When Augustus got home, he happened to bump into Jeanne, who was just about to go out with a cold expression.

"Jeanne, where are you going?"

"Where is she going? It's all your fault!"

Liane was furious at the sight of Augustus. "You beat Dexter Fox up and now Jeanne has to go get yelled at by the Old Madam!

"Wasn't it enough that you lost Jeanne her position as Director? Are you trying to drive her out of Harrington Corp?! Augustus, I think you're doing this on purpose!"

"Mom, don't say that. If it weren't because of Augustus last night…"

"Why are you still protecting him? If he was capable of anything, our family would've soared to great heights long ago! We wouldn't need to suffer from indignation from the Harrington family!"

Jeanne could not rebut that.

Augustus frowned. "It was clearly Dexter's fault. Why should Grandmother punish Jeanne? Jeanne, I'll go with you and explain it to her."

Jeanne smiled bitterly. "The last person Grandma wants to see is you. You'd just make it worse if you go. Don't worry, I'll manage."

Then, she went downstairs.

"Jeanne is really unlucky to have married a jinx like you!" Liane cursed at him.

Augustus could not be bothered with her and called Clara directly. "Ms. Jones, there's a favor I would like to ask…"

After hanging up the phone, Augustus drove his Mercedes directly to Harrington's residence.

When Jeanne arrived at the mansion, she saw that the rest of the Harrington family had been waiting for a long time.

As soon as she entered the door, Old Madam Harrington screamed in fury. "Jeanne Harrington, how dare you!"

Old Madam Harrington sat in the middle and was flanked by Carter and Iris, looking like judges before a defendant.

"Grandma, I can explain about Yorkfire Corporation…"

Iris snorted coldly. "What's there to explain? I told you to go there and negotiate the contract, but you actually colluded with that garbage husband of yours to set a trap for President Fox!"

"What do you mean?"

Carter sneered. "Jeanne, stop pretending. President Fox called us this morning and told us everything. Yesterday, you deliberately told Joey and Taylor to leave after dinner, then you took the opportunity to seduce President Fox and finally let Augustus beat him up. What a great move!"

"That's nonsense! What would I gain from doing that?!"

"Nothing. You just deliberately ruined the contract with Yorkfire Corporation to get back at Grandma and the Harrington family because you resented us after you were removed from your position as Director!"

Carter spoke with so much conviction that Jeanne was furious. "Don't slander me! It was clearly Dexter Fox who had designs on me. Augustus raised his hands against Dexter in order to save me! Revenge has nothing to do with this!"

Iris clapped her hands, and two figures walked over. It was Joey and Taylor, who attended the dinner with Jeanne yesterday.

"Go on, tell us what happened yesterday."

"Enough! Yorkfire Corporation is a big customer that we can't afford to lose! Go to President Fox and apologize immediately. No matter what, you have to get his forgiveness and seal the contract. Otherwise, your family will be expelled from the Harrington family!"

Jeanne felt like dying ashes. Asking her to go to Dexter and apologize was no different than walking into a lion's den!

Carter and Iris exchanged a triumphant glance.

Iris smiled teasingly. "Jeanne, hurry up and do as Grandma says!"

"President Fox is a simple man. As long as you're sincere enough, he'll definitely forgive you!"

By sincere, they naturally meant that Jeanne should offer herself up!

Jeanne never thought that her relatives would be so vicious!

However, Iris's words were supported by the rest of the Harrington family.

Augustus walked in furiously as he spoke.

Augustus snorted coldly. "He's not worthy of my apology! If someone has to apologize, he should be the one running to me to apologize instead!"

Carter had a smug look on his face. He could not wait to see Jeanne's family leave the Harrington family.

However, right after he spoke.

"President Fox from Yorkfire Corporation is here!"

Then, Dexter, who was covered in bandages and had a cast on his arm, ran over while being supported by several bodyguards.

"Brother Augustus, I'm here to admit my mistakes to you. Please forgive me!"

Dexter knelt down in front of Augustus with a thud before anyone could react.
