The car moved on. After a while, another car came from the distance. The sky was gloomy. In the dark rain, the car’s headlights shone faintly.

The car drifted through the heavy rain and came straight in their direction.

Chen Shu sensed something was wrong. He honked his horn to remind the other driver, but the car didn’t change its direction at all. It was still moving toward them.

But Ye Sui was next to him. He must not let anything happen to her.

Chen Shu’s eyebrows sank. His hand lying on the steering wheel, he turned aside, where the car would hit. In this manner, he would bear most of the impact.

He was terrified—terrified of Ye Sui dying.

Carefully holding out his hand, he trembled near her body. He wished to touch Ye Sui’s face with his hand. There was a lot of blood on her head, and he wanted to clean it up.

Chen Shu lifted his arm with difficulty, but couldn’t even cover half of the distance.

Ye Sui was obviously right next to him. He only needed to reach out a little, and he could touch her. But even at this close distance, he was having so much difficulty moving now.
