The King Alpha's Mate

Jack's *POV*

I reclined my seat in a sitting position, we will arrived in the private airport of the Langstone Palace in just an hour.

"Is there anything you need Alpha Jack?

Wilda asked in her usual extra sweet tone of voice which I don't find attractive at the moment. My mind is filled with the images of my mate back in the master's Suite. The looked in her face while she was sleeping aroused a feeling of weakness in my heart. I would have stayed back there and just sat by the window listening to her rhythmic breathing as she lay down in bed. But I couldn't, after she woke up and had spilled discouraging words to me.

"No Wilda,! none for me. Go ahead and asked the wolves if they'd like some refreshments. I shall not be disturbed until our landing".

In my deep grumpy voice Wilda bowed her head, I didn't mean to say it like that but most of the time my wolf blood is aggressive when stirred.. I turn my head towards the window and watch the vagrant white clouds outside. I've missed the bed of evergreen grass in the Langstone jungle, it's been a while since the last time I had my hunt.

"Sure thing Alpha, please excuse me now".

Her footsteps walked farther from my seat as she greeted and asked my warrior wolves for food and drinks.

My mind drifted with the thought about how the King and Queen will be pleased for my arrival.

I bet the old wizard had already known that today is the day that they will meet my Luna and the future Queen of the Langstone Palace. Maleficus seems to know firsts the destiny of the Royal Pack when the King asked him about it. I took in a deep calming breath and waited for the time to passed by.

It wasn't long when my pilot Oswald, announced our landing. My first reaction was to stand up from my luxury leather sit and headed towards the Master's Suite. I cleared my throat from outside the door making sure she overheard the noise inside.

"Are you ready to leave?

My voice came out croaky as I tried to control the way i asked the question avoiding the fear in her reaction as i opened the door and saw her.

She look upon me from a sitting position in the big bed and her eyes held an emotion which I could describe as not pleased.

"Yes i am ready to leave". She sighed and gets up from the bed.

"Don't take anything with you, someone will come and take care of our luggages".

Motioning on her luggage i took a step forward and inhaled the air around her. She smelled so good I could never get enough of it. Before she could protest I took her right hand urging her to come forward with me. She hesitated before letting me guide her to the door.

We made it outside the room and notice that the wolves have already emptied their seats. Oswald and Wilda are the only two standing near the plane exit door waiting for both of us.

"Where did everybody go? Carmela asked glancing around the empty seats of the plane.

"They are already down waiting for us, like I instructed my best warrior wolves are to escort us on the way back to the palace. Some of them you haven't meet yet. I'm assuming you are already calm enough to get to know them casually."

Her brows furrowed slightly and her lips in a thin line.

" I'll try to be polite as much as possible Alpha Jack, but it doesn't mean I am loving every minute of this".

"Very well, i guess we'll settle for that on the first place."I added with a smirk.

Holding her hand, we passed by Wilda and Oswald at the door.

" You're Majesty Alpha Prince Jack, I hope you enjoyed the flight today. Luna Carmela our future queen welcome to the Land of the Royal Pack".

Oswald did the farewell greetings while Wilda stood still in a smiling face. She didn't add another word and just nods her head towards us. She’s quick to understand that I didn't wanted her flirting with me in-front of my mate. As the Queen Luna she must respect Carmela, Wilda knows her place in the Pack.

Carmela forced a smile towards Oswald and Wilda.

" T-thank you Mr. Oswald and Wilda".

"You're most welcome Luna".

The two replied at the same time.

As a reminder i give a few words to the pilot.

"Take care of the plane Oswald, remember what we had discussed."

Standing on the door i caught the scent of the Royal pack warriors waiting for us..and something else! Damn!

I gave a quick warning look to Oswald and continued walking through the stairs holding Carmela by the elbow. The familiar scenery welcomed us both, but Carmela felt different as i hear her gasped for air. She must be bewildered.

There were about eight expensive cars park around the jet and my warrior wolves are all eyes upon us. The old wizard Maleficus was down there standing and beside him...my father and mother, the King and Queen of the Royal Pack! I was not mistaken when I caught both of their scents. They can't wait to meet her in the Palace, they've come to this tiny airport bringing the army of wolves just to see my mate?

I groaned in protest, Carmela slightly trembled and i can feel that she is not comfortable. My only hope is that she would allow me to take that worries away. None of the wolves downstairs would ever try to harm her. They came more excited and eager to meet her.

I see my mother's wide smile with the stars in her eyes as she looked at Carmela from head to toe. My father was the same, but he had withdrawn his eyes quickly from her and focused it at me. I groaned in protest and Carmela stiffened.

"Relax mate, the King and Queen of the Royal pack is here to meet you. If you can just be at eased because they have waited long enough for this moment".

I whispered in her ear as the distance between us and my parents shortened. My mate didn't say anything else but she's a bit nervous by the sound of her heartbeat against my sensitive hearing.

"Welcome back my son!

Queen Helen was the first to break the silence in the air and greeted me.

After giving me a quick embrace my mother was quick to notice Carmela and put her two hands above my mate's shoulders before she gave her a tight hug.

"Oh my, heavens! Look at you...You're absolutely gorgeous. I hoped the flight did not tire you off.

"By the way, I am Queen Helen of the Royal Pack. Welcome to the Langstone Palace."

I saw from the corner of my eye that Carmela blinked a few times before she answered my very eager mother.

"Hello! M-my name is Carmela White."

"Carmela! Nice name, i liked it. No wonder my son had been busy in the past few months. You looked like you just turned eighteen, ah! So young.

"My son had been waiting for you in decades. I'm so glad you two meet at last!

I turned to distract my mother from her very welcoming behavior.

"Mother, aren't you going to introduced my mate to the King?

My father crossed his arms from his chest and smiled at her. An "oh" was formed in my mother's mouth before she turned around and say the introductions.

"Carmela sweetie, i'd like to introduce you to the King of the Royal Pack and soon your King Father. Alpha King Darius Langstone".

"Welcome to the Langstone Family Carmela, you are going to meet the whole Royal Pack soon enough. I hope Alpha Jack did not gave you a hard time.

My father shook my mate's hand and turned his gaze towards me. He is overjoyed that I didn't fail him.
