"Ugh."

Dai Hee groaned as he slowly woke up.

"What hap-Urgh!"

Dai Hee was a bit out of it but suddenly it felt like his head was going to burst open.

"Are you finally awake?"

A voice suddenly echoed in the room making Dai Hee freeze. He looked up and through his blurry vision, he saw someone sitting on a chair some distance away.

When his vision recovered, Dai Hee's face went pale as he came face-to-face with Anang.

"E-Elder cousin, how did you find me?"

Anang stared at Dai Hee with an expressionless face for a brief moment before he rose from his chair.

"How did I find you?"

Anang asked as he approached Dai Hee with his head lowered and his hair blocking his face. After he reached in front of Dai Hee on the ground Anang bent down to Dai Hee's eye level and lifted his head to look at him with a gloomy expression.

"Hey, you fucker. Shouldn't I be the one asking why I had to find you?"

Anang had a twisted look on his face as his jaw visibly clenched.

"Cousin, I-"

SLAP!

Before Dai Hee could finish his sentence he was slapped by Anang. Then grabbing his hair, Anang made Dai Hee look at him before he spat out.

"You dare run away from me? If it wasn't for you would I be stuck at the Greater Master Realm of the Desolate Sword Art unable to completely form my Sword Domain?"

Anang raised his hand and slapped Dai Hee once again.

"The humiliation I received losing to that bastard from the Profound Sword Sect, all because you ran away...*Slap!*...Losing the advantage in the race for Clan Leader position, all because you ran away...*Slap!*...The Sect reconsidering allowing me to continue comprehending the Desolate Sword Art, ALL BECAUSE YOU RAN AWAY!!...*SLAP!*"

At this point, Dai Hee's left cheek was bruised red and he was bleeding from his nose and lip.

"Hey, do you have any idea what I went through after you ran away?"

With an even more twisted look on his face, Anang raised his hand and this time went to form a fist to punch Dai Hee in the face. However, when he tried to he felt his palm tingle.

Anang lowered his hand and looked at it to see that it was bright red from slapping Dai Hee. Even though he was using his Internal Qi in his slaps.

Anang then looked at Dai Hee's face and realized although it was bruised, it was disproportionate to the damage he should have received. And he wasn't even circulating his Qi to protect himself.

"Hey…"

Anang suddenly said to Dai Hee who was lowering his head.

"...didn't I tell you to never cultivate?"

Dai Hee hearing that had his body tremble.

"Hey…"

Anang's said once again, his grip on Dai Hee's hair tighten as he lifted his head up.
"...how are you in the Early Core Formation Realm?"

Dai Hee met Anang's gaze and the memories of him staying in the Sol Clan while being abused by him came crashing down on him. Even with his cultivation in the Core Formation Realm similar to Anang, he still felt himself to be that weak and timid Dai Hee from back then.

Anang was the son of the current Sol Clan leader and the future Patriarch of the Clan, while Dai Hee was his cousin from one of Anang's uncle's Branch families.

The Sol Clan was a Top Clan on the Star Bound Continent that had power and strength only below that of the Seven Sects

Anang being the son of the Sol Clan Leader was pampered from a young age, but by adding his immense talents to the mix and he was practically put on a pedestal. He was hailed as the greatest genius the Sol Clan had ever produced in its long history.

However, that was only what the outside world thought. Under the bed of their Clan, a place where all the Sol Clan's secrets that were never to be mentioned to outsiders were kept. There was one that would make Sol Anang, the person who was supposed to have the limelight on him all time, livid beyond all reason.

Dai Hee, full name Sol Dai Hee, was more talented than him. And not just by a little, even though Anang's father had acted quickly before Dai Hee's Innate Talent could be tested, it was speculated he might have a Supreme-grade innate talent for either his soul, comprehension, or foundation.

If word had gotten out about this, it would have shocked the entire Star Bound Continent and taken everything from Anaga. But luckily any news or rumors of such a thing was completely squashed before it could leave the Sol Clan.

Growing up, Dai Hee was treated like a prisoner in his own clan. He would be beaten and starved, coming to death's door several times.

Even as he was being tortured physically and mentally, Dai Hee as a child could never understand why his family was doing something like this to him.

Endless nights of crying and endless cries of pleas to stop turned into silence and submissiveness.

