Great Sage 17 – Will You be Fine with Equipment Like That

As I rush through the shopping district’s main street, I lookup the exact location of the development company Ryuuki works at.

“Teleportation….. no, at this distance flying is just as fast”

Teleportation magic follows the shortest route and leaves you unprotected the moment you appear.
In the other world it was a common tactic to purposeful teleport your opponent and prepare a counter.

“Dunno if it’s possible with the magic of this world but it’s best to be careful”

Now the problem is the two beasts following behind me…..

“Maya-chan, Haruka, don’t follow me it’s not safe”
Still facing forwards, I yell at them,

“I refuse”
“Master and I will share the same fate”

Such wonderful replies came.

Looking back, I see Haruka in a maid outfit and…..
Maya-chan in pretty much just a hoodie, her chest swaying as she runs.

It’s reckless to use such defenseless equipment!
Various things are about to jut out making it extremely dangerous.

“Maya-chan go protect Kanako-chan”

“I won’t be able to deal with anyone that is able to destroy Ryuujin-sama’s barrier. Besides healing spells are your weak point right, I’m aunties top disciple so….. please bring me along”

It’s true that it would be helpful to have someone who can use healing magic but I don’t want to expose Maya-chan to any danger. Besides I don’t understand why she’d want to accompany me.

I peer at Maya-chan who is keeping pace beside me.
Her eyes are filled with determination, no longer that of a child.

Maya-chan looks at me and nods.

“I’m going to fly Haruka, can you keep up”
“Got it, Master”

“Maya-chan, grab on”
I extend my hand to her and she grasps it firmly.

I protect Haruka and Maya-chan with a shield and jump one hundred meters into the air in one go.

“What the hell”
“I can’t fly as well as the Dragon Lord so hold on tight”

As Maya-chan clings to me, her two bulges softly push against me. There’s no mistaking this sensation….. she’s not wearing a bra.

“In accordance with our oath, you will be clad in my garments”

It’s too dangerous so I quickly give her some equipment.
I soon see the multi-tenant building I’m looking for in the streets below me,

“It doesn’t look like there was a fight…..”

The business district retained its usual air with office workers hurrying home and cars slowly moving in the traffic.

Looking at the building there’s not a single trace of a fire.
I tilt my head in confusion,

“It’s faint but I can see the barrier that the Shimogami specialise in”。
Haruka points her finger.

Activating search magic to investigate the building, there’s certainly barrier magic present.

“Thanks, Haruka”
“What’s the plan then, Master?”

The barrier magic is being deployed from the centre of the top floor.
Their defenses will be the toughest in that area but it’s also the floor of the company Ryuuki works in.

“I’m going to burst into the spot where the mana is concentrated, Haruka stay behind me on standby”
“A frontal assault is it?”
“It’s an emergency after all, this is the fastest way”

To avoid mana detection I release my flying magic and hug Maya-chan.
Falling at great speed causes Maya-chan’s eyes to roll back but Haruka follows perfectly behind me.

“Kyahoi!”
She yells excitedly.

The moment we are about to hit the building I deploy a shield causing us to break through the ceiling and descend into the hallway of the top floor.

The building is completely silent, not a single person around.

The doors lining the hall contain the nameplate of various companies but no light shines from any of the rooms. The fluorescent lights above are off too and no light can be seen from the elevator room at the end of the hall.

The only the light comes from the emergency exit.

“Maya-chan are you alright?”
I ask as I let go of her,

“Apart from being a bit surprised I’m fine, but….. this is”

She looks down with a bitter expression.
As I expected, the battlefield is too much for her,

“I don’t think I can endure this”

Maya-chan trembles slightly as…..


She grabs onto the miniskirt of her sailor uniform above her loose socks.
