The Dragon Evolve God

29 Chapter 40: Solo Deathmatch

For the qualifier match, they will be combining ten fighting courts into one big arena since they are many people joining, so they need a bigger space.

The rules for the Solo Deathmatch is simple:

1. Killing is not allowed.

2. Whoever leaves or get knock out from the battle stage will lose.

3. You may hurt someone, but you cannot cripple them. Otherwise, you will be disqualified.

Although it is called a Solo Deathmatch, but they change/modified the rule a little for this tournament.

These are the three rules that Prime heard from the tournament announcer when he first arrived on the battle stage.

'Hmm, I guess I have to be careful not to overuse my power. Otherwise, I might accidentally kill someone and unable to complete my quest,' Prime thought to himself as he stroke his chin.

However, just as they were about to begin the Solo Deathmatch, suddenly, up high in the blue sky, seven mysterious men appeared. These seven strange men were all wearing black cloaks.

'Huh? What's going now?' Prime wondered.

"That's..... That's the Guild Envoys!" said someone in the crowd.

"Woah! Guild Envoys are here, this is going to be fun," said someone excitingly.

Guild Envoys/Scouts are people who find young talents or someone who has the potential to become powerful in the future. A guild envoy does not judge people base on whether they win or get top 5 in the tournament, but rather, they focus on pure talent itself.

This means that even someone like Yela, who is weaker than most people may still have the chance to join one of the guilds in Azurion city.

Since after all, some people may be talented but born from a lower social background, therefore they were unable to progress due to the lack of resources during their growing up years.

Where else, people from a higher social status, even though they might not be talented, but they have the resources and support from their clans to become stronger.

Which why even low-status people are willing to join the tournament because they know they still have hope, as long as they can display their talent.

'So this world has Guild Agency too, huh? Interesting,' Prime was quite amazed.

Without delay, the seven guild envoys were given their VIP spots to sit. The VIP seats are mostly for Clan leaders and young masters to sit, as well as some other high ranking officials. However, in this case, the seven guild envoys are as important as them, therefore they were given VIP seats too.

When the seven guild envoys appeared at the VIP seat area, all the five clan leaders immediately got up from their seats and began greeting, and shaking hands with the seven guild envoys respectfully.

Among the seven guild envoys, 3 of them were old men with long beards, while the other 4 were middle-aged looking men.

"Alright, it's time finally," Prime smiled.

Without delay, he could see many unknown people began charging at him, and most of them are trying to push him off the battle stage. However, instead of fighting back, he dodges most of their attack and gently knocks them off the stage while laughing at them.

"This is pretty fun," Prime laughed.

Although Prime could easily push everyone off the stage, but he didn't do that as he doesn't want to stand out too much. So instead, he smacks them off the stage one by one slowly to make it less obvious.

Despite being a Solo Deathmatch, they are still many who cheated and team up together to attack other people. Of course, the tournament referees know that, but they didn't care since it's just a qualifier match.

While Prime was slapping other people off the stage, suddenly, behind him, an unknown person appeared and tried to push him. However, just before he could touch Prime's body, Prime suddenly vanished from his position.

"What?! Where did that cat mask guy go?" the unknown person frowned.

"I'm right behind you, hehe," Prime smirked.

However, before he could even react, Prime already smacked him on the butt, and he then flew out of the battle ring.

Then suddenly, another person attacks Prime out of nowhere again, but Prime just steps on that person's foot, and that person slips and falls off the stage.

"Oops! Nice try I guess hehe," laughed Prime as he picks his nose.

"You!!" said the guy angrily, but unfortunately, he couldn't head back to the battle stage anymore. So instead, he just walked away grumpily.

At this point, Prime was just having fun and laughing at everyone each time he smacks them off the stage. Eventually, 30 minutes later, the qualifier match finally over.

"For the last 64 of you standing, congratulation! The next round will start in one hour, so you may go back and rest up for now," said the tournament announcer.

"Well, that was pretty easy," said Prime as he wasn't satisfied and still want to have fun.

With that said, he and the other 63 adventurers then head back to the participant hall room.

"Woah! Onii-chan is amazing!" said Yela cheeringly.

"Hahaha! He sure is," laughed Guran as he finds Prime's action to be pretty funny, especially when Prime slapped someone off the stage or kick them.

