The Dream Saga

The commander turned as he heard the news, but as I saw his face, my mind stopped working. He was someone I knew and someone I dearly cherished.

"Thank you, sold- huh!! you are…" 

"Huh? wait, no! no! this isn't true! It can't be!!" I was shocked, and I didn't know if was glad or angry. All my emotions were melded together. I couldn't process anything. Tears came out of my eyes and everything felt like a dream.

"You're Kai? No, he can't be here, but you resemble him!" the commander recognized me but he was still unsure because it was something impossible from his perspective.

"DAD! IT'S ME KAI!!!" I couldn't hold myself together and ended up letting all my emotions out that I had for years.

"What's happening? Someone please explain it to me too!" Lee, who was with me, was not understanding a single thing and stood there with a puzzled look on his face.

"Kai? You're Kai? No, it's impossible. Don't play with my feelings please" the commander who Kai called dad got emotional as well. He had tears in his eyes. He was still trying to accept his fate.

Before anything could happen, Kai rushed and hugged his dad, who he saw after over three years.

"Dad, I missed you! Why did you leave me? I was so lonely! I wanted to kill myself. Why did you leave me? I thought I will never see you again!" I was crying ugly. My nose was running tears were falling from my eyes continuously. My throat was heavy, and I was so sad yet happy at the same moment.

"Kai! It's you! I recognize this body! You're my dear Kai! How did you come here?"

Kai's dad finally recognized him, but by his expressions, it looked like he was making sure that this was really Kai because an illusion like this was so heartbreaking and when he finally realized, tears blurred his eyes. And he hugged Kai back tightly.

"You are alright? You're not hurt somewhere?"

"No, I am fine!"

"Kai, I missed you. I am so happy that I got to meet you again. My dear and proud son, I missed you so much!" his voice cracked and a man of such wise age and rank began to cry as a small child by looking at both of them. It appeared as they both found an old toy that got lost and after a long time you've found it.

"Ah, I see this is a family reunion that I should not interrupt but there's something I need to tell something which is important!" Lee stood there awkwardly and after a few minutes of observing, he found something that was not good.

"I am sorry, Lee. I forgot about our mission!" after a few minutes of interaction and reunion with his father, Kai wiped his tears and tried to hold his emotions in.

"What is it? What's odd?" Kai asked.

"Kai, look at the battlefield. The Sloth king's reinforcements are here, and I don't think humanity has any chance to win!" Lee explained.

"I can see that. I guess I need to step into battlefield!" Kai's dad, who was the commander of the last human army, was determined and knew to win the war he had to sacrifice everything.

"No! dad you can't go to the battlefield. There's no guarantee that you will survive!" Kai interrupted.

"I am sorry son, but I need to I spent my last few years fighting and well fare of this country when I lost you and got here in this new world these people welcomed me as their own, and I had to repay their debt with all my might, even if I have to sacrifice my life I need to fight for this country and look at those kids they're just sixteen-year-old kids stepped into battlefield after throwing all their dreams and ambitions aside I can't abandon me. I will fight!" 

Whatever Kai's dad said made sense and was relevant.

"I think instead of barging into the battlefield we should go with a plan, sir I am Lee Ouroboros, the commander general and Kai Reid's best man. I am a devil and I possess demonic powers, so do my master, and if we two worked together with a little back up I guess we will be able to turn the tables."

"I don't understand many things!" Kai's dad was confused, as it was assumed by Kai, so he came forward to elaborate briefly so he can understand the situation.

"Dad, just as you, I was teleported into another world too and fortunately I got the devil and serpent powers so you should not worry about me, me and Lee can handle half of Sloth king's army."

"If you say so, I believe you,"

"I have a perfect plan. Me and you will go and slaughter the enemy while your man backs up us, and in the meantime, we will attract their leader's attention and by taking this advantage, you will kill their leader. How you like that?" Lee explained.

"I will keep a look for the door as well, so if it appears we leave quickly." Kai spoke while scratching his head.

"So, let's go before any of our army dies."

Soon after our conversation, we were out on the battlefield.

"All of my men! I know you're fighting your best, but now I only want one thing from you. Just support these men, give them back up fire and the victory will be ours! Long live the humanity! Over." Kai's dad ordered all of his troop through the radio and all the soldiers looked at us so they can recognize me. Their eyes had a look of hope. 

"PARTNER LET'S DO THIS!!! I WANT TO LOOK COOL IN MY DAD EYES!! I WILL KILL ALL OF THEM!!" I smirked and removed the coat I was wearing to free my hands; I popper my neck and fingers and looked at Lee with a smile and went straight to raise hell on the battlefield.

"LET'S GO!"

I rushed to the front of the battle. All the allied soldiers had already backed off. Now it was me and Lee against an entire army.

"I am going to show you something that you've never seen! SUMMON!" I chanted a spell and suddenly all the area heard hissing noises.

"HISS!"

In less than a minute, the entire area was full of the snakes and I was ready to destroy them and on the other hand I saw Lee, who was unleashing all his dark aura into his sword.

"POWER SHOT"

"Black razer!"

Me and Lee somehow released our shot together, the power shot and Lee's attack was powerful enough to slay hundreds of aliens together.

"WHACK!"

"BAM!"

"BADOOM!"

Me and Lee begin to beat the shit out of the alien army and it was quite easy for us to beat them. 

"STRANGLE!"

One spell after another and one power again, another and the alien were getting outnumbered by me and Lee.

"Kai, do you see their leader anywhere!" asked Lee!

"No, not yet! Huh? what's that seems like something familiar! Wait, it's the portal!" when I was searching for the sloth king, I accidentally found the portal that we were seeking for a long.

"Lee! you were right. Look, that's the portal! We need to hurry? Wait, what's that? Looks like some kind of animal with a crown on his head!"

"Kai! It's the sloth king. Let's kill him!"

We finally had the chance to hit two birds with one arrow. The thought of victory excited me so much that I rushed to attack him alone!"

"YAYY! YOU'RE MINE!!!"

"WHACK!"

Something struck me that made me fly meters away I couldn't understand what it was and when I looked up, I saw three big brutes covered in metal armors from tip to toe they seemed like body guards of the sloth and their size was enormous and an armor made it hard for me to find an opening,"

"I WILL KILL YOU!" the hit hurt my ego, and that fueled rage in me, but when I was about to stand up Lee came running to me and patted on my shoulder.

"Look below dumbass, your both legs are crushed to powder. Let me handle this,"

"ETERNAL BLADE!"

"WHOOSH!" 

As Lee used his skill to kill all the bodyguards, around seventy-five percent of his mana depleted but he was still standing and the only thing that stood between the portal was him and the sloth king.

"Let's see how you will handle this!" Lee swinged his sword and went to slash the leader but suddenly his body stopped working. I couldn't understand what happened until I saw a device in his hand that sucked life force from him.

"LEEE!!!!!! NOOO!!!!"

When I thought he'd kill Lee, someone barged it! it was my dad with a shotgun! The shot stunned for a moment, but it was not enough to kill him!

"Lee, son. Are you alright?" 

"Yes, Mr. Reid, I am fine!"

"Take Kai and run. I don't know when the portal will open again. Take him and the go, almost all of my soldiers are dead, and there's only one chance of victory. and it's either all three of us or just me you decide!" everything happened so quick, I saw Lee running to me. He quickly hanged me on his back and ran closer to the portal. He stopped just a few inches from the portal and asked.

"How will you kill him?"

"I will. You should go!" he pulled a grenade pin and pushed Lee into the portal and ran toward the sloth.

"Nooooooo!!!" Kai yelled

"BOOM!"
