The Fallen Consort

Memories of Yang Hualing and King Jin flashed inside Yi Ling's mind.

How they slowly courted. He was still hesitant at first, But didn't tried to ran away from her anymore. She became persistent, but just enough to keep him company and not scaring him off.

After 5 years, he slowly opened his heart for her. He brought her to a beautiful places everyday, dine with her with every meals, walked her around the garden and many more.

Though they had never kissed, he held her hand. He wasn't cold anymore, but still reluctant. But it was enough for Yang Hualing, she didn't care how long it could take her to open his heart fully to her. She patiently waited for him. It went on for another 20 years.

Until one day, Yang Hualing was hurt during one of her adventures. Sometimes, she goes into the deepest parts of the land to gather some rare herbs by herself. When she returned to the Jin Kingdom, she was wounded heavily.

She encountered a Saint Stage Spiritual Beast that was guarding the Moonlight herb. It was a rare herb that could bring back someone to the peak of their health, even if that person had one of his foot below to the ground already. Luckily, she was able to get it but she had to pay a huge price.

King Jin berrated her for her ignorance, risking her life for a mere herb. That was the first time that she had seen him got mad at something. He usually had a cool demeanor.

It was as if, he was scare to lose her. That's how he realized that he can't lose Yang Hualing. So he took care of her, pampered her. He helped her get back to her peak and even her Cultivation. So that she could live longer than one should. After all, she wasn't an immortal.

For the next years, their love blossomed. He proclaimed her as his Imperial Consort. His woman and his only lover. The Kingdom rejoiced! Knowing that their benevolent King had finally found someone to love.

Not knowing that it was all part of his plans. A second plan to keep her safe from their world. They shouldn't be able to cause troubles now, since she was now a human.

He only planned to keep her safe at first, until he did fall for her. His feelings for Yang Hualing was genuine. He did love her and also afraid of losing her again.

Unfortunately, As King Jin raised her Cultivation to lengthen her life span. Her powers slowly came out. Her soul was still the same, having the powers of a Deity.

Her dark brown hair was slowly turning lighter, as well as her brown eyes. Even some of her hair had specks of silver in them. Her fair skin also got paler. It was enough to bring King Jin into panicked.

So he decided to search of a way, to stop this process. Lengthening her life, without causing her real powers to show.

One day, When King Jin was away.

A cloaked woman showed herself in front of Yang Hualing. Yang Hualing was now 3 months pregnant with Jin Minzhe.

She showed up out of nowhere inside her Imperial courtyard. All of her guards and servants was knocked out unconscious. Luckily, the woman didn't kill them.

"Who are you?" Yang Hualing asked.

Yang Hualing may not know at that time, but Meiling did. It was the same woman who had given her the knife.

"I never thought that you'd come back to life. Much more, to be able to stand beside Muxin again. Oh.. And I heard you are now pregnant. Haha. Congratulations your highness." The woman bowed mockingly.

Yang Hualing pursed her lips. She could sense how strong this woman was, stronger than her. She bet even the Golden Knights is not her match at all. If anything, only Muxin can subdue her.

"Who are you? And what do you want?" She held her stomach, trying to protect her unborn child.

"You know, you've asked the same questions before. Oh, how could I forgot. You don't remember me at all. haha. How cruel is it? Knowing and not knowing." The woman walked closer to her.

Yang Hualing took a step back, not letting her get any closer. She prayed in her heart for Jin Muxin to come. Why of all days, that he left to do his business.

"He won't come. I made sure he won't disturb us today." As if reading her mind, the cloaked woman honestly said.

Yang Hualing gulped. "What did you do to him?!"

"Oh, don't worry. I won't kill him. It's just enough to keep him preoccupied, until I can finish my task." The woman stopped in front of her and slowly took her cloak off.

The woman had silver hair and blue eyes. Her skin was so pale, it would make a pearl feel shy and embarrassed. It looked so soft to touch. Definitely the most beautiful woman Yang Hualing had ever seen.

"I was too kind to you before, letting you decided who to kill. I didn't expected though that you would die by his hand. Haha. How unfortunate is your life? Loving someone who killed you on your past life?

Well, I'll be kind to you again this time. Since you're just a puny human being now." The woman gave her a cold smile, as if she knew a deep secret.

Yang Hualing's heart was beating fast. What is she talking about? Killed her? Past life? But for some reason, she felt like the woman was not lying to her.
