The King Alpha's Mate

We had a few arguments before the meeting was adjourned, everybody walked out of the room except for me with the King and Queen. But the wide function room seemed small for the three of us sitting in our own chairs.

"Son, please stay for a while. I think you and your Queen mother has something to talk about."

I raised my chin and focused my eyes at my Queen mother. Her eyes held a gloomy impression and her lips are tightly sealed. She has that kind of notion which rarely happens to a usually spirited individual like her. But somehow I know it's what she does to manipulate people, if there is someone who knew my mother so well. That's just me and my father the King.

"I am not happy with what you did, mother! You should stop manipulating people specially me, your son. I am an Alpha and the future King! I know what's best for myself and for the Pack.."

My voice echoed inside the room and I didn't give a damn. But my father stood up from his chair and growled.

"You are not to speak to your mother like that son! Whatever happened, she only did it to make you accomplish the marking."

I couldn't help but twist my mouth in sarcasm. "That's how she had me broke up with the she wolves that i used to date before, she couldn't help but intervened when the matter was already clear before i bed them!

My Queen mother gasped and put her hand in her mouth. "I'm so proud of you my son!, you have just proven to me how strong and powerful you are. You no longer wanted to seek for my guidance and advice."

As always, my Queen mother seem to have the optimistic perception out of everything she would hear. My anger subsides, as her eyes twinkled and she quickly crossed the short distance between us to throw her long arms above my neck and hold me tight like I am still her little boy.

"Mother!

I managed to pull her hands away from me and keep it on her sides. " I hope that it's the last time you do something like that, because the next time I would not hesitate to asked the King for a punishment for your acts."

I wasn't surprised when she just hold out a childish giggle that's trying to come out from her throat. I clenched back my teeth remembering my Father the King will never punished her for what she does. And in-fact he will be there to indulged her.

It was also good to know that my mother is never mean or evil to anyone. She just loves to be overbearing with her children.

"Of course my son, and you can never deny to me that regardless of what i have done. It made you happy right now, you can't deny the glow i see in your eyes. It only means you're in love and happy with your mate. The bond was completed, and a wedding should be held soon".

I watched her as she clapped her hands and cheerfully acted like she just heard the greatest news of all. I couldn't deny that she is right because being the Luna have made her a very good observant to the people of the pack and her son is no exception.

"That is great my son! Please let us prepare the wedding right after all the Alphas could pledge back their alliance to us".

"Father, that is one of the proposals that i am going to tell you today. And i am so pleased that we could make the matrimony soon".

My father turned towards my mother. "Queen Helen was never wrong to gave that wine to the future Luna. It did something great to help in making Carmela yours easily".

My father took the glass of wine that he had just placed in the table. Swallowing all of it's contents before putting it back.

"I think it's about time you head back to your chambers my son. You're mate might be starting to go into heat. It usually happens within a day or two after the Alpha's mark".

Knowing the consequences of the heat made my heart go wild inside my chest. Carmela must be weary waiting for me, I have been away for three hours now. I couldn't stop the stirring in my loins as I remember how we had made love, my father is right I needed to go back.

I almost shouted at her, no one wants to know what happened during her first heat. Specially me. I heard my father chuckled when I turned towards the door. Leaving the sweet couple for themselves. When I came out I saw Beta Matias standing beside my car looking at the ground with his eyes void of emotions. My dark brows furrowed, I wanted to ask what his problem is but decided it must be his personal thing. The issues of the pack are all dealt with and he has nothing to worry about.

He felt my presence and turned his gaze up to meet my eyes. I thought I've seen a shadow of anger crossed them.

"Is there anywhere you would like to be Alpha?

I shook my head and answered. "No, let's go back".

He opened the door of my black Mercedez and i get in quickly. I couldn't wait to see my mate. Her scent is still lingering in my nostril and my hands couldn't wait to feel her skin. It's only less than ten minutes drive when we arrived at the entrance of my place again.

"Take care Matias, do not forget the pack training tomorrow at six am".

I reminded him before I move out from my seat.

"Of course Alpha, everything is ready for tomorrow". I nod at him in understanding and turned my gaze towards the two guards watching the entrance. I couldn't wait to get inside.

I could only hear briefly their greetings as I hurried to enter my place. When the huge door was shut I inhaled deeply at the wide space in the hall, my mates scent is all over the place. And when I looked at the stairs, she was there standing and smiling back at me.

Her eyes gleaming and her face lighting up the entire place. She is so beautiful and with the body of a Goddess visible in her short thin night dress. I wasn't able to get another step when she came rushing down the stairs and unto me. She was fast and bold.

Her scent filled the air in my lungs, her two legs trapping my biceps in between and her slender arms wrapped around my neck. I immediately put one arm around her waist and the other just cupped her bottom. Staring into her green eyes i felt nothing but a huge pleasure of having her in my arms right now.

"I have been to the other side of the palace joining the King and Queen for an important meeting".
