The Fallen Consort

Maybe because of learning the truth about herself, Yi Ling went to a different change in attitude.

She became stoic and cold, there was also a domineering and royal aura around her. Although she was still on nascent stage, she had pushed herself into drinking her own medical concoctions. Although the result wasn't as amazing without the spiritual water or the Eternal Oak Leaves, it was still beneficial to her. Her deep knowledge had made her able to exploit all kinds of herbs to have a double results. She just had to sacrifice a lot of herbs in the process.

Aside from eating and sleeping, Yi Ling had stayed inside the inn for close door Cultivation. She had only ask her son Minzhe for some errands like buying stuffs, while Qianru guards her door and serve her as well.

Minzhe was confident on her mother not leaving him anymore. He and Qianru was able to see her changes. Although Yi Ling still treats them the same, it cannot be said about the other people around her. They find it hard to even look at Yi Ling in the eyes, like the innkeeper when they first gotten to this place.

It had already been a month since they stayed here. Minzhe had never dared complain about his mother's lack of appearance. He knew that it was an important phase for her right now.

He was told by his mother that she was trying to breakthrough to Emergent Stage, before looking for his Grandmother. This made him feel excited!

Qianru on the other side was obedient and silent. Patiently serving her Master, preparing her meals and bath.

Inside, Yi Ling was sitting cross legged in the bed. She was about to breakthrough to the 7th Rank of the Nascent Stage.

To be honest , she hardly drank her concoctions. There wasn't much of a need, since she was able to Cultivate inside the Blue Rose Palace thicker spiritual energy. It was more efficient that way , rather than depending on medicine. This time, she was pushed to having no choice.

Ever since she left the Sect, her heart became fired up. Her thirst of power was evident. She didn't want to rely on Muxin anymore or hide behind his back. She was a human, he was a Deity. His teaching was good but it was meant for a Deity. It was more advanced than her current stage.

Thinking about this, Yi Ling wanted to try out the Sects around the high-rank kingdom. She wanted to seek out knowledge from the human's perspective. It would be much more convenient this way, she thought.

The next morning, a loud explosion caused the inn to shake. The residents of the Inn was shocked and had gotten curious. There was aura of someone having a breakthrough, coming from the second floor of the inn.

Qianru and Minzhe looked at each other, while waiting for that someone to come out. It didn't take look and Yi Ling came out.

Seeing that it was a Handsome Young Master who had a breakthrough, made some of them admired him. He was around 16 years old, too young have brokethrough to the 7th rank of Nascent stage.

Yi Ling's mouth curled up. She was only one step away from Emergent Stage. This time, she decided to roam around before moving to a different Kingdom.

She had already asked her son to look for her mother. She had drawn a lifelike painting of her. Though they haven't met for 6 years, she should still look similar to the painting.

Remembering the current date, she had forgotten that her birthday passed by when she was cultivating. She had never celebrated her birthday again, after she lost her mother. She was still guilty about the incident.

After a month of gathering information, Minzhe informed his mother that his grandmother isn't in the Red Phoenix Kingdom. He did heard about news regarding an elusive doctor in a certain mountain peak. Right close to the Azure Kingdom.

Hearing that Kingdom again, made Yi Ling smirked. Along with thirst for power, she was dying to see her fighting process. For this, she wanted to spar with Qianru and Minzhe. It would still take them two weeks on horse, to get to Azure Kingdom.
