If they knew where Li Shen was in hiding, they wouldn’t send some random clan member to meet with him but an elder of their clan. And Long Feng would immediately sense if an expert like that left the Imperial City.

He also left markers at the other exits of the City, but from his observations, this was the most commonly used exit of the City.

But the problem was how long he needed to wait for such a thing to happen. It was a long shot and even he himself think this method was too unreliable.

So after only a day, he opted to give up.

Long Feng even speculated that the Li Clan actually didn’t know where that thief was sent to through that spatial tear.

‘Is he even on this continent?’

Long Feng suddenly thought about this problem as he got up.

The thief was missing for over half a year but wasn’t found. That could very likely mean he was sent to another Continent.

‘That’s if he wasn’t killed by the chaotic spatial laws in that spatial tear.’

“Xiao let’s go, we're going to search the nearest Continent for that thief.”

Long Feng didn’t hesitate to make up his mind.

But as Xiao got up to leave with Long Feng, and the people in the tavern were getting antsy, a voice suddenly echoed out.

“Despite being in the Core Formation Realm, how come I’ve never heard of such a genius in our Imperial City before? Is this brother from a top Noble Family? Why don’t you take off your veil hat and introduce yourself?”

A young man suddenly walked into the tavern with a sword strapped to his side.

Everyone seeing the Lan character on his right chest could immediately tell he was from the Lan Noble Family. They weren’t as strong as the Top three Noble Families, but their strength was still in the top ten.

And most of all, almost everyone recognized this youth. Sword-like eyebrows, thin lips, pale complexion, and strong nose for treasures. This youth was definitely the top genius of the Lan Noble Family, Lan Yu Ze.

To think he would reach here first, the rumors of him being greedy for cultivation resources must be true. But wasn’t he a Chosen with considerable strength at the early stage of the Core Formation Realm? He was supposed to be heading for the Southern Border where the Mercenary Association's carrier is leaving for the Star Bound Continent.

With his status, it wasn’t impossible for him to get a spot on the first carrier heading to The Star Bound Continent.
Well, in fact, Lan Yu Ze was actually heading out to the Southern Border when he received a message about a top-tier treasure rich in Spiritual Qi.

With the Chosen Tournament coming up, he had already exhausted the resources his family was willing to give him to boost his cultivation in a short amount of time. That was how he reached a hairs breath away from the mid-stage of the Core Formation Realm.

However, Lan Yu Ze knew he wouldn’t be the only one in the Core Formation Realm. A lot of geniuses were like him that had powerful backing supplying them with resources to increase their cultivation and a chance to get a spot in the top one hundred.

So he wasn’t surprised someone like this person had late Core Formation Realm cultivation.

‘He’s likely some Chosen outside of the Imperial City, and probably has a strong background to have such cultivation. Judging from his build and a few other things, he isn’t much older than myself.’

But despite thinking that this person was rather mysterious, Lan Yu Ze wasn’t going to miss this opportunity when he heard of a treasure rich in Spiritual Qi showing up so abruptly.

Lan Yu Ze looked at this veil-hat person deeply. Even though he wanted the treasure from him, Lan Yu Ze wasn’t foolish enough to just charge at him for it.

After thinking for a brief moment, Lan Yu Ze suddenly asked.

“This brother is likely heading for the Star Bound Continent, right? How about we accompany each other, if you don’t have a pass for the first carrier I can arrange one for you.”

Instead of asking about the treasure, Lan Yu Ze decided to strike up a friendship with this person.

“Not interested.”

Long Feng said before he walked around Lu Yu Ze and headed for the exit, he seemed to be in a hurry.

Lan Yu Ze didn’t seem to be bothered by the rejection and instead followed Long Feng out.

The occupants in the tavern were a little disappointed. They were expecting a big battle to break out but all the tension and anticipation had just fizzled out.

Outside the tavern, Long Feng turned to Xiao and asked impatiently.

“Come on show me, where is he?”

While the gourd bottle never left his lips, Xiao pointed in a certain direction in the sky.

Long Feng looked in that direction and narrowed his eye when he saw a small shuttle far away, that had two silhouettes inside of it.

While inside the tavern, Xiao suddenly sent him a spiritual message saying he smell one of the Divine Beasts from the Li Clan.

‘This Divine Beast likely belongs to that thief. If I followed him, wouldn’t I have a better chance of catching that fucker?’

Long Feng’s eyes under his veil hat glowed with an impatient glimmer. He wanted nothing more than to find Li Shen and rip him apart piece by piece.

Long Feng grabbed a protesting Xiao and place him under his arm, before raising into the air.

He was planning to follow the shuttle, but all of a sudden and burly figure wearing a wolf mask appeared in front of Long Feng’s ship.

Seeing this person suddenly block him, Long Feng glared at him.

Not even changing his clothes and only wearing a simple mask that could be found at any nearby street stall, Zihan Cong actually came back to confront Long Feng.

“Fucking brat, let’s see you be arrogant now.”

Long Feng snorted.

He hated people like this the most. Acting all self-righteous when in fact their greedy nature was no different from everyone else’s. In fact, because they acted two-faced, they were even worst than the people who were open about their actions.

“Screw off!!”

Long Feng didn’t have time for this idiot who was looking to die. But before he could get back to following that shuttle, Zihan Cong’s eyes behind the mask radiated a murderous glow before he charged at Long Feng.

At the same time, Tai and Fang Chen were on their shuttle heading for the City’s exit.

“Fang Chen, you didn’t need to come here, I could have reached the Academy on my own.”

Fang Chen smiled and responded.

“Fei Yin was the one who told me to pick you up since you weren’t returning. Now that it's on the day we’re leaving, even if you went all out it would take you at least two days to reach the Academy without a flying shuttle. But with this, we’ll be able to reach the Academy and take the teleportation circle to the Southern Border in time.”

Tai didn’t say anymore. He wasn’t a cultivator that cultivated Spiritual Qi so it was troublesome to operate shuttles like this. He had a storage ring that he could use thanks to his Soul Power, but rather than a shuttle operated by spirit stones, the only thing he packed inside were three things.

Food, Spirit Wine, and Spirit Stones.

Tai couldn’t bare to waste space by carrying a shuttle inside of it, and why would he use his precious spirit stones on a shuttle?

While Tai was creating a reason for his lack of a flying treasure, he and Fang Chen suddenly heard a loud explosion.

They turn back to see that inside the City, two cultivators were battling.

It wasn’t uncommon for battles like this to break out in the City, so the two only glanced at it before turning away.

However, something caught Tai’s attention that made him stare a little longer.
