The Glory of Noxus

Chapter 4 Gray Pharmacy Alchemy Potion

Winter has arrived, the weather is getting colder, and time is starting to get a little reversed.

Between sunrise and sunset, the days are short and the nights are long.

When Huo Jixing went out again, the sky in the camp had gradually dimmed, as if a black curtain was about to fall and cover the mountains.

On the bluestone road, Huo Jixing walked slowly, letting the cold wind blow on his face, and his slightly irritable mood gradually calmed down.

Across the street corner, a low, staggered, and connected light gray building complex came into view.

Gray pharmacy!

The place in the Noxus camp where the wounded are treated and medicines are provided is also jokingly called the gray cemetery by the Noxus soldiers. It represents the rebirth of life and the destination of death.

The increasingly fierce war situation at the moment has caused a surge of people here, coming and going.

The turbid air is filled with the smell of herbs, and some mixed, indistinguishable special gas smells.

Huo Jixing stepped into the gray pharmacy, skillfully crossed the door, turned right and stepped into an open reception room.

In a crowded room, a Noxian soldier was receiving treatment. He was idle, leaning against the wall, looking at the surrounding environment.

Old tables, messy wooden shelves, some unnamed metal instruments and colorful liquids.

It didn't look like a normal infirmary, but more like a laboratory.

After waiting for a while, the treatment was over, and the Noxian soldier hugged his bandaged arm and hurried away. He also sat down on the empty chair in front of him.

Across the table, the Noxian doctor in a gray robe saw someone sitting down, looked up at Huo Jixing, and a faint smile appeared on his wrinkled face: "It's you, a little punctual."

"Hmm"

The Noxian doctor looked around and saw Huo Jixing wearing a crimson armor. His smile faded, his eyes were a little solemn, and finally he whispered: "How is your body recovering?"

"It's okay, it's recovering well."

Huo Jixing noticed the change in the Noxian doctor's expression, smiled and nodded gently, with the existence of the data panel, he could clearly know the changes in his body.

"Let me take a look first." The Noxian doctor walked up to Huo Jixing, stretched out his hands, and gently pressed Huo Jixing's shoulders, heart, abdomen, and thighs.

"It's indeed recovered well!" The Noxian doctor stood up and looked at Huo Jixing with some surprise. He still remembered the miserable look when he first saw Huo Jixing, but he didn't say much.

Everyone has his own special secrets, and he won't be curious to spy on others.

The Noxian doctor returned to the table, bent down, opened the drawer, took out a green potion in a glass bottle, and placed it in front of Huo Jixing.

"This is the last potion. After taking it, your body will almost recover."

"Thank you!" Huo Jixing took the green potion and thanked him.

He knew the temper of the Noxian doctor in front of him, and didn't stay for long. After thanking him, he turned around and left the room.

After walking out of the iron door of the gray pharmacy, Huo Jixing looked back at the light gray building complex behind him.

As night fell, the crowd gradually dispersed. Some Noxian soldiers wrapped in bandages could be seen going in and out; from time to time, painful groans and cries of death could be heard echoing in the air; or some expressionless medical staff carrying shrouds sent the cold bodies inside to the crematorium not far away.

"Life?"

Huo Jixing looked at the vivid but cold scene in front of him in silence, and suddenly understood something, but he couldn't explain it clearly.

Taking a deep breath, he tightly grasped the alchemy potion in his hand and walked away with a firm look.

After leaving the gray pharmacy, the sky gradually darkened.

Huo Jixing quickly finished his dinner, and while there was still some time, he washed up and immediately returned to the room.

There is a clear ban in the Noxian camp.

Rest after sunset, no walking around at night, no noise, no gathering.

Violators will be severely punished and no leniency will be given.

With the arrival of the dark night, the noisy camp slowly fell into silence, with only the swaying starlight and the bright yellow firelight illuminating the dark curtain.

In the narrow room, Huo Jixing sat in front of the bed, and took out the alchemical potion in his arms by the night starlight that soaked through the window.

In the simple and rough glass bottle, the turbid green liquid swayed, and a strange herbal smell filled his nose.

Huo Jixing looked at the alchemical potion in his hand, recalling the scene when he first saw his body, with hideous scars all over his body, large pieces of blood and flesh frozen to death, and faintly visible white bones and broken organs.

If it weren't for the timely rescue of the Noxian doctor and the alchemical potion poured into his mouth, he might not have survived that night.

At the same time, the alchemical potion was also the only two items related to the extraordinary that he had seen during this period.

Gugu!

Without much hesitation, Huo Jixing pulled out the wooden cap, shook the green liquid in the glass bottle, closed his eyes, and raised his head to drink it.

"It's OK, the taste hasn't changed, it's the same as before."

After drinking it, Huo Jixing smacked his lips, the remaining taste was a bit bitter.

Putting away the bottle, he sat in front of the bed, not moving, waiting for the alchemy potion to work.

After a moment, a warm current seemed to appear out of thin air, spreading from the inside of the body to the limbs, as if someone was massaging the body, or soaking in a hot spring.

Especially on the current winter night, the appearance of the warm current made Huo Jixing feel like he was in the middle of summer, and fine sweat appeared on his forehead.

But this feeling came quickly and went quickly.

After about four or five seconds, the warm current disappeared, and the cold of winter climbed up the body again.

"What a pity!" Huo Jixing sighed lightly. Thinking about it, the alchemy potion that can be provided to the legion soldiers must not be a valuable medicine.

And as far as he knows, there is a strict hierarchy in the Noxus Empire.

The nobles and the extraordinary are the controllers of this empire.

While his body was still warm, Huo Jixing wanted to practice swordsmanship again, but after seeing the sword marks on the wooden table, he gave up in disappointment.

Then he got up and started to exercise himself in the small room.

One hundred and fifty push-ups.

Two hundred sit-ups.

Two hundred squats.

When everything was done, Huo Jixing panted, wiped the fine sweat from his forehead, and opened the data panel.

[Name: Huo Jixing]

[Essence: 0]

[Strength: 1.22]

[Constitution: 1.18]

[Agility: 1.24]

[Spirit: 2.15]

[Skills: Advanced Warrior, Wild Survival]

[Talent: None]

[The average attribute value of a normal adult male is 1]

"Sure enough, my body has almost recovered." Huo Jixing looked at the attributes displayed on the data panel, and a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.

Whether it is strength and constitution, or agility and spirit, the data attributes displayed on the panel have surpassed normal adult males.

He felt this in the exercise just now, because it was much easier than before.

"Skills."

Huo Jixing's eyes fell on the skills, [Advanced Warrior] was still in an illusory state and could fall at any time.

"We must make good use of the remaining time, otherwise"

Freljord is not a good place. Whether it is the dead predecessor or the little information about Freljord in the memory, they all tell the cruelty of the frozen land in the north.

He needs to improve himself as much as possible in the following time and survive well in this war.

"Survive"

Huo Jixing, who was resting his head on his arms, seemed to think of something, and a little bitterness rose in his heart.

When did it become a luxury to survive?

Although 996 was a blessing in his previous life, and the mortgage and car loans made him unable to get up, at least it was a peaceful era. As long as he didn't ask too much of himself and didn't care about other people's opinions, life was still pretty good.

And here, he had to aim to survive.

It was a bit ironic, but it was so cruel that he couldn't help himself.

Thoughts surged into his mind, and Huo Jixing fell asleep under a thick, worn-out quilt.
