The Emperor’s Angel of Death
#2295 - Use force to defeat cleverness
Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill!
The originally silent tomb became very lively, with demons from the Slaanesh realm sweeping in like a tsunami. They stirred up a frenzy of claws and flesh, the intense screams and maniacal laughter seeming to drown out the small mortal. Among them were not only Slaanesh Daemonettes and Slaanesh Beasts, but also towering Greater Daemons, their bestial heads, incongruous with their androgynous forms, issuing piercing roars –
Treachery!
As the first wave of demons reached the high platform, Sorsaryan, sword in hand and eyes ablaze, stood like a giant before the Phoenix King's throne, precisely swinging his sword up and down to sever their limbs, cleave their skulls, and slice away their foul viscera.
Then the Keeper of Secrets charged like a bull, head lowered, arms braced, a weapon gleaming with purple light aimed at Sorsaryan.
Sorsaryan didn't dodge; instead, he jumped up to meet the attack, like a tiger pouncing on its prey, concentrating all his strength into the arm wielding the longsword. In an instant, he shattered the Greater Daemon's weapon, and the massive blade didn't stop there. It shrieked as it cut an arc through the air, cleaving into the Slaanesh Greater Daemon's head in the blink of an eye, shattering ornate jewels and skull alike, the lifeless body collapsing onto the floor.
Upon landing, Sorsaryan didn't stop. A dagger flashed past his chest, and a pair of claws swiped at his eyes. He responded calmly, first using his left arm to push away the attacker wielding the dagger, then, like a boxer, slamming the hilt of his sword into the Slaanesh demon's forehead, foul pus splattering everywhere. Next, he cleaved off the shoulder of a Daemonette attempting to attack his eyes, followed by a terrifying backhand strike that shattered the skull of another Slaanesh Beast. Several crab claws viciously stabbed at him, but death always narrowly missed him. The strong warrior moved with dizzying speed, like a tiger leaping among a group of baboons, sidestepping and spinning to deny his enemies any opportunity, while swinging the longsword, burning with white flames, in a circle of death around himself.
Sorsaryan has never been a defensive fighter. Even when facing overwhelming odds, he always takes the initiative. Anyone else would likely have died long ago, but a strange hatred burned within his heart, and the songs of ancient heroes echoed in his ears.
At first, the Slaanesh demons fiercely surrounded him, chaotically and blindly stabbing in a disorganized mass.
But before long, they suddenly retreated—
"Come!"
Sorsaryan raised his sword overhead, facing the roaring, massive serpentine body head-on.
Four weapons fell like a rainstorm, Sorsaryan meeting their edge head-on, the clash of swords erupting in bursts of impact and sparks.
Fulgrim was indeed worthy of his reputation as a primarch renowned for his swordsmanship. For the first time, Sorsaryan felt immense combat pressure. Not only was every move of his opponent incomparably fierce, but his agility defied common sense.
One strike, two strikes. With just one moment of carelessness, Sorsaryan suffered two shallow cuts. Fulgrim deliberately didn't use his full strength, as if wanting to humiliate Sorsaryan.
While wielding his arms like lightning, he taunted:
"I'm not some self-pitying fool like Mortarion! Do you think I really can't kill you? I absolutely can! Easily!"
In response, Sorsaryan remained calm, gripping the sword hilt with both hands. Suddenly, he pressed down hard with his feet, leaping into the air, the sword light instantly flaring as he struck down fiercely at his opponent.
"Clown, what are you stirring up!"
Fulgrim parried and twisted, but unexpectedly, Sorsaryan's strength suddenly surged to an exaggerated degree, instantly shattering the two weapons he used to block. All skill became useless.
In a flash, Fulgrim sprouted wings from his back, transforming into a phantom and shooting into the sky.
However, Sorsaryan didn't land either. The remaining Eldar Phoenix Kings all burst into flames, transforming into balls of fire that converged on him, transforming him into a phoenix burning with white-gold flames in a piercing screech!
The scorching light instantly dispelled the foul gloom. The demons of Slaanesh screamed in agony upon seeing the light and began to turn and flee, but the surging flames washed over their desecrated flesh, instantly turning the struggling demons into ash and ice crystals.
At the same time, a sword-like form was entwined within the crackling flames, the flames streaking past and circling Fulgrim at incredible speed.
"No! No! I will never—"
Fulgrim's human torso became more like a viper. It opened its mouth and spat out a cloud of purple mist, but it was instantly torn apart by the howling blade, leaving behind a burning sword scar that directly struck the fallen primarch's body.
"No! I won't lose to something like you—"
He roared in agony, screaming miserably, black fluid constantly pouring from the horrific wound, then quickly falling into the shadows.
Sorsaryan wanted to pursue, but a grotesque figure suddenly appeared behind him, swinging a massive battle-axe at Sorsaryan's unprotected head with extreme speed, delivering a fatal blow.
However, it underestimated Sorsaryan's reaction. The almost certain hit missed because Sorsaryan suddenly ducked his head with force, only shearing off a few strands of black hair.
Almost at the same time, Sorsaryan shifted his weight to his heels, then swung the longsword from the side, "crack" splitting the ornate jewels and scales. An ugly monster screamed and collapsed, its entire left half, including its armor, cleaved open.
Sorsaryan finally saw its appearance clearly. Its upper body was bloated and unbearable, the stout torso covered in folds of flesh. Four arms stretched out from the fat, gripping strange weapons. The ugly torso had an even uglier little head, almost sunken into its body, long white hair hanging from its scalp, covering a pair of green eyes, while its lower body was serpentine, covered in brilliant scales.
"You dog!"
Just as Sorsaryan was about to end the monster, Fulgrim, who had been wounded and fled, suddenly leaped forward from the shadows like a wolf, screaming and trying to tear Sorsaryan to pieces with his sword. Suddenly, he stopped in mid-air with incredible speed, falling to the ground, dodging a fatal blow that was coming at him wrapped in the sound of wind.
As Sorsaryan retracted his missed sword and swung it out again, Fulgrim frantically scrambled to his feet and fled, this time the sword slammed into the floor inches from his serpentine tail.
"Ekhali! Kill him!"
Fulgrim misjudged the situation and orderedEkhali, one of his mistresses and Slaanesh's favorite concubines, to rush up again, attempting a successful sneak attack before Sorsaryan could react, but he miscalculated.
The burning longsword instantly rose and slashed down, a bloody, twisted head flying backward, smashing into Fulgrim's serpentine tail.
"No!!!!!!"
Almost at the same time that Fulgrim rushed forward madly, a strange airflow suddenly struck, and Sorsaryan once again transformed into a phoenix, crashing heavily into his body.
The fallen primarch fell headlong to the ground, accompanied by a burst of pain, the burning longsword piercing into his flesh.
Fulgrim thrashed desperately, pinned to the ground, and when he looked up, he saw a cold face.
