The Emperor’s Angel of Death
#3332 - Ship Hub Death Battle
Cutting through all obstacles, the Star Phantoms quickly approached the Overlord's Lychguard. These towering warriors stood firm, the front three rows holding shields and blades, while the rear wielded heavy warscythes. Facing the incoming Space Marines, they remained unyielding, relying on the chained force fields of their shields to protect them from the deadly fire of artillery, or the explosions of bolters and even plasma weapons.
Stepping into the range of the enemy's shield wall, the Terminators also revealed their weapons: massive two-handed thunder hammers.
Arcs of electricity crackled as the Iron Riders Terminator raised their warhammers high.
The instant the disruption field collided fiercely with the refraction field, it was like the roar of a thousand thunderclaps, enough to shatter the eardrums of ordinary mortals.
In the stifling echoes and blinding light, dozens of shields flew backward, while the metal bodies holding them crashed into their comrades behind them.
The moment the Terminators breached the shield wall, Saul found his prey.
Like an arrow released from a bow, he stepped out of the ranks, tilting his blade, the energy of the disruption field enveloping the entire blade in a burst of light.
The warscythe-wielding Lychguard brandished its weapon in response, its instinct to defend its master becoming its sole purpose. Green arcs of electricity danced on the scythe, energy crackling and sweeping towards Saul like light and lightning as he closed in.
In an instant, the two weapons collided in a blaze of incandescent light, emitting a resonant roar.
After blocking the opponent's warscythe, Saul's left hand flashed out, already holding another sword, stabbing towards the opponent's lower jaw like a snake spitting its tongue. As an Overlord's Lychguard, its reaction was incredibly swift, immediately raising its hand to block the incoming blade with the middle of the warscythe, creating a string of sparks, then forcefully pushing the opponent away with its immense strength.
However, Saul only took half a step back before moving forward again. He intended to fight at close quarters, reducing the advantage of the warscythe's length, each move swift and precise.
The two swords crisscrossed, creating gusts of wind, carving four slashes on the Lychguard's sturdy frame, forcing it back several steps.
The Lychguard quickly stabilized itself, the scythe tip flashing as it pierced towards Saul.
The two figures intertwined, the sounds of impact echoing continuously.
Just then, another figure flashed beside Saul, the halberd tip slicing through the air, creating a series of ear-piercing sounds.
Saul dodged to the side, avoiding the fatal blow, his blade retaliating, instantly severing the head of the ambushing Lychguard from its neck.
Around the two combatants, the battle grew increasingly fierce. The Terminators and Lychguard collided with the most savage and pure strength, each swing of their weapons carrying their mutual hatred and rage, displaying astonishing speed and terrifying momentum.
Lychguard were constantly having their heads and bodies smashed, and Space Marines were constantly being pierced by warscythes or having their heads cut off.
Not only were the Space Marines fighting a bloody battle, but the Krieg Death Korps and the Orpheus Conscripts, who entered from the side doors, also engaged the enemy in extremely fierce combat. Marshal Vena personally stood at the front line, inspiring his soldiers, the old marshal's roar even drowning out the screeching of the lasguns' volleys around him.
To reach this position, they had paid a heavy price in casualties and sacrifices, and few support vehicles remained. A dozen Leman Russ and Demolisher tanks were the Krieg regiment's last support.
Despite the severe lack of heavy weapons, the Krieg infantry displayed perfect teamwork, concentrating their fire on the same enemy until it fell—and the large number of plasma and melta weapons that Sorsky Ash had additionally equipped them with began to play their part, each blast of energy consuming the enemy forces facing them.
But the real trouble wasn't these, but the obelisks that had originally stood on the ground but were now floating. These pyramid-shaped constructs fulfilled the role of Necron heavy tanks, hovering a few meters above the ground, green lightning flashing within their enclosed turrets.
There were a dozen such entities!
As the crystals on their tops began to flicker, amber energy flashed around the human tanks, and then particle whips directly peeled the armor from the frames.
The tanks immediately retaliated, concentrating their fire on one obelisk, a series of shells directly hitting it, covering the thing with cracks and causing it to fall to the ground, smoke rising from under its dark green shell, but more obelisks like it were already advancing.
"Charge!"
Vena issued the order, because long-range engagements were unfavorable to humans. The best way to destroy those cumbersome obelisks was to detonate melta bombs at close range.
Suddenly, something landed with a thud on the ground in front of Vena. He looked down and saw a Necron skull, realizing it was not dead, but green light was glowing in the skull's eye sockets. Vena raised his pistol and pulled the trigger.
Then he stepped forward, following his soldiers.
The Krieg Death Korps' charge was unstoppable, quickly approaching the Necron infantry guarding the obelisks. Of course, this charge would accelerate the soldiers' deaths, but every fallen Krieg soldier would be replaced by another, and the Necrons, after being hit by plasma and melta weapons, fell even faster.
They were like a force of nature, wave after wave surging towards their enemies, like a tide rushing against a cliff, each person's life only existing to allow those warriors strapped with melta bombs to reach the enemy's obelisk.
Soon, they approached an obelisk, the 12 gauss cannons on the obelisk firing in unison, green energy flashing around, turning living people into ashes.

But this could not stop the Krieg soldiers climbing onto the obelisk with grappling hooks. Although the gates on the obelisk were spewing out Necron soldiers, they could not stop the warriors who feared no death—
Boom——————
The white glare of several melta explosions illuminated the battlefield, and the wreckage of the obelisk crashed to the ground, crushing a group of Immortals and the Krieg soldiers engaged in melee combat with them.
But before Vena could celebrate this victory, he saw something.
A strange enemy appeared on the wreckage, a head taller than the other Necron infantry, wearing a metal cloak and wielding a staff that seemed to be surrounded by witchcraft.
Then, this Cryptek raised his skeletal hand to the sky. Vena saw that he was holding a huge black sphere in the palm of his left hand, something green flickering deep within the sphere. He could taste metal, feel the hairs on his neck stand on end, his flesh tingled, and the air was filled with an intense aura, as if a great storm was about to arrive.
Then, the slain Immortals stood up—dozens, hundreds, even those who had died and been shattered to pieces just minutes ago, and those who had been felled by melta guns, all stood up.
