Chapter 889: Panagea(2)

Aakesh didn't come across any beasts for the next few thousand miles. It was expected since it was the territory of the Level 300 Green Lizard.

Even though Aakesh made the killing seem easy, it was due to Aakesh's overwhelming strength and not because the Green Lizard was weak.

Aakesh suddenly came to a stop, and his face turned grave as a breath washed over him. Aakesh felt chills crawling down his spine when that breath washed over him.

It was the breath of a creature that had overwhelming power over Aakesh.

Aakesh didn't make any casual movements and let the breath disappear first. Until now, Aakesh had never died in Panagea, so he wanted to let this streak continue until the end.

Aakesh only hoped this creature would not have any ideas about a weak creature like him.

A few seconds later, the breath completely disappeared. As Aakesh had hoped, the creature showed no interest in him.

Aakesh heaved a sigh of relief and continued his journey. Aakesh's speed turned slow and careful after that.

It took him only a few seconds to cover a distance of several hundred miles, but after the appearance of the breath, the duration to cover the same distance grew to a minute.

Aakesh had only covered around two thousand miles after the sudden appearance of the terrifying sense when he stopped again.

Aakesh could sense a group of beings approaching in his direction at a rapid rate.

A bad feeling crept over Aakesh's heart as the sudden appearance of the breath and then these fellows charging in his direction didn't seem normal.

Unfortunately for Aakesh, before he could change his direction, the other group sighted him.

"Madam, there is a stranger a few miles away from us. Should we ignore him or kill him before that damn thing chases us?" One person in the group went to the person in the center and respectfully asked.

"Capture the stranger and use it as a lure to get that damn thing away from us," A gentle female voice that could soothe the minds of even the insane came out of the person in the center's mouth.

The next moment, two people separated from the group and charged toward Aakesh even more quickly.

Aakesh knew he had mistakenly gotten involved in something big.

Since things were going awry, Aakesh unsheathed the sword and charged at the attackers.

Both the attackers on the other side were Level 300, so Aakesh made an easy play of them. It only took him two swings to end the battle.

Aakesh then remembered the breaths of the people in the group. After finding the highest in the group to be only Level 301, Aakesh stopped worrying about them and charged at the group.

The person in the center didn't even expect in her dreams to see what she saw on the other side.

'I need to end this. Leaving an enemy like this alive would come back to bite me even harder than that damn thing,' The woman thought in her heart, and she ordered all her guards to completely focus on the man, and forget about the thing that was chasing them.

The woman seemed to have made an undefeatable enemy as Aakesh was not only strong but also an adventurer with the ability of unlimited revival. It was just that Aakesh had asked the system to hide the signs of his being an adventurer. Since he wasn't allowed to interfere with the quests of Panagea, there was no need for him to show himself as an adventurer.

Aakesh had also heard from the worm about the desires of powerful creatures toward the adventurers because of their ability to touch faith energy, so Aakesh thought of hiding it.<novelnext> </novelnext>

This hiding also turned the situation troublesome for Aakesh since the woman would have never dared to use a Level 296 adventurer as a lure, making an even more terrifying enemy.

The battle wasn't showy, as Aakesh went straight for the kill. With every slash of his sword, a head flew in the air.

Only the Level 301 man was a challenge, but even he failed to stop Aakesh's slaughter and died in the end.

After killing everyone in the group, Aakesh rushed at the hooded woman.

Aakesh could see through the hood easily, and a beautiful face welcomed his sight. The woman appeared graceful and lovely with silver hair, blue eyes, and an otherworldly face.

If there were others in place of Aakesh, they might have even let go of the woman after seeing her beauty, but unfortunately for the woman, the concept of beauty didn't work for Aakesh.

Aakesh didn't even try to ask any questions and swung his sword, aiming to cut off the lady's head.

"Eh!"

Aakesh couldn't help but frown as his sword stopped at the tip of her neck and refused to move any further.

"You can't kill me." The woman smiled after seeing Aakesh's failed attempt to kill her.

The frown on Aakesh's face deepened as what the lady said turned out to be correct. After activating the skill, Energy Overseer, Aakesh could see a cluster of light blocking his sword from moving any further.

Aakesh then decided to see whether the cluster of light or his sword was quicker as he randomly slashed at different portions.

But the result was the same. Whenever the sword was about to cut the woman, a cluster of light would appear and block the sword.

The situation was not only for single and physical attacks but also when Aakesh used a barrage of bullets or other magical skills, the cluster of light would defend the woman.

"I already told you, you can't kill me. If you want to kill me, your speed and attack power should be stronger than a Level 450 being," The woman told Aakesh in her otherworldly, gentle voice.

Aakesh also stopped his experiment. He had unlimited endurance but not unlimited energy.

"I can't kill you, but I can capture you and mentally torture you," Aakesh wasn't one to let go of someone that tried to kill him, so he said in his ever-present cold voice.

The woman said nothing but only smiled in response to Aakesh.

The next moment, suddenly a pair of red eyes opened behind her and stared at Aakesh.

Aakesh felt a wave of fear wash over him as he could see his death in those cold, red eyes.