This was the Dai Hee Anang had gotten used to, so how Dai Hee responded next caused rage to burn in Anang's heart.

"I-I don't know."

"You-You dare lie to me? Your dantian was personally destroyed by me, HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO CULTIVATE!!"

Anang's grip on Dai Hee's hair tighten, causing the headache he was feeling the increase.

"N-No, I'm not. I have no memory of when I left the clan. I-"

Dai Hee tried to say but Anang simply ball up his fist and throw out a punch that connected to Dai Hee's nose.

There was a soft crunch as Dai Hee was sent flying back, slamming into the pieces of furniture in the room.

"I was already pissed off because of that bastard, but you just had to come and add fuel to the fire."

Anang walk over to Dai Hee and knelt over him before he started raining down his fists on him.

Dai Hee use his hands to shield his face all while hoping Anang would calm down. This always happened when he was angry, even if it wasn't him he was angry at, Anang would take out all of his frustration on him.

'But why do have to suffer through this? I knew I should have left, if I had run away Anang wouldn't have found me, and I… I…'

Dai Hee's thoughts trailed off and another thought suddenly appeared in his mind.

'Why should I run away?'

'BECAUSE IT'S ANANG!!'

'So what?'

'HE'S GOING TO BRING US BACK TO THE CLAN AND I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK!!'

'Then just don't go back.'

'BUT HE'S...he's stronger than us.'

'Do you really believe that?'

'I…'

'Stop running away. It never worked for me and it won't work for you.'

'…'

BANG!

Anang threw out a final punch before he stopped.

"Bastard."

Anang cursed as he felt like his hands were hitting an impregnable steel wall. They were throbbing with pain.

"I don't care if the technique won't work if you start cultivating. Your talent is MINE, MINE DO YOU HEAR ME!!"

As Anang barked that out before he grabbed Dai Hee's right hand and lifted his sleeves. Bite marks that covered Dai Hee's entire arm and disappeared into his clothes could be seen.

What Lu Yue had seen was only a portion of it.

The bite marks had become scars at this point. They range in size with the smaller ones looking like they had been made by a child and were the oldest of the scars.

Anang lifted Dai Hee's hand and then bit into his arm, his teeth drawing blood in the process. At the same time, several red markings appeared around Anang's mouth.

Dai Hee who was motionless on the ground could feel a suction force pulling at his Soul power and his Foundation. It was as if Anang was siphoning away his talents. No, this was exactly what he was trying to do, and had been doing so for a long time.

Every time Anang would do this, Dai Hee would feel weak and mentally drained like he was slowly losing his mind and reasoning.

However, this time was different.

The white light that his fragmented soul was releasing suddenly flicked and easily resist the suction force. At the same time, Dai Hee circulated his Internal Qi to stop the suction force to his dantian.

Anang feeling that the technique was no longer working raised his head and roared.

"NO! This can't be, bastard how am I going to reach the Perfection Realm then? I refuse to believe this!"

Anang looked deranged as he began gnawing at Dai Hee's hand, refusing to give up on absorbing his talents.

As this was happening, Dai Hee suddenly raised his hand and grabbed Anang's shoulder.

"I'll try, but I'm not confident."

As Dai Hee mumbled that under his breath, his grip on Anang's shoulder suddenly tighten causing a loud crack to echo out.

"URGH!! W-What?!"

Anang stumbled back while grabbing his shoulder.

"You bastard, how dare you?!!"

With bloodshot eyes and a vein bulging from his forehead, Anang dashed towards Dai Hee who was slowly getting up.

He pulled back his fist and released a punch. Anang held nothing back and a whirlwind formed around his fist as is shot towards Dai Hee at lightning speed.

BANG!

The shockwave of the punch landed on the wall; Dai Hee had side step out of the way.

The force of the punch caused the wall to light up with runes and protect the Inn from being destroyed. Though the furniture and bed turned to wooded splinters.

Swoosh!

Anang was already following up with another punch but Dai Hee easily dodge this one as well.

In this rather small room, Anang's fists and legs became a flurry of shadows as he attacked Dai Hee.

However, a moment later Anang's anger slowly began to fade away when he realized none of his attacks were reaching Dai Hee.

'What is this?'
