The Duke's Adopted Daughter

It was dinner time at the Duke's Household.

The main wife and the second wife, the two siblings were also gathered

The Duke waited until the dinner was served before he started to speak.

"I have an announcement to make."

Everyone look at him.

"As you all know,I just came out from Mystical Forest to look for the Arcan Plant but unfortunately I wasn't able to find it. Though I'm pretty sure that all of you already knows that I had brought me with me a girl and I'm planning to have her to become my official adopted daughter."

Madam Garcy who was quietly listening smiled then look at Anishina signalling her to speak.

"Father, we all know that you have a good heart and like helping out everyone who needs a help but isn't it too much to give her so much. I heard that you even allowed her to stay at the Moon Palace. I hope that you can reconsider."

"My Lord" Madam Garcy followed. "You only meet her for a short period of time I suggest that you have to do a background check on her."

The first wife just listened silently and waited for the Duke to speak.

"I do understand all your concern but I'm already decided."

Kale suddenly frown. But keep his silence. Anishina on the other hand voiced out her complain.

"Father let's just say that she became your adopted daughter and become part of Chrysller but isn't she a bit unfilial? It's our dinner time and were supposed to meet her but she's not even around."

The Duke raise his brows. He knows that this is coming. He drank his wine before he spoke again.

"You don't have to meet her. And with regards to her background, I already had it check and she is just an ordinary lady." He lied through his mouth with a straight face.

"Also, I'm not asking for your permission, I'm just letting you know."

The dinner fall into silence after hearing it.

Madam Garcy was silently gritting her teeth anda sinister look flash through her eyes.

She was tired of getting the Duke's attention from his first wife and illed daughter alone.

Now there was an additional one with an unclear background.

She was really infuriated.

Unknown to them, there was a smal bird outside the window who was quietly listening to their conversion. Awhile later it silently flew away.
