After his display of power silenced half of the mercenary army, Zaos kept moving toward the gate of the city while slashing apart everyone who stood in his way. Just like it happened ten years ago, he eventually found a whole battalion of heavy cavalry blocking the entrance of the town. Zaos could see their weapons dripping with a weird green liquid… it was probably the poison that he had cultivated over the years, and the mercenaries had stolen.

Once Zaos reached that point, the squads behind and on his sides began to move away. The heavy cavalry was their best chance to stop Zaos… even if he took down a few dozen of them, he was bound to run out of mana. Still, he could see in the eyes of the heavy cavalry, their formation and preparation would be useless if he decided to use Thunder Armor. Solving that with Thunder Armor would be easy, but Zaos decided to take a different approach.

Zaos equipped his greatsword and then began to walk toward the heavy cavalry. Until now, no one saw him using both arms, but it seemed that now was time for him to do that. However, Zaos never did it. After enhancing his sword and arms with earth magic six times, Zaos dashed toward the heavy cavalry while feeling like his muscles were about to explode… enhancing his body with the same type of magic six types was his limit but in exchange for that… When Zaos got close enough to the heavy cavalry unit and swung his sword, he sent four riders and their horses flying to the distance. All the bones of their bodies probably shattered with that massive power, but Zaos didn't stop there.

While the mercenaries' eyes were wide open while seeing heavily armored humans and their horses flying in the sky, Zaos dashed toward the core of the heavy cavalry and kept attacking them mercilessly. Not even their poison-coated spears had the chance to scratch them. They simply froze on the spot at that demonstration of otherworldly strength. The sound of Zaos' greatsword colliding with the shields made it look like numerous thunderbolts were falling in the area.

When the effects of his magic ended, Zaos took a moment to breathe and check his surroundings. The heavy cavalry didn't dare move toward him, so he put his sword on his back and equipped Guardian's Heart. Half of the special battalion that those three had been preparing for him had been decimated, and the other half was utterly terrified. Some mercenaries began to move away from the battlefield… rumors told them that Zaos split horses and riders in the war ten years ago, and now they just have an even more frightening version of that… Zaos did something much scarier with a single arm.

"Your leaders are going to die today. If you feel indebted to them, feel free to attack me," Zaos said. "However, if you value your life, drop your weapons and obey me because I am going to be the new leader of this country. If you feel unsatisfied with that, then leave the country."

That declaration shocked the people around him even more. However, no one believed that Zaos could fail at that point. His strength far surpassed the realm of normal humans. So, soon they would be forced to bend the knee or move away to other counties where they probably won't be welcome.

Many archers were still behind him, but Zaos still showed them his back while he walked toward the closed gate of the town. The walls were high, but he could jump over them. However, he could feel the presence of some sneaky soldiers waiting for him to show up. Despite everything they had seen, they still felt like they could get Zaos by surprise. Zaos shook his head and then walked toward the gate. Once he got close enough, he enhanced his sword with wind magic and then cut the thick gate into pieces with only three strikes.

As he had expected, he found another squad armed with magic crossbows waiting for him. It was probably a gift from Drannor… Nevertheless, the archers pulled the trigger while they were confident that they wouldn't miss. Zaos didn't have time to draw his greatsword, and blocking all of the projectiles was also impossible. That seemed like a good training, so Zaos let the first volley of bolts hit him. Fire, wind, earth… bolts with those elements hit him one after the other, but while that caused some pain and wounded him. Zaos was faster to heal his wounds. Besides, his armor protected the most important parts of his body, so dying wasn't possible.

Even though they were shocked, the archers tried to hit him again, but Zaos didn't give them that chance. He dashed toward them while using Thunder Armor, and in the next moment, heads began to roll, and blood began to rain like blood. He wondered what the people of the town would think of him once they left their homes and saw the streets covered in blood. However, he couldn't afford to worry about that.

Once he passed through the first line of archers, Zaos turned around and finished the others in the next two seconds. In just three seconds, fifty archers lost their heads… Zaos felt like he had already made his point, but he couldn't go back on his word. Those who point their weapons toward him won't have his mercy.

Other squads of mercenaries began to appear one after the other, coming from the alleys and some streets of the town, but near immediately, half of them turned around and ran when they saw the path of blood left behind by Zaos. He had already killed close to one thousand soldiers in less than fifteen minutes, and he didn't look tired or wounded. His clothes only had a few scratches here and there… fighting right now for them wasn't a matter of pride or honor, but it seemed that only those who had a death wish or were blind by greed wanted to fight.
