Chapter 839 A New Day For The Store(6)

Chapter 839: A New Day for the Store(6)

Calming his pounding heart, Garos took a deep breath. His heart became calm as he became sure about the pill's credibility while his face regained its excited expression.

"You have seven days to pay the rest of the compensation," Aakesh stated. Aakesh added expressionlessly, "If you fail to do it, then the amount you have paid today will get wasted, and you will have to pay the total amount again."

"Can I enter the store in those seven days?" Garos asked since liquidating the remaining sum was bound to take time. Garos didn't want to stay outside due to the remaining amount he owed while the store would have begun its sale of the pills.

"Yes, you will not be blocked from today as long as you pay the remaining amount in the next seven days," Aakesh replied.

"I don't like rule breakers, so stay on the time limit," Aakesh suddenly added.

Even though Aakesh had already laid out the consequences of being late, he still warned Garos to stay on time. At the same time, Aakesh hoped in his heart for Garos to be late; that way, he would earn more. But he had to keep his status in mind, so he gave Garos seven days to pay the remaining amount since he couldn't look like a greedy merchant.

"I will keep that in mind," Garos answered.

On the outside, Garos' face showed nothing but excitement, but on the inside, he was raging after hearing the rule laid out by the store owner.

'It's not like I owe you money, then why the rules?' Garos wanted to scream it in the face of Aakesh, but he controlled himself before he could make the situation troublesome.

Aakesh could somewhat sense things going on in Garos's head, but he didn't care. Garos also had some faults in the way the scenes played with the store. "Don't bite more than the teeth can chew" was a fundamental survival tenet that Garos should have taught his son when he was a child.

The hurry to return to his wife reappeared in Garos's heart, but this time he controlled himself.

Garos finally focused on the part where Aakesh was a store owner and the store sold products. Since the store was going to have pills that could treat a disease like Maleros in the future, it must have great products in the current timeline as well.

? "Store owner, what product does the store currently sell?" Garos asked.

"The store currently only has one product, a virtual world," Aakesh answered expressionlessly, and then began to share the introduction to Panagea.

On the outside, Aakesh stayed expressionless, while on the inside, his heart was crying tears of joy. It was his fourth day here, while for the store owner, it was his third day. And yet, he had only received one customer. Garos was only the second person to set foot in his store in those three days. 'Was he finally going to have the second customer?' Aakesh cried in his heart.

Garos, who was only curious about the products sold by the store at first, stood frozen on the spot as he learned about Panagea.

'How could a store sell an item like this at first and then pills that could treat Maleros?' Garos found his worldview shattered like never before.

After the introduction came to an end, Garos couldn't control his curiosity and asked about the product sequence.

Aakesh didn't answer the question since it had nothing to do with the functioning of the store. He instead told Garos the price he needed to pay to enter Panagea.

After hearing the price, Garos heaved a sigh of relief. He had saved a hundred lesser Sacred stones in his inner world and did not give up every penny to Aakesh.

Garos then fell into a bind as he didn't know whether to return to Elera and share the information about the pill with her or enter Panagea and check out this fascinating world.

Just like Favan, Garos found Panagea to be a product that was at those rumored higher levels, although he didn't even know the name of those grades.

He also began to doubt the story about the city lord having a connection with Aakesh. Someone who could sell an item like Panagea to the public without fearing the strong wasn't someone whom the city lord could even meet, let alone have direct connections.

After a few seconds, Garos decided to enter Panagea, and then he would share the information about both the pill and Panagea with Elera. Believing that Elera must be unconscious, he paid the sum to Aakesh and proceeded toward the portal room.

Three virtual portals welcomed Garos when he entered the portal room. One of them was grayed out, while the other two looked like a sky filled with countless shiny stars.

Aakesh had already explained the difference to Garos, but since he couldn't satisfy his curiosity, he first went to the grayed out virtual portal and touched it. The phenomenon of getting sucked didn't appear, so he then went to the next one. As told by Aakesh, when he had only touched the portal with the tip of his finger, a suction force emerged, and he got sucked inside into an unfamiliar world.

Unaware of what Garos was doing, Aakesh called out the quest screen after Garos entered the portal room.

The next moment, a blue screen containing the details of the quest appeared in front of him.

[Mission objective: Sell products to ten customers,

Aakesh's eyes shined with joy as he finally saw the change in the customer section.

"Nine more to go," Aakesh mumbled as he waved his hands. The next moment, light particles began to move away from the screen, and not long after, the screen disappeared, waiting for Aakesh to call it back again.

Time flew by, and finally, the portal room had a movement. Favan's six hours were complete, so the system forced him out.

His eyes contained a mix of tiredness and excitement since he had finally completed his quest. The effort took a great mental toll on him, but the feeling of manipulating energy made everything worth the effort.

As Favan was leaving, his eyes fell on the virtual portal in the center. It was grayed out. Favan felt a wave of disappointment in his heart since he wasn't the only Panagea customer of the store anymore.

A/N: Did you like this arc?

There was nothing special about it, but these chapters took more time than usual. I would sit with an outline in my mind, but when I began typing, another idea will emerge, forcing me to start again.

It might not be the best, but I liked it. I hope, you also liked the way it played.
