The Hero Proposed to Me

“Why are all these high-ranking nobles doing this here?”

“Her Highness hasn’t been at ease for the past few days.”

Regina informed me of Princess Lotte’s current situation. That’s right.  The wife of the Marquis Baldr, whom she wanted to kill, is found to be alive and well, and the situation becomes more complicated because I suddenly collapsed in front of the emperor.

“Let’s go for now.”

After the conversation, the two men disappeared. I finally breathed a sigh of relief and looked around. The size of the crown prince’s palace is not small, but the Lily Palace was several times larger than I imagined.

“Why is this place so big?”

“This was once the palace of the Empress Dowager. All of the emperor’s children will grow up here, including the official empress.”

I thought it was exceptionally large. As expected of someone who kicked out her brother’s wife and lived in the master bedroom of her parent’s house, Princess Lotte’s touch on the Lily Palace showed that tradition and authority were still in place.

An irritated voice picked a quarrel. I wondered who it was, they were the idiots who cursed at me behind my back the other day. I’m pretty sure Stan scolded them, but they still seem to have lost their senses.

“You’re about to be kicked out anyway. Unlike us.”

Is she getting kicked out anyway? After everyone had left, I asked Regina.

“What do you mean, you’re being kicked out?”

“No, just, it’s been a while since I came in. I think it’s time to go home.”

Could it be that Regina is going back to her house? How on earth did Princess Lotte pay attention to such words? Lady Regina, who was the only friend I made in the imperial palace, left.

I was drained of energy just from imagining it. As I trudged towards the entrance, one of the maids approached and pushed me sideways.

“Hide. That is His Highness Stan.”

“What? Where?”

Stan started walking from a long distance away. Fortunately, I don’t think he found me, but judging by the expression on his face, he didn’t look happy.

Please, please don’t recognise me, but Stan got closer and closer. Did you find out who I was? When I heard Stan’s voice from behind, I was just looking at the ground and walking quietly.

“Lady Regina, please stand there for a moment.”

He’s here at last. Once I turn my back and stand still, Regina and the other maids turn around to hide my presence.

“My mother told me to stop by later after dinner.”

“I will take it.”

Fortunately, he was just trying to convey the message. Regina slightly lifted the end of her dress to greet him. Let’s keep going in a safe and quiet way. We were about to go back to our original path when we saw Stan turn around and leave.

“Oh, I see, Hold on a second. I think…… Ciel?”

I hurriedly tried to follow, but Stan suddenly called me from behind. Startled, I stopped walking.

No matter how I dress, it’s hard to stay out of sight. My body size and hair colour are the same. They want to be able to tell who I am just by looking at my back, which might be possible if it’s Stan.

Stan is coming up on us. Are we really going to get caught like this. With my head down, I deliberately showed no response.

It was almost a few steps away. I shut my eyes tight and shrank, giving up everything.

“Your Highness said that you like Ciel, so it seems you like her blonde hair.”

“She is a kid who came to work last month, so her status is low, but if you want to take her, I’ll gladly hand it over.”

Regina came to my side first and put her hand on my shoulder. What is she saying now?

When Regina said those words, Stan took a step back in panic.

Stan’s voice trembled at the words of Regina, who deliberately took several steps ahead. I don’t know what kind of face he’s wearing, but judging from his voice, it’s clear that his face is flushed red.

“Thank you Regina. You saved my life.”

“His Highness Stan is really great. He must like you a lot.”

At Regina’s words, I also nodded. I didn’t expect him to find me just by looking at my back.

“I mean.”

I think that’s a level that could be considered a true instinct. But somehow we got through it safely, so we headed towards the building with the treasure house.

“The expenses are exorbitant.”

Even if there are tight guards, most of them are just regular guards. Regina, I, and the maids sat in the corner and smoked sleeping candles while holding my sister’s anti-sleep glue to our lips.

When Regina’s maids saw how things were going, they finished their full-fledged preparations quickly and went to infiltrate.

While the maids dealt with the fallen guard outside the building, the strong scent of sleep filled the building.

The guards on the inside fell down, and before they knew it, we were able to get into the vault.

“How do you plan to break the barrier?”

“I have everything I need.”

After giving back the Levatein, which was back to its normal size, I decided to see how my training was going. As I put magic into Levatein, the corridor was filled with a bright light.

We went right into the room with the treasure. Regina and I went into the treasure room while the maids stood guard outside.

It’s a shame that such valuable things are just sitting around and getting dusty. I didn’t have time to look at any of the other treasures, so I hurried to find something that belonged to Alex’s mother.

“Ciel, all the rings are here.”

Looking at where Regina was pointing, I saw the Empress’s ring I had seen before. I carefully grabbed the ring in my hands.

“I’m glad I found it safely.”

“I know. His Highness will be pleased, right?”

Now it’s time to put down the fake ring. Regina smiled and picked up something of hers as I put the real one in my hand and put the fake one down.

Wait a minute. Why are you touching the diamond necklace next to you all of a sudden?

“Why is that talking about that all of a sudden?”

“This suits Ciel better.”

Regina picked up the necklace without fear and put it around my neck.

“Do you like it?”

“Shouldn’t you put it down quickly, regardless of whether I like it or not?”

“Whatever. Take one or two, it’ll be the same anyway.”

Regina put something in my mouth before I could finish what I was going to say. My mind is fine, but I lost all my strength all of a sudden.

When Regina blew a whistle, the maids who were waiting at the door ran into the room.

“Hurry up and put it in. We don’t have time.”

“Yes, miss.”

A maid wrapped her arms around me as I fell. Stay put. There’s something wrong? I wanted to talk, but my mouth wouldn’t move.

Regina and the maids began to sweep all the treasures in the room. Maybe it was a magic pocket, but the treasures went into the small pocket endlessly.

“Wait a minute, Ciel. I will take you to Sir Isaac soon.”
