The Demon's Angelic Love

Chapter 56 - THE BLONDE DEMON

The laughter was still echoing in the hall, and Orgonel could only wait until the king's laughter died down.

He didn't think his report was funny, but Lucifer looked like someone who just heard the funniest joke in the world. He didn't even know why Lucifer seemed so amused upon hearing his report, but he could sense that the king was hiding something from him.

He was indeed the king's trusted subordinate, and he indeed knew most secrets in the demon world. Even Azren believed that he would know everything about demons, but that wasn't completely true. There were still secrets only known by the king.

"I wonder where that stupid demon got that idea, but things get more interesting now."

It felt like Lucifer was enjoying the show, but Orgonel didn't even know what kind of show the king was enjoying right now.

"But, is it true that an angel can live in a human's heart, My Lord? Is that the reason why Michy has dual personalities that cause his evil meter to keep dropping even after he sinned?"

Truth be told, it wasn't only Azren who was curious about Michy, but Orgonel was curious as well. He acted like someone who knew everything about Michy in front of Azren, but his knowledge was still below the demon king's.

"An angel living in that human's heart?" Lucifer questioned the subordinate, but his tone sounded like a mock in the subordinate's ears. "That sounds so simple, but unfortunately, Michy's case is not that simple," the king continued.

Orgonel frowned. Even with only an angel in the human's heart, he thought it wasn't simple. But, Lucifer just said that Michy's case was more than that.

"What do you mean, My Lord? Do you have something you haven't told me yet?" Orgonel mustered up his courage to seek further explanation from the king. He wasn't sure if Lucifer would be willing to tell him the truth, though.

"You remember when I said that Azren will have a big role for us to defeat the angels in Heaven, right?" The king questioned the subordinate again, and the said subordinate nodded his head as an answer. "It's not only Azren that has the big role for us, but it's also Michy. That's why I ordered Azren to go to the human's world."

Orgonel looked surprised upon hearing the king's answer. "Michy... also has a role for our future, My Lord? But how come? He's just a human, right? How come a human has a role in our future? How come a human will help us to defeat the angels in Heaven?"

Orgonel couldn't hold back his curiosity anymore as he asked a series of questions to the king. He was afraid that the king would get angry at him, and he nervously waited for the king's response.

"You became a chatterbox all of a sudden, Orgonel," Lucifer replied in a stern tone.

The tone stunned Orgonel. Perhaps he indeed asked too many questions to his king.

"I apologize, My Lord. I didn't mean to ask you so many questions."

Even the usually composed Orgonel suddenly lost his cold because of the mystery hidden by Lucifer, but now he realized that he had crossed the line.

Lucifer, still with his sharp gaze, kept eyeing Orgonel as he propped his chin on his palm. "I can't tell you the truth about Michy because fewer ears are better for now. That sneaky God and the angel trope might overhear our conversation, and they might ruin my plan afterward. I don't want to take any risks."

Orgonel furrowed his brows once again. "You don't want to be heard by God and the angel trope? Do you mean, this plan is related to God and the angel trope?"

Orgonel got even more curious, and he hoped the king would give him some enlightenment. However, when he once again saw the king's smirk, he knew that the king didn't have any intention to reveal the truth tonight.

"Listen to me, Orgonel," the king spoke again carefully. "Your task is to monitor Azren in the human world, so you better focus on your task without questioning me anymore. You just have to believe that this plan is important, so don't ruin this plan until Azren's 100 days punishment ends."

Orgonel remained quiet, but he nodded his head in the end. "I understand, My Lord. I will go back to the human world to continue doing my task. Please excuse me, My Lord."

Orgonel stepped back again before spreading his black wings once again. In a blink of an eye, Orgonel's figure vanished from the hall again.

Now, there was only Lucifer on his throne. His chin was still resting on his palm, and his mind wandered...

["After thousands of years, another angel finally fell from Heaven again."

Lucifer could hear Orgonel speak to him in a polite tone.

"You are right, Orgonel. I thought those stupid angels would remain stupid as they kept kissing God's foot, but there's still an angel who wanted to be my follower in the end."

Lucifer's ears kept listening to his subordinate's words, but his crimson eyes remained on the floating figure in the middle of the hall. The figure was floating in the air. His eyes were shut, and he was unconscious.

The blonde hair was waving, and the sight caused the king to furrow his thick brows.

"But why did his hair remain blonde, My Lord? He has fallen to Hell, and his hair was supposed to turn darker, right?"

Orgonel had pointed out the one thing that bothered him, but he knew the reason behind the bright hair that remained on the unconscious figure.

"His hair is still blonde, but he is part of us now, Orgonel. He is a demon, and I will bestow the name Azren on him. From now on, he is our special demon. He is very special, and you must keep his true identity a secret.. Only you and I know the truth about him."]
