The King Alpha's Mate

*Carmela's POV*

The feel of Alpha Jack's hand under my elbow while we're going down the stairs of the private plane is giving me light shivers. Because I can't help but get nervous about being brought here at the wolves lair but somehow I thought Jack would protect me.

I gasped in surprised when i saw the group of people waiting for our arrival.

Tall men with large bodies, looking like the ones that built their muscles in the gym class. They looked strong and their eyes showed no fear. Now i know what a warrior wolf looked liked in human form. Then i saw the familiar face of the old man named Maleficus. Beside him stands the two most good looking individuals in the face of a man and a woman that i have ever laid my eyes on.

I felt intimidated by the sight of the stunning woman wearing a long sleeve vneck maxi dress thats elegantly wrapped around her body accentuatting her perfect curves. She wore a small crown over her head with small diamonds in silver mounts and She's coming straight towards us..

She walks like a Queen and moves like a supermodel in a catwalk, she must be Jack's sister or his relative the way her features shows a similarity to him.

"Welcome back my son! She threw her arms around his neck and give him a hug.

Wait...what? A son? Does it mean that this woman is Alpha Jack's mother! I shook my head in disbelief. My..how did she look just the same age as him.

The woman then smiled and turned her beautiful face towards me.

"Oh my, heavens! Look at you...You're absolutely gorgeous. I hoped the flight did not tire you off.

"By the way, I am Queen Helen of the Royal Pack. Welcome to the Langstone Palace."

I couldn't find the exact words to answer her. I have no strength to resist her two arms when it reaches out to me for a sweet embrace. She smelled wonderful too, not only does she possess the beauty of a Goddess but also she has the warmest and the friendliest smile that i have ever seen.

"Hello! M-my name is Carmela White."

"Carmela! Nice name, i liked it. No wonder my son had been busy in the past few months. You looked like you just turned eighteen, ah! So young.

"My son had been waiting for you in decades. I'm so glad you two meet at last!

She sounded excited, and full of life. Then i noticed the man standing beside Maleficus. He stand so tall and handsome maybe about six foot five. He wore a gold embellished long sleeve shirt inside a tux with a crown full of expensive stones above his head. He's gaze is glued at us with his eyes same color as Jack, he must be the King as I remembered from Maleficus's vision.

"Mother, aren't you going to introduce my mate to the king?

Jack's voice cut me off from wondering.

I saw how the Queen's eyes looked at the King, their glances meet and they created a spark like they have the same feeling and thought. No doubt that they must have love each other through eternal.

"Carmela sweetie, i'd like to introduce you to the King of the Royal Pack and soon your King Father. Alpha King Darius Langstone".

"Welcome to the Langstone Family Carmela, you are going to meet the whole Royal Pack soon enough. I hope Alpha Jack did not gave you a hard time.

The King walked towards us and extended one of his long arms at me, I hesitated but I'm afraid the Queen won't be pleased if I don't take his hand. It was a brief and firm handshake, maybe the King knows how I felt because he didn't mind when i grab back my hand quickly after meeting his.

Queen Helen softly laugh and whispered at the King which made him bend his head a little lower because she's not as tall as him. Hearing the words that she said made him smile and gave her a quick soft kiss on her lips. I blushed at the very sweet scene in front of me and Jack groaned.

"I am tired Father, let us go on to the Palace and I need Carmela to get some rest".

His father let out a gorgeous laugh, that all my fear and anxiety towards the wolves suddenly disappeared. Amusement dance in his light brown eyes. He had better mood than Alpha Jack, is what I thought.

"Of course my son..and Carmela, let me say my welcoming words to our future queen. I understand this is all very difficult for you at first."

"There will be struggles for acceptance but fear not and believe that you are protected by the greatest warriors of the Pack. And not to mention the undivided love of the future King of all Alpha and my only son..Jack".

He proudly said in his deep well modulated voice. My voice remained in my throat when Jack called his father.

"Father..

He did not seem to enjoy what the King had said based on his brows that are furrowed. I gave a shy smile to the King and looked down but his words was inscribed in my heart and suddenly there's a part of me who wanted to accept this destiny if I couldn't find a way out but I still couldn't accept to become.. a beast.

"Alright son, go on but come to me after taking your mate to your chambers. I'd like to have a word with you in private".

Alpha Jack just nod his head in agreement.

Queen Helen turned to me and softly smiled. "See you at dinner time Carmela dear".

I just smiled back at her feeling a little mesmerized by her beauty and grace.

The King stepped back holding the hand of Queen Helen and headed towards a limousine. There were two men standing waiting for them and they immediately open it's door for the royal couple to get in.

Alpha Jack took a deep breath in and turned towards me.

"Let's go mate, our ride is this way".

I caught the smile in Maleficus's face before he bowed his head to us. Then i glanced at a black bentley and saw Gemer open the door for me.

His smile is very formal and i can feel that he is alerted by the presence of Alpha Jack. I went inside the car while Jack turned around and sat beside me. Gemer softly closed the door on my side and went away. Beta Matias was the one on the wheels again and he started the car going to our journey at the Langstone Palace.

While we were on the road i could see tall tress and a beautiful forest at the side of my crystal clear glass window of the car. Gemer didn't ride with us, I'm guessing he's at one of the cars which followed behind.

Then I saw something! Or rather some wolves that are on the side of the road running alongside our cars. They are so big and their furrs are thick it waves against the blowing of the winds. There are many of them, I turned my head away from the window feeling my fear coming out from my chest as my heartbeat became faster.

"Relax Carmela, it's just few of my warrior wolves who came to see their Luna and paid respect by running alongside our car".

"Don't be scared".

"I'm not s-scared!

Is what I answered but my body slightly trembled and i know that I couldn't hide my fear against him.

His hand moved to touch my hand that's resting in the middle of our seat and my instinct told me to grab my hand back, and so i did but Alpha Jack hold it tight not allowing me to let go.
