The Inconvenient Wife

Rohan came near and sat next to her. Sneha couldn't believe it and was further flustered. Rohan kept smiling so she poked him.

"Ouch Sneha, that hurts!" he shouted.

Sneha started crying uncontrollably. "Why have you come back? Honestly, I have no more room left to feel so miserable and betrayed. I'll go to the court and give you the divorce papers today. Please, just don't hurt me anymore…go away."

Rohan listened to her calmly and asked, "Have you finished talking? Can I speak now?"

Sneha nodded, she wanted to hear from him. Rohan wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly. He didn't know that holding Sneha would be emotionally overwhelming. Even with her tears Sneha looked irresistible.

He loved her! He knew he loved her but he never expected it. His reckless liking for Stella had long vanished after he'd started interacting with Sneha. He didn't know when he fell in love with her, but it seemed very natural and he felt completed now and holding Sneha was nothing if not befitting at the moment. This delicate woman had generated a hurricane of emotions in his otherwise cool and relaxed existence.

"I love you Sneha. Will you be my soulmate for life? It is impossible for me to live without you," he said while looking into her eyes.

Sneha was amazed at this dramatic turn of events. Just two days back she left City M never to come back and today she's sitting here with Rohan while he told her he loved her. She melted in a minute and all her negativity disappeared in the blink of an eye.

"Yes, I love you too," she answered. "Why did you take so much time to say it?" she reprimanded Rohan.

She was laughing and crying at the same time. Rohan wiped her tears and said, "I don't want you to cry anymore and I don't want you to leave me again. Never, ever will you have to come back to your father's place like this."

"What about Stella?" Sneha couldn't resist asking the question.

Sneha looked at him tenderly with her big brown eyes. Rohan looked back and did not resist his temptation to kiss her on her luscious lips.

He replied affectionately while romantically lip caressing the nape of her neck, "I have applied for a transfer abroad. Mr. Gupta was kind enough to recommend me to the company director who has agreed to send me to Los Angeles. So…no Stella…ever." He hugged Sneha even tighter, gave a deep, urgent kiss, and they sat in silence in loving bliss with a bright future ahead of them.
