myalo, in fact, couldn't win.
Probably got out of hand because this is a problem when there was one last year and for the second year in a row the Knighthood won and that win meant that it was Gudanvier's traitor.
According to Myalo, who was a party, strong in this tournament are a woman named Leelika Kukrillison and a girl named Elilita Davich.
Leelika is the woman who won last year and was pretty strong when I fought in the semi-finals last year.
Elilita Davich is a really young girl I saw at the opening ceremony and according to the story, she's only eleven years old.
Apparently this girl has exceptional chess fighting arms as a young girl, and she became a delegate that year when she entered the birch dormitory.
I mean, he was there last year.
According to Senior Lily's story, she rubbed it aside from how many seniors lined up everything, how about newcomers become representatives, but anyway, the year before that, I was soothing, so there was a dark air that the victory would never be given again to the resentful enemy, and it was employable with emphasis on merit.
"Nice to meet you"
"Oh, nice to meet you"
I was shaking hands with Leelika Kukrillison on the stage of the nostalgic finals.
The Elilita in question seems to have fought her in a quasi-final and lost.
Leelika wore a tight dress with visible body lines.
Not at all like the daunting classical costume that Jula Lachramanus wore at that time.
I don't feel sexy because I don't have breasts, but my body was so slender that I thought I was slightly too skinny that I looked good in those outfits.
I'm wearing the same nightclub clothes that I was wearing.
"Get started."
And His Majesty the Queen said as she looked pleasant on the side.
There was a sound of the time gauger rolling the dice,
"Yuri is the leader."
I heard that.
Is there any injustice like then?
After all, I wonder if that was Lachramanus turning his hand.
The first hand never strayed, so he moved the infantry to pave the way for the bird drivers.
"Long time no see."
Whoa, I'm calling you.
Looks like we want to chat.
"Yeah, it's been two years"
Normally I miss it, and I don't have a bad image of this guy, so I responded with pleasure.
It's been two years and a day, to be exact.
Well, it could have been wrong somewhere.
"I tried so hard to fight you."
With that said, it looks like he decided to move the Wang Eagle Soldier.
Leelika pointed to the first hand.
"Really? I'm honored."
"It didn't come out last year."
"Yeah, I lost in the dorm..."
"That one seemed like a pretty good finger, too. I've never been given a win before."
Myalo's guy, don't find out.
We go ahead and pawn while we have a conversation.
This guy stopped thinking longer than before...
"Yuri repeatedly raised her arms against him."
"Well, yeah"
"Me, too, finally got my mutual counterparts into school. Elilita."
I see.
Well, if you don't have more opponents than your peers, your skill is something to stretch.
Doing something like hunting miscellaneous fish doesn't make sense, and putting on a handful of falls and stuff doesn't do any good after all.
"I was the opponent in the quasi-final, but I managed to get it down."
"Really?"
"But I don't think we can do it after next year"
I wonder how much room there is to stretch that being eleven years old and equal in skill to her.
At the age of stretch, we're going to get better and better.
"I also recognize myself as more of an arm than a crowd, but I can't beat genius. I can't even imitate that enthusiasm."
"If I'm going to make you say that much, I guess she's the next king. This tournament is going to be a one-sided game for a while."
I say, pointing to the pawn.
Eleven years old also means that if you suck, you could continue to sit on the throne for about a decade.
I guess I don't like chess originally and the effort won't be bitter, so it won't be as shady as my skill.
Well, originally this chess fight seemed like the normal air for the correctional home side to win, and it seems rather unusual for the cavalry to win, so I still feel good.
"... it's time for the middle of the fight, isn't it? Shall I seriously refer to it?"
"Yeah, that's right"
They stop chatting.
I need to keep my mind on this one.
The first battle was lost and the second won.
When the third battle also crossed the middle, Leelika opened her mouth again.
"I don't know, that sounds easy."
I say pompous.
I guess I don't need to read behind the words.
"Yeah, well."
In fact, it was amazingly easy.
I don't feel like I'm fighting.
I just feel like I enjoy playing chess as an entertainment.
Given that many people envy sitting in this chair per se, it could certainly have been an irrelevant feeling.
Nevertheless, I am doing everything I can, even with ease.
I feel spared (shuddering) and I'm not even referring to a distracted and shameful hand.
There was no hindsight.
"Unlike war, losing doesn't kill you?
Ah.
Indeed.
I feel like I've been dictated the core of a deep heart.
Right.
Maybe that's why I'm not bound to win or lose.
"Perhaps so. But I enjoy the battle. If it didn't seem serious, excuse me."
"I understand. I'm not blaming you."
That said, her face didn't actually seem particularly unpleasant.
"Well, maybe it's because you're a gentleman. Because honor is involved in the process of insulting someone if you win."
I brought up old things.