Although Prime join as HuskyBeast, but he's still representing the Blue Clan, therefore everyone in the Blue Clan was happy for him.

One hour later.....

Round of 64 begin, first round:

Rokman vs. Goalas, Rokman Wins!

HuskyBeast vs. Saroga, HuskyBeast Wins!

Koalay vs. Raku, Raku Wins!

Lalaho vs. Faela, Lalaho Wins!

...

...

Finally, it's quarter-final...

Of course, Prime didn't defeat his opponent in one move, otherwise that would be too obvious. So instead, he pretends to fight on par with them until they are exhausted, then only he finishes them off.

This is a weird battle for Prime because everyone here is trying their best to win, but for him, he's trying his best to act weak as he doesn't to stand out.

Without delay, they immediately draw out the match for the quarter-final, and they are by the list:

Match One: Raku vs. Rokman

Match Two: HuskyBeast vs. Lalaho

Match Three: Halon vs. Sawer

Match Four: Fasoa vs. Soyue

Without delay, Match one: Raku vs. Rokman, Rokman Wins by a margin.

Match Two: HuskyBeast vs. Lalaho

Finally, it's Prime turn, and right away, he and Lalaho jump onto the battle stage and get ready. At this moment, only the Blue Clan people are aware of his identity, but for the crowd, they still don't know yet.

"Lalaho? Hahaha! What a funny name," Prime laughed.

"You!! How dare you laugh at my name!?"

Lalaho is a human warrior, and as for his Rank, he's a low-level D-Class.

"Heh? So you are warrior class, huh? Interesting," Prime smiled.

"So what! I bet I can defeat you in just one move," said Lalaho confidently.

Lalaho was pretty confident that he could defeat Prime because Prime was not wearing any armor, except for the regular clothes of this world. Also, Prime doesn't have a weapon either.

"Hoh? Is this kid a Monk Class?" said one of the guild envoys surprisingly when he saw Prime was going to fight with his fist.

"Oh, really? Very well, I would like to see you try it," said Prime with a smile.

"Hahaha! You sure you are going to fight without your gauntlet?" laughed Lalaho again.

"Gauntlet? Well, I don't need them because my bare fist alone is more than enough to beat you,"

"Alright! Battle start!" yelled the tournament referee.

Without delay, Lalaho immediately charges at Prime with his sword aiming toward Prime's throat. Of course, Prime saw it coming, but instead of countering the attack, he just dodges everything.

Slash! Slash! Slash! Slash! Slash!

No matter how many times Lalaho swing his giant sword, all he heard was his sword passing through the air.

"Your sword attack certainly is powerful, but unfortunately, you're too slow," said Prime.

"Thanks for the compliment, but I'm not done yet,"

With that said, Lalaho then increased his speed and power from 50% to his maximum.

"Look like Lalaho is finally going all out. Hehe, your dead now Huskybeast," said one of Lalaho's friends in the crowd while cheering for him.

However, the result was still the same, and Lalaho still can't land a single sword attack on Prime's body as Prime was just too fast for him to keep up.

"Not bad, but it looks like I've got to end this here," said Prime as he was starting to get bored, and looking forward to the main competition.

With that said, Prime then disappeared from his current location and appeared in front of Lalaho and punch Lalaho directly on the chest.

Immediately, Lalaho was blown backward at least 10 meters before falling onto the ground and fainted. Luckily, Prime didn't use his full power, otherwise Lalaho would've been dead by now.

"Hoh? This Monk guy seems pretty interesting," said one of the guild envoys.

The entire crowd was quite shocked and surprised, but only for a short while before they calm down and focus on the next match.

Although Prime was amazing, but this is just a qualifier match. So even though he managed to defeat his opponent in one punch, but it's not a big deal since this is not the main competition.

"Next Match! Halon vs. Sawer!" yelled the tournament referee.

Halon vs. Sawer, Halon Wins by a margin as well.

Next, Fasoa vs. Soyue, both are girls and Soyue the ice magician won.

Then Final, Soyue vs. HuskyBeast, HuskyBeast wins!

However, it doesn't matter who wins at this point because as long as you are in the top 8, then you are already qualified to be in the main competition.
