The Demon's Angelic Love

Lucifer's laughter echoed throughout the grande hall in Hell. He was sitting proudly on his throne, and after working for so many hours, he finally managed to get 'that thing' back to his grip again.

The other power was strong that it managed to defeat his power before, but finally, he could get what he wanted again.

Standing several meters in front of him was Orgonel, and the long-haired demon looked puzzled by the king's attitude.

The Demon King suddenly laughed so hard after using all his powers to do something he didn't know, but he didn't dare to question his boss.

Lucifer had been shutting his eyes for so many hours, seeming to do something in his mind. And even if Orgonel had arrived several hours ago, he didn't dare to disturb the king.

That was why he could only wait until the pair of red eyes in front of him opened again and stared at him directly.

The corner of Lucifer's lip raised upon seeing his trusted subordinate inside the hall. "I know you are here, Orgonel," Lucifer greeted his subordinate.

He indeed shut his eyes when the long-haired demon just arrived, but he could sense the demon's presence with his powers. However, he just ignored the subordinate because he needed to concentrate his mind if he wanted to win against another force.

"You seem so busy, My Lord. Your face looks so pale as well. Are you alright?" The trusted subordinate questioned his boss in a worried tone.

He had known the king for so long, but it was the first time he felt the energy in the king completely depleted. If someone went to attack the king right now, then the king would be defeated for sure.

Thankfully, they were in Hell now, and their archenemy, the angels, wouldn't be able to enter the realm.

Orgonel was worried, but Lucifer's smirk grew even wider at the question. "I've used almost all of my energy, but I will recover soon. You don't need to worry about me," he replied casually. "Now tell me the purpose of your arrival. You have arrived a few hours ago, right? You must be having something important to tell me that you dared to leave Azren in the human world."

Orgonel looked awkward upon hearing the king's statement. It sounded like the king accused him of neglecting his responsibility, but he didn't protest and could only display a shameful expression.

"My apologies, My Lord," he apologized sincerely while ducking his head. "I don't mean to leave Azren alone in the human world, but I have something to report to you, My Lord."

Lucifer was a demon, but he would still feel exhausted upon draining his energy to complete his mission.

Yeah, Lucifer had his own mission only known by him. Even Orgonel didn't know the details about it.

"It's a report about Azren, right? Say it now," Lucifer ordered the long-haired demon while resting his chin on his palm.

His crimson eyes looked a little dim as he just drained his energy, but he didn't have to worry because his energy would recover gradually. He was the king of Hell, and he was not weak at all.

"Yes, My Lord. It's about Azren," Orgonel confirmed as he looked up at the king on the throne again. "Azren doesn't care about his mission at all, My Lord. He has been slacking, and he only cares about his feelings. I'm afraid he will make the same mistake again, My Lord."

Even if Orgonel rarely appeared in front of the young demon, it didn't mean he neglected his job in monitoring Azren.

Thus, he still knew everything about the demon who was disguising himself in the human world.

"Is that so?" Lucifer questioned the subordinate again, still having his chin rested on his palm. "What is that timid demon doing now?"

The king looked calm even after hearing the prologue from him, and Orgonel frowned in confusion.

Lucifer surely had known what Azren was doing in the human world even if he didn't report it to the king, but the king still questioned him about that.

Orgonel was confused, but he still answered the king's question. "I think Azren has fallen in love with the human, My Lord. You have warned him not to fall in love with a human, but he still dared to break your rules. I think you should punish him, My Lord."

Orgonel dared to suggest a punishment to his boss. Azren was judged in front of the other demons, and he was warned to not fall in love with a human.

That was the third rule given by the Demon King, and if Azren dared to break the rule, then the young demon deserved to get a punishment.

Hearing the suggestion from his subordinate, the said boss raised an eyebrow upon hearing the bold suggestion. "You once again dared to lecture me, Orgonel."

The cold reply from Lucifer stunned the long-haired demon. "Your subordinate wouldn't dare to lecture you, My Lord! My apologies! Please don't punish me!" He once again ducked his head after realizing that he had offended his king.

The word 'punishment' was really scary in the demon world. Lucifer was a heartless creature, and even if it was his trusted subordinate who offended him, he wouldn't hesitate to punish the subordinate.

Fortunately, Lucifer did not seem to be seriously offended by his subordinate's words, and he just raised his head again while looking down at his subordinate. "You don't know anything about my plan, Orgonel. Know your position, and don't you dare to lecture me!"

Orgonel ducked his head even further upon hearing the king's scolding. He indeed had offended the King of Hell, and he was still lucky that the king didn't immediately punish him.

"And you said that Azren has fallen in love with that human, right? Are you sure about that? Can you even distinguish between love and lust? And also between care and greed?"

Lucifer continued to question him, and Orgonel looked puzzled. He was not good when his boss started to play with words, and he could only listen to his boss silently.

"I know what Azren is doing in the human world, and I also know that Azren is tempted by Michy. But that's lust and not love! That's greed and not caring! Can't you see how Azren's hair gradually turned black? That's proof that Azren is closer to us now, Orgonel."

Orgonel remained quiet as he recalled the memory about Azren's hair again. When he was observing the young demon from afar, he witnessed how the blonde strands changed to black little by little.

Perhaps Orgonel didn't completely know Lucifer's plan, but he knew the king's plan related to Azren's hair.

When Azren was confused about the change in his hair color, Orgonel calmly observed it. That was part of their plan, and he could tell that the change was a good thing.

"So, after we sent Azren to the human world to punish him, he gradually starts having the demonic character in him, My Lord? That's why he got the black strands among his blonde strands, right?"

That was their initial plan. The only plan he knew from Lucifer was that they wanted to make Azren a 'complete' demon. A demon with dark hair and a dark character.

["So, you want to send Azren to the human world so that he can start learning about the seven deadly sins, My Lord? You not only want him to provoke the human to sin, but you also want him to sin?" Orgonel questioned the Lord after the Lord explained the plan to him.

"Yes," Lucifer replied firmly. "Azren had never learned anything during his life in the demon world, and I think he will learn more effectively if he's close to the human world."

Orgonel nodded his head in understanding. When he just heard Lucifer's idea to send Azren to the human world, he didn't quite understand the king's intention. But now he could see what purpose the king had in his heart.

Humans with their emotions. Those humans were prone to sin, so if Azren temporarily became one of them, the chance for the demon to sin was also bigger.

"I understand your intention, My Lord," the long-haired demon replied with a tone full of honor. "But, how can we see Azren's progress, My Lord? Azren is a demon, and he doesn't have something like the evil meter in the humans, right?"

That was a trivial thing, but Orgonel was certain that they still needed to have an indicator to know the progress of their mission.

It was not only Azren who had a mission, but it was Lucifer's mission as well.

The King of Hell just smirked calmly upon hearing his subordinate's question.. With a tone full of confidence, he answered the question, "His blonde hair will gradually turn into black when the demonic character start to take over his heart."]