After I said it, I gently regret that it sounded sarcastic about witches.
"Oh, I'm sorry about that verse."
Apologized.
Unexpectedly, I turn to the audience.
There were many who did not speak up, but had a bewildered look.
The statement I just made is a little politically problematic.
Be a direct criticism of the Seven Witches.
"No. I mean safe for you. With so much skill, it's not dishonorable to win or lose"
and kept a follow up.
You weren't from the Knights, were you?
I don't remember the details, but I thought you were from a witch house, but my memory's wrong?
Or is he just a little arrogant?
I don't think so.
"I'm proud of you."
"... I'm worried about the hourglass. Let's end the break."
My hands were stopped all the time.
It's my time now, so my time is diminishing by the minute.
However, both the previous counterpart and the previous counterpart had too many hourglasses to point to each other quickly.
There's nothing wrong with just squandering it with some chatter.
"I was. I was more illegal."
As I pointed out, Leelika immediately pointed to the next hand.
"I'm here."
That's what I said and I bowed my head.
From the audience, the waah and yellow voice rise.
I guess the birch dorm female students.
"That was a good one."
With that said, Leelika has reached out and asked for a handshake.
I'll shake hands accordingly.
"Yeah, it was fun"
"After this, would you like some time?
Leelika said in a noisy noise with Waaaaaaaa, only I could hear her.
Time? You mean you want to see me?
"If possible, just the two of us, somewhere"
I knew it was like that.
"You're in trouble."
Honest thoughts came out of my voice.
"Don't worry, I'm not making a confession of love"
... If not, what the hell are you talking about?
On several occasions, a foolish woman who has crossed the line has asked me to sign an example porn book, but that's not the kind of requirement.
"Then... where?
"We have a meeting room in Royal Castle reserved for you. When you're done, go to conference room 152."
Conference room 152 is not really the 152nd meeting room, but the hundreds of places are pointing to the ground floor, referring to room 52 under the street number.
The pass numbers are assigned in order to all rooms, large or small, except for rooms such as cleaning utensils and warehouses.
I guess the room numbered 152 is a meeting room.
Since the meeting room is something that can be rented if you are an official of the Royal Castle, it seems that you rented it with some kind of tweak.
An invitation from a witch house gives me vigilance, but I don't think the Royal Castle security is going to get me killed because I'm in charge of the Kingsguard First Army under the royal authority.
"Fine, fine."
Leelika bowed with both hems of her skirt toward Queen Simoney after a long handshake.
I bow down, too.
Queen Simoney smiled, but seemed a little bored.
Well, I guess it would have been funnier if I had won.
Carol, who was in the VIP table as well, comes here.
"I'm sorry to hear that. But it was a good fight."
The end of the day was a fairly advanced technological reward, and the last stuffing muscle was hard to understand, but was it really understandable?
Carol's skill didn't show any particular improvement, so it was a suspicious place.
"Yeah. By the way, where's conference room 152?
"Number 152? North aisle penetration, but why?
"No, it's nothing. Forget it."
Is that the North Passage?
After greeting someone I knew who was coming to see the tournament, I walked down the north aisle as I went through the enclosure with Sulri.
Through the big hall that became the venue, turning one or two aisles, the working hours are already long past, so the popularity is completely gone.
At the penetration of the north aisle, Leelika was already waiting, standing hands-free in front of the door.
"Thank you for waiting"
"No, I'm glad you're here. Thank you."
Leelika carefully bowed her head.
Well, to be honest, I thought I'd go home about three times too.
Should I ride this invitation?
I've been holding on to the short knife pattern that I've been sneaking into my nose for a while now, but there's no sign that I'm going to do anything strange.
"Okay, here you go"
When I unlocked the meeting room, Leelika opened the door and invited me.
"No, please be first"
"... oh, right. Bye."
Leelika walked into the room, and I went in on my own.
The whole room becomes blurry and bright as Leelika transfers the fire from the lamp she had to the candlestick on the table.
I sat in a chair, facing Leelika.
"You're on guard."
"Ma, right. I'm a little nervous about going out where I was invited."
It's still good because it's a royal castle, but if it was anywhere else, for example a coffee shop I don't know about the city, I would never have responded.
Even the royal castle is called the critical line.
At least we can't keep a large number of armed rogues lurking because of different jurisdictions.
"I think I may have been rude. I wasn't used to it so badly. I have no intention of causing you harm."
A witch. What is it? Ordinary students in correctional institutions are not usually used to conspiracy surgery.
I don't know how scared I am of this situation.
"So, what can I do for you?
I asked straight in.
I don't hate to talk to this guy, but I'm not in the mood for long public conversations.
"Let me be clear. I want you to put me in your party."
"... Yes? A party?"
What will you say?
"I don't care if you work for Howe or the Howe Knights."
"I don't know..."
