The Fallen Consort

The first day went smoothly as expected. Aside from the shock that the people received at the start, it went uneventful the rest of the day. At least, that's how Yi Ling thought it was.

She had only let her son do most of the judging. She would only speak some words, when Muxin found some person that was worth keeping. Yes, Muxin was watching them as well. No one knew aside from her, Minzhe and the Elders that Muxin was observing everything.

Out of the one thousand plus guard applicants, only 400 people returned successful at the end of the day. Since they didn't have any time limit, it went on until dusk. They were all accepted but would still undergo further test. To see who was whose giving high rankings or not. None the less, the 400 guards celebrated that night.

On the Blacksmith side, out of six hundred blacksmiths only 50 passed. That was how strict Minzhe was. He had learned blacksmithing with his Father. Everything that Muxin knows, he had taught it to Minzhe. Back when he was a General, Muxin certainly didn't know blacksmithing. It was only until Meiling passed away that he needed to find something worth making the time pass by. He had learned quite a bunch of skills through out millions of years. He had already mastered most of everything in this land.

With Linyu and Haoran's side, they were able to pass 80 cooks. It might sound so many, truly it wasn't. Not when the Sect is hiring this many people. Most of the people that they were going to hire were low cultivators. Hunger was evident in their lives.

On the second day, Yi Ling was more active.

She personally judge the Doctors herself, Linyu and Haoran handled the Alchemists while Minzhe, Qianru and Tefei handled the servants. As usual, Xiang He only sat down. He was only there to observe and to act to any distruptions. Being the Emperor and The Sect Master's Direct Disciple, he was the one who was tasked on maintaining order.

But all of this wasn't final yet, they were all still going to have a second test once they arrived inside the Sect.

It wasn't until the third day that it went chaotic.

There were at least Six thousand who wanted to apply for the positions of being a teacher and Elders. This was the highest position available. Most of everyone who had been teaching in different sects and schools had tried their best to apply. From the lowest rank kingdom to middle ranked.

Truly, they do needed teachers and elders but Six thousand was too many! It was even more compared to the last two days! Were they really that powerful on their eyes? Yi Ling couldn't help but thought. What she didn't know is that, since they made this test for these positions on the very last day. It garner more applicants. When she said ten thousand earlier, it was only a figure of speech. She really couldn't count that many people. Not knowing that the first day only consisted of Seven Thousand. Yi Ling had garner Three thousand more for today. It was truly a headache. Although she plans to get more disciples in the future, there were still only 120+ disciples inside the Sect. She really doesn't need that many teachers nor elders!

Also, news spread like fire regarding the first day. Even if the Sect was still new, they wouldn't attract this many attention if they were weak. Plus, Everyone who saw the Emperor control fire was really unbelievable! Even now, people couldn't stop talking about it.

As usual, Qianru took the lead to host the event. When she walked to the stage, everyone quieted down.

"Having been able to attract this many guests, I truly feel satisfied. Thank you everyone for coming here today. As usual, we will divide the two positions. Anyone who wants to apply as an Elder, please form a line to your right. Teachers would be on the left."

Everyone nooded and went to their respective places. The ones on the Elders side had more applicants that the teacher's side. It really was something to see. At most, Yi Ling only needed 20 Elders. 5 to oversee the whole sect, 5 for the outer sect, 5 for the inner sect and 3 for the Medical court and 2 for the Jade court. How will they filter this? There were at least 4 thousand who lined up!

"Let's ask them questions, like what you did with the doctors. It would be much faster that way." Muxin could only shake his head. His wife has always had this vibrant aura that could attract almost anybody. This, he didn't explained to her. She had the aura of a ruler. She was destined to rule that world. Anywhere she goes, it would certainly attract attention. No matter how she look nor she acts.

"Okay, let's go with that." Yi Ling then took out a piece of paper and started writing all sorts of questions. Not only for the Elders, but also for the teachers. When she was done, She gave the signal to Qianru. Qianru walked to her and took the paper from her hand. Reading the paper, Qianru couldn't help but giggled..

Pfft...

She then bit her tongue and tried to keep a straight face. All the Elders and Xiang He was curious what was on the paper. They knew that it was the test for the applicants for today. But what made Qianru laugh, was really intriguing. They could only shake their heads or shrugged their shoulders. No one knew what the questions were.
