The First Store System
Chapter 648
The few hundred customers left in the store hall went for the cultivation room first since they wanted to buy it earlier than entering the Panagea.
In no time, the store hall turned empty with only Aakesh remaining. Aakesh was currently seated on his chair. He didn’t close his eyes since it was only the second day since the cultivation art had gotten introduced in the store.
Since cultivation arts could only be bought from the store owner and not personally like the majority of other store products, Aakesh knew that customers would start lining up some time later to buy their respective cultivation arts.
The store had only turned empty when suddenly a mechanical alert rang inside his head.
[Host, there are only seven days left before the annual store event this year.]
The system informed Aakesh of the upcoming annual event, which was not very far, and only seven days later.
The next moment, a blue screen containing the details of a new quest appeared in front of him.
[Mission Objective: Organize the annual competition for the citizens of the Anga continent and the Primal dimension,
Requirement: After your suggestion, the yearly event has begun, and now it has become a tradition not only for you and the store but also for the people who know the store, so as usual, it’s your duty to organize it once again with the maximum possible zeal and commitment so that every citizen irrespective of their race and level can enjoy it,
Minimum numbers of attendees: 250,000,000,
Minimum number of competitors: 200,000,000,
Event time: Three days,
Mission reward: Nothing,
Failure punishment: Commission reduced by 100% for a year.]
Aakesh read the details of the quest and nodded. He had gotten used to this window screen as every year, seven days ahead of the event, the system would generate a mission for Aakesh to complete.
Only the first time when Aakesh had suggested the tournament, there was a reward, but after that, there was only punishment and no prize for organizing it since it was his suggestion in the first place. The failure punishment had been similar from the beginning and had seen no change, so Aakesh didn’t mind the mission even though there was no reward.
Aakesh then waved his hands. The next moment, light particles started moving away from the blue screen, and in no time, they disappeared, waiting for Aakesh to summon them.
Aakesh then started thinking about what events he was going to organize this year. Some events were going to be similar to the past, but Aakesh needed to choose new rewards for completion.
In the first tournament, there was an event where participants had to dodge the sword. Like the competition, the event had also become a tradition since its reward was a growth-level sword. Since it was from the store, the weapon grew to match the level of its owner after they won it. Usually, Immortal level cultivators won the event, so every time, there was an Immortal-level growth sword at stake.
Time flew by.
Aakesh stopped thinking about the event since the first customer exited the cultivation arts room and approached Aakesh.
Aakesh took a glance toward the customer and found a virtual book floating near them. It meant that the customer had previewed the art, so Aakesh now only needed to take ninety percent of the total sum since the customer had bought a legendary grade cultivation art and had already paid ten percent as the previewing cost.
“Store owner, I want this cultivation art,” The customer respectfully told Aakesh and then made the gesture of handing the page in his hands.
Aakesh stopped the customer and expressionlessly told him the remaining amount he needed to pay for having the ownership of the cultivation art.
Since the customer was already aware of the rules, he had already taken the precise amount out and handed it to Aakesh.
After the customer left, the store hall turned empty as they were the only customer to get quality cultivation art at that time. Aakesh guessed the customer to be lucky to get what he liked so early.
Since there was no customer approaching him and Aakesh decided to think about the event later, Aakesh suddenly decided to do something different.
“Hey, system, what’s the amount I have earned from the previewing cost of the cultivation arts?” Aakesh asked the system.
It didn’t matter if the customers bought the cultivation art they liked, the preview cost that got deducted stayed in his account. But since he had already earned some percent from the successful preview purchase of the cultivation art, Aakesh got no commission from the remaining amount.
Despite that, Aakesh was still at the win since his commission was only one percent and the least percentage of Primal stones he could earn from preview cultivation arts was two percent. Even though Aakesh didn’t care for the money he earned from the commission, winning still felt good.
The reason Aakesh asked the question was also due to the upcoming event.
In the first event, the system didn’t charge Aakesh many Primal stones for the reward he gave to the winners of the events, but all that ended in the second tournament. Aakesh needed to pay the entire cost of the material he used in the making of the prizes. Except for the territory in Panagea, every reward was from the pocket of Aakesh.
Aakesh decided to look at the amount he had earned from the preview cost since that amount could make the rewards even more expensive if Aakesh decided to get extravagant at any event.
The next moment, an amount consisting of all the five types of Primal stones rang in Aakesh’s head.
Only three customers bought the Immortal-grade cultivation art, but all three of them paid for the preview cost, and it alone went up to three million supreme Primal stones, let alone millions of other art sales.
Aakesh couldn’t think for long when another customer exited the cultivation arts room and approached Aakesh.
Time flew by.
Customers continued flooding into the store regularly as they learned of the excess number of virtual portals and the sale of the cultivation arts.