It's out of the question in the first place.
I don't know.
"Was it Mr. Leelika Kukrillison? The Cookrillisons..."
I mean, that's so hard to say.
What's your last name? Are you from the ancient Shan language that is characteristic of witches?
That's a written word. Come on.
"I don't know much, but you're a witch, right?"
"... yes, you're right"
"Okay, I can't. I can't trust you."
I don't think this guy is a spy, but putting in people like quasi-spies is too problematic.
"I'll cut the edge with my parents. Like Mr. Myalo."
Oh, you're mistaken about Myalo.
Myalo is one of us.
"She wants you to think of it as something else. There are many different backgrounds to trust."
"I'm quite prepared, too. If you find out you're connected to a witch house, you can kill me."
"Slash?"
This is another swordswallowing story.
"Of course, it doesn't mean resigning, it means this neck."
"Ha, I see"
Ugh... somehow it's anachronism...
In the first place, I've never killed anyone for running a company.
What kind of black company?
"That's why I learned Terrorist. I wonder if there's any use for it."
What, you speak Terrorist?
"Now, let's talk in Terrorist after this."
And I said, switching words.
"Okay, I get it."
"So why the hell did you say that?
"First of all, my house is not so wealthy, it's a zero witch house. My mother is the cleaning director of Wangdu District 6."
"Ha... Really?"
I know it must be somewhat of a nuanced and fairly inferior position, but an accurate analysis requires Myalo's cooperation.
The word witch is unique to Shan, but it was translated into Terrorist with a smart choice of words.
Have you thought about it in advance?
"The whole witch world is falling apart these days, and if you're going to get a job anyway, I'd like to do a more meaningful job than picking up garbage in the streets."
Garbage pickup is a metaphor, and I guess I'll let someone hire me to do the actual job.
Some witches do that job...... Well, there you are.
"What's a fallout?
"That's not Kirchna, and the expectations of the royal family remain directed at the generals. Witches are like troublemakers."
Actually, you must be a troublemaker.
I'd say, there may be disagreements about the households doing practical work like managing urban cleaning.
Witch work is not just about extortion and corruption; it also includes maintaining urban functions and compiling materials.
Well, that leaves room for you to take bribes, and if it was cleaning, you'd be defacing your job with your job good offices, your budget pin hane, etc.
"That's why I want to switch jobs."
"Put the witch out of business?
"Yeah. Witches are the kind of things that you work with using the authority you've deposited with the royal family. I mean, if the royal family abandons you, it's over."
Heh. You have all sorts of witches, too.
Or you're usually good at terror.
I have some difficulty with intonation, but it's probably normal to talk to KLA people.
In six months or in your studies there, this will never happen.
"I can't see ahead. It's a job."
"That's right."
Now that I think about it, it may have been my intention to express my position against me when I said something criticizing the Seven Witches earlier during the opposing station.
"I see, interesting"
"Really? So..."
"I can hardly reply to you on this occasion. Let me look into your body. Is there anything suspicious?"
I'm an enemy witch in the first place, so there's nothing suspicious about it, but it was actually a house that flourished with betrayal and snitches, what a troublesome thing to do.
... Well blah blah blah blah. What does Myalo say?
I can't judge.
"... yeah, you do. It's a natural consideration."
"On top of that, if you're coming to our house, you'll quit your job at your parents' too. You will also move from Wang Du."
"I see... why is that?
Was this unexpected?
As for this one, it's a minimum requirement.
"Because even if your determination were real, your will might bend over extortion, threats, etc., against your family. It's not a contract, it's a potential risk for you."
"Really... can you persuade me..."
Leelika just became a troubled face.
"Well, when it comes to salaries, it depends on how you work, but we pay about ten gold coins a month for high pay. I can't make a promise from the start."
"Not so..."
Leelika looked surprised.
Wouldn't that be a surprisingly high salary? It would be noble, albeit trivial.
"Well, I'll try to convince my family that there will be some savings."
"As a result of the discussion, we'll get back to you when we reach a conclusion."
"Regards"
Leelika bowed her head deeply.
"So for today, this is it"
I took a seat.
"Thank you for listening."
Leelika thanked him after he stood and turned off the candlestick candle.
The lights will only belong to the lamp, and it will be much darker.
And when I waited carefully for Leelika to get out of the room first, I left the conference room, too.
When Leelika locked up, she started walking down the hallway.
I guess I'll return the keys at the reception.
Where the hallways intersect, Leelika goes straight without worrying, but I can't do that.
It was inconvenient.
I won't confirm until I've just put my back on the wall, but I'll make sure there's no one to ambush, right and left.
Even looking to the right, there was just a wall lamp lined with constant night lights.
Look to the left.
"Wow."
There, there was a man standing flat, keeping his back on the wall.
"What are you doing here?"
It was Carol.
