The King Alpha's Mate

The silence at the back of his car makes me feel a little awkward. Beta Matias is the one driving the wheels and sitting beside him is Hadil while me and the Alpha are behind them. I made sure I'm sitting closer to the window than it is to him,while he just sat there with unreadable expression in his face.

He had on an impenetrable dark sunglasses that's covering his eyes. Last time i saw them it's gold and fiery. I wonder how does it look by now. I'm not sure for how long i was staring at his angle until he asked.

"What is it mate?!

His sudden question almost made me jump from my seat..because of how his voice is. It was like a loud thunder beside me. I wonder how the two people in the front of the car didn't bother to even looked back at us to see what's going on.. It's as if they didn't hear anything.

I didn't realize I've been staring at the outline of his body from the side for quite a while. But does he have to snapped like that?

"I..uhm nothing". I was just wondering how long are we going to reach our destination".

I stammered a little but i guess I'm getting used to his loud voice. I turned my head on the window, when i heard him speak.

"About twelve hours on my private jet and we will reach the airport in a few minutes, you can asked me if you have something that you didn't understand. Nothing's gonna happen if you just stare at me like that".

His mouth twisted in the corner and I gasped a little when he removed his sunglasses and run down his gaze from my head to toe. I could almost feel those eyes caressing me like I'm naked in my seat. Before i blush and gave in to the handsome Alpha beside me, I'll have to remind myself that i am taken against my will and we are going to his private jet at the airport. This is my last minute in San Augustine.

"Wow, that far huh? You really are making sure I couldn't get away without boarding a plane".

I can't help but get sarcastic on my remarks but it is the truth.

"Carmela, there are a lot of things you would learn when you come to the palace. I don't say it will be easy but if you accept our fate with an open mind it would be easier for you".

"I would not apologize for how i am. You will surely take some time to even get used to the tone of my voice because i am an Alpha." But the moon Goddess choose you for me and I believe it is for a great purpose".

"If that is what you believe Alpha Jack, i could respect that. I wish you could do the same with my beliefs and the future I want for myself, because our beliefs are different and i have a freewill".

His response was a groan in his throat and i can tell he didn't agree with me, our concerns was distracted by the car stopping at the deserted part of the city's airport.

Alpha Jack opened the door on his side and quickly turned around to open mine. I couldn't get used to how fast he moves, he could go very far in a split second. His so unnatural and so intimidating. I have no choice but to agree with him for now because i am just a weak and normal human being.

"This is our private jet Carmela and you can used it according to you're wishes when you become the Luna of our Pack".

I looked up and there i saw the beautiful multi million dollar private jet that only few people in this world owns. I swallowed a lump in my throat as the meaning of his words sink in. If only I could used this luxury thing to run away but that would be baloney. I'm not sure if the pilot would even be glad to help me because I surely can't fly alone. I walked quietly next to him but he stopped at the based of the stairs and step aside glancing over me.

"After you Carmela, don't trip".

He hold my elbow gently and guide me towards the first step. My feet trembled a little and my heart race, i am finally going away and there might be no coming back. I thought about my childhood with my family and the house we used to live. The picture of my mother when she was still alive. Our neighbors, my friends at school and even the people in this town.

The warm feeling of his touch against my skin put me back to the present, so I continued to walked upstairs until i reach the door of the private jet.

"Good afternoon Luna!

The vibrant voice of a stunning woman with redhead caught my attention. She's looking very gorgeous in a steward uniform and her killer smile made me a little envious. She looked so happy, I wished i feel the same. I gave back an awkward smile, looking back at myself in a casual skinny jeans and a loose knit wear top. Compared to her elegant beauty, I looked like a lousy teenager.

"Oh Alpha Jack! Welcome back you're majesty!

She quickly came forward to perhaps greet him with a hug but he cut her off in a commanding voice.

"Wilda! Please guide Carmela into the master's suite and get me the pilot, where is he!

There he goes again with his irritable voice. Then i saw the old man in his fifties who's walking fast and immediately bowed his head to us.

"Welcome aboard Alpha Jack, you're majesty and to our Luna.. my name is Oswald de Vinci, i am you're pilot". I apologize for the late introduction Alpha, i was just double checking the plane when you arrived".

I felt pity for the old man giving his sincere apologies for Alpha Jack. And I turned back my gaze to the beautiful stewardess who never seems to mind after Alpha Jack's rudeness towards her.

"Next time Oswald be very attentive of the time and of my arrival!

" Yes Alpha Jack, Thank you for understanding."

Wilda turned to me and smiled. "Let's go Luna, the master suit is ready for you".

Glancing at the Alpha, who is now engage in a serious conversation with the pilot I followed her slowly.

I am astonished to how luxurious the private jet is. We passed by a few number of wide plush lounge chairs that is reclinable for sitting and sleeping. There were large windows that bring in the natural light of day from outside. The cream and gold color of the jet's interior is very pleasant for the eyes .

She opened a door and we step into a suite that would match the ones that's in a famous five star hotels. The bed looks huge and very comfy, i bet it feels heavenly to sleep under those fluffy blanket and big pillows.

"Thank you Wilda". I murmured with a smile.

"Only the best for the Alpha and Luna of the Royal Pack. If you need me, just dial one in the intercom.

"Food menu is beside the phone. I will take my leave now Luna".She went out and i decided to sat down the bed taking in the luxury of the surroundings, this is my first time being on a Plane like this.
