The destruction and creation system

The observer reports back their findings and as to be expected they cause a large deal of confusion since the people in charge of this group were in disagreement on what to do. three groups of thought had shown up as a result. the first was the aggressive group who simply didn't want to risk anything and wanted to outright kill off nick. the second group was the cautious group that thought that as long as nick minded his own business they should do the same. the final group was the one that could be be considered the neutral ground between the groups as the members in this group could see the logic in both of the other groups thinking but also knew that neither side was completely correct. in the end it was decided by a suggestion put forth by the third group that satisfied both of the other sides. the idea was that the group was going to use a series of three proxies completely unrelated to the group to hire an ȧssassin to attack nick to gauge his reaction. if this works correctly the group will know definitively whether they need to be worried about nick.

The next week was uneventful for nick and those watching him as he didn't leave his inn room for any reason. the observers came to the conclusion that he was likely cultivating since after he set up the isolation array they could no longer openly observe him. unknown to anyone nick was actually learning something extremely worrying should it be discovered. nick had learned shortly after he gained his new physique that he had an affinity with the three highest laws , the creation law , the destruction law and the law of chaos. after that he had spent a small amount of time trying to comprehend these laws starting with the most useful to him at the moment the destruction law. nick had learned quickly however that the highest laws were not so simply learned even by someone with an affinity with them as he only managed to catch a spark of the law he sought during this week. having merely a spark doesn't sound that impressive but to put it into perspective the destruction seeds that he has used in the past that terrified even ascendant lords like subhuti was merely the same as a spark of the total law.

Now that nick had grasped a spark of the law he could start the obviously long and difficult path of growing that spark into a the roaring sun that is the full law.. nick left the inn after grasping the spark and made his way out of the city since he wasn't welcome there completely unaware of his hunter in the shadows.
