The King Alpha's Mate

As we go back to the huge hall, a long table was already placed in the front with three of the servants standing closed by. There sat King Darius and Alpha Prince Jack sitting in both ends poised and dominating. Beta Matias is also sitting with them at Jack's left side while Maleficus is at King Darius left beside Princess Jasmin. Three seats were empty which I'm sure of the two, one for me and the other for Queen Helen.

I noticed that the Royal people of the pack are also sitting in the chairs having their own tables full of food and drinks. Servants are busy.

In my ears I could hear the sweet sounding melody of violin playing in the air and it is soothing my nerves, calming my feelings and giving me a smoother vibe with the atmosphere.

Alpha Jack quickly stood up just the moment he looked up to find us both arriving the hall.

"Go on my dear, my son looked like he couldn't wait another second to be with you".

A soft chuckle came out of the Queen's mouth.. I smiled at her and turned my eye towards the Prince.

I frowned when i notice the expression in Alpha Jack's face, she was right.

His eyes are shady, impatience is written all over his handsome face and i am wondering why. We were only gone for a few minutes, to taste that strange wine.

"Over here Carmela".

His thick masculine voice compelled me to sit on the empty chair beside his right arm. Like a good woman that i am, I obeyed and walked straight in the chair as one of the maids promptly pulled it out for me.

"Thank you".

I nod at the young woman wearing a checkered red dress as a maids uniform. She looked like about my age. Very beautiful but timid, she didn't even made an eye contact with me. She might be one of the omegas like Claire and Cory.

"My pleasure Luna".

She smiled and bowed to me before returning into her place.

Alpha Jack paused until i sit down and gets comfortable with my seat before he sat down with his eyes still fused at me.

I noticed that the chair beside me is vacant and I can't help but wonder who would occupy it. And as an answer to my question, a female walked towards us. She's gorgeous like Queen Helen and Princess Jasmin but her face looks serious and not smiling.

"King Darius and Queen Helen I asked forgiveness for my late arrival".

"Welcome back Alpha Jack!

"I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful evening, we are so blessed by the Moon Goddess that our future King has found his mate".

She turned towards me and nod her head a little, I don't know what to say to her. She's a stranger to me, i hope someone would tell me what's her name and who is she to the Langstone family.

The King answered back to her.

"Welcome Freyah, we're glad you could join us. Please have a sit and let us all begin the dinner".

"Thank you King Darius". She sat down the chair beside me and then everybody started eating.

"Eat Carmela".

I heard Alpha Jack told me when i realized I've been staring at my empty plate for a couple of seconds. My mind turned blank and then i felt a little numb starting from my chest down to my knees. I opened my mouth to say something but my voice wouldn't come out. I glanced at Alpha Jack and then he looked back at me.

Suddenly my throat is so dry that I quickly search for a glass of water. The only glass i found is the tall one that looks familiar. I grab it without a second thought and swallow the liquid inside, hoping it would extinguish the thirst that i felt.

It tasted like wine, sour and a little bitter with a dash of sweetness in the end. Then it steadied myself for a little bit, but my senses are still numb and my hearing is very weak. Because I couldn't hear them talking but I could see their lips move and everybody was looking like they are having a normal meal conversation. Except that i have no idea what they were talking.

I felt my heart beating wild inside my chest, on instinct my right hand grab at the upper right side of my dress just trying to massage my throbbing heart. That's when i felt Alpha Jack's hand grab my right shoulder and forced me to look at him.

His eyes glinted like two bright lights staring at me. Then I felt it, the heat that burn my cheeks and ran through my stomach and farther below, i parted my lips and push myself near him. My gaze lowered to his red moist lips and there's this loud voice inside my head asking for a sweet kiss.

"Carmela, are you alright? Why are you not eating, is the food not to your liking. We can have the cook prepare a special meal for you."

"The cook Hadil is in the kitchen, I will order her to come and talk to you."

"No, i ahm.. not feeling so good."

I feel hot all over and I don't think I could still hold on the act of pretending like nothing is wrong. I jerked up from my chair and was quickly followed by Alpha Jack.

"Excuse me everyone! please, continue your dinner, my mate is not feeling well tonight I'm afraid we will be leaving first".

Everybody's eyes turned to me but I didn't mind.

"What's wrong?.

The voice of the woman sitting next to me, the woman named Freyah. She perked up to me and gasped.

"You, y-you're...

The queen cut her off from what she is about to say.

"Do not interfere with the Alpha and his mate Freyah, let them return to their chambers early. Carmela must be tired from the long journey and she's still human, so she needs to adopt to some changes".

I felt the tensions in that dining table but I didn't hear the King made any comment. Then the touch of Jack's hand around me envelopes my body. He lifted me against the floor. His strong arms wrapped around my body giving me the warmth that I so needed to have.

My body was so hot and I felt my flesh starts to tremble. My heart acted like it is set on a flame.

The blood in my veins are trickling hastily and my chest is in pain. I pressed myself tightly against him hoping it would eased a little bit of how terrible I am feeling.

I don’t know how we manage to go home, my mind was on and off for a little bit.

“Just how much did my Queen mother made you drink!?

Alpha Jack’s loud question seemed to wake me up from my floating mind. As he lay me down in bed I knew we were home faster than we have left.

“I don’t know but I feel really hot, i need a shower”.

I got up from bed in a sitting position then I pulled down the zipper of my dress. Not minding the presence of a male wolf who is just waiting to get his hands on me.

I heard him groaned when I successfully take off my dress and had thrown it in the floor, then I started to get down from the bed with just my underwears on. He's harsh breathing was the last thing I heard before I was grab and pulled inside his arms smashing his lips against mine.

The kiss was hot and angry but it just made me feel good. The pain and discomfort that I have felt before was replaced with pleasure and a tingling sensation in between my tights. I want to have him, I needed some more. I opened my mouth and kissed him back.

He's kisses became hungrier and more rough. Alpha Jack devoured my lips and as his tongue went in to invade my mouth, I couldn't help but moaned. He pressed his body firmly against mine and roamed my naked back with his hands.

He took the piece of cloth which covered my breast and replaced it with his warm big hands.

“I couldn’t wait anymore Carmela! I am on the edge of my patience, you we're such a tease this is all your fault”.

He muttered against my ear before sucking on my earlobe then he let his moist tongue lick against the tight surface of my neck. Gently sucking on the skin and grazing his teeth against the softness of flesh.

I wasn't ready for what's coming nobody warned me about this. I just felt his teeth suddenly sunk deeper in the nook of my neck. The pain registered clearly in my mind and the feeling of hot liquid flowed down from my neck to my back and in my chest.

I was sure someone screamed and the noise vibrated from the inside of my throat and then everything darkened around me.
