The King Alpha's Mate

*Carmela's POV*

I love him so much, my mate and my Alpha. The man i am destined to live for.

Jack and i have been spending the next few days enjoying my heat, making love anywhere and in every chance we could get. Each love making made me feel complete. It satisfies my heart, body and soul and i know it is the same for him. I couldn't remember being this happy all my life that I wish the situation would stay like this forever, just being with him and loving him until the rest of my days.

Today i am about to start training with the wolves. It is important to be able to learn and depend once self specially for me as being the Luna of the Pack. Jack and I have already talked about this and I am eager to learn and discover what skills do I have as a new she wolf and a Luna.

We are a few miles away from the palace, a place were the pack used as training grounds. It was a huge dome where the ground was split in half, men and women are on separate areas.. We could see them from a distance where Jack and I is standing holding hands. The women were doing a one on one combat and other exercises on pairs. I wonder if there is someone who would love to pair with me.

They were wearing normal gym clothes and no one is in a wolf form, I thought fighting will be to change into a wolf because humans have usually weaker strength than a werewolf. But I guess it is important to be skilled at fighting in both forms.

"My love, you will be training with the ladies for now. There are days that men and women train together but today is different. I would like you to start from the women's warrior of the pack".

He smiled and looked deep into my green orbs. I would do anything for him, and as the Luna and his mate I should be strong enough to make him proud. This is a start, i swear to myself I would learn how to fight. To protect him and the people in the pack. Maleficus said i will have a gift of strength because i am the Luna and no ordinary she wolf. Now we can try and put this to a test.

"Alright, Alpha! I am ready to start. But I didn't know anyone from them, is Freyah around?

I asked with a hint of insecurity in my sweet voice. But Alpha Jack is not worried at all, he was just a little amused by the expression I have in my face.

"Do not even worry a bit." He hold my hand and took it to his lips bestowing it a gentle kiss, his warm lips did something to ease my feelings.

"You are the Luna, and they will know you by your scent. They will respect you and you will lead them, as the strongest she wolf of the pack."

He was proud and full of enthusiasm that I felt the warm feeling run from my heart and spread all over my body. I will never let him down, I feel the changes in my body since the first day I transformed. I already felt stronger and I could sprint high, run as fast as Jack could, and lift something heavy. Like lifting a tree trunk when we passed by it in the forest and our own huge bed when it went out of place.

"Go on in and join the she wolves my love, I'll be watching until you found someone to train with and one of my strongest warrior is there. You know Michael? back in the Diner before, he will see to it you have the training you needed."

Jack tilted his head and go on mind link with his warrior named Michael. I remember the man's name but I can't seem to put a face into him. After a while, Alpha Jack pulled my neck and kissed my lips.

"Hmm, i will stay here and watch you. Michael and the she wolves are waiting for you my love".

I looked at his light brown eyes with a desire to kiss him again. But i know i have to go down and start the training so I went down on the high cliff were we are standing. And while walking down I kept glancing back, I could see a proud smile on his face and his mouth formed to whisper the words which I can clearly read as I love you.

And before I continued my way down, I whispered the words I love you back.

As I am about to enter the training grounds. A gust of wind blows to my hair which I just let loose behind my back. The women who are training on the grounds suddenly stopped moving and like a magnet they all turned their gaze towards me. I could see their eyes widened and some of them have their mouths open. But not one uttered a sound. And then a tall and huge man approached me.

"Welcome Luna Carmela, you look even better than the last time i saw you!

He stood in front of me with his hand extended for a handshake. I ran my eyes on the clothes the he wore, the way his shirt tightened around his muscular body looked familiar and when he said he saw me last time, made a blurry memories appeared in my mind. I saw myself working at a restaurant with him and a bunch of men who's faces looked blurry.

Jack once told me my memory as a human will not be clear and some of them might be erased. Now I am understanding all about it and it really is not a big deal.

"Well, I'm glad to be here to train. So, are you going to introduced me to the ladies".

I smiled and looked around. The women gasped and all of them stood up.

"Alright ladies, listen up! I'm sure all of you have recognized the woman who's standing beside me today. Our future Queen and Luna, is joining us for a pack training. Now, because all of you are already paired. I am going to pair myself with the Luna".

I am relieved that Michael will be pairing with me, because for some reasons I am uncomfortable with the most of the women in the pack. Even when they smiled and nod their head towards me as a sign of accepting me as their Luna that I guessed they only did because they don't have a choice.

"Everyone go back to training now, we still have two hours to go!

Michael's voice made them continue to pick up where they have left off. Except for one woman who came to my direction. She is wearing a tight black leggings and a hoodie with same color. Her hair tied in a long ponytail and the look on her face reminds me of Maleficus.

"Welcome to the women's pack training Luna. I am glad you're heat is gone and Alpha Jack let's you join us".

"Oh, thank you Freyah". Her name casually came out of my mouth. "Alpha Jack is watching us from the hill top".

I motioned to the direction where i came from a while ago. She turned her gaze on same way and nod her head. Her eyes squinted but held no recognition of someone or something that she saw.

"Well that's too far for my eyes to see, but i guess that is just normal for you and the Alpha. You too share the same strength as a wolf".

I gasped and looked at the hill where i can see Jack's figure standing. It wasn't so far, is what I thought.

"It's time ladies!

Michael clapped his hands and Freyah turned around to go back with her partner. I would never get used to the expression on her face. She always looked straight and doesn't smile, it made her appearance looked dreadful.

"Luna, we are going to start with the basic self defense. Are you ready?

Michael started to do his job as my pair and I have to focused my attention at him.

"Of course".

"Now turn around and I would try to grab you from behind, I want to see how you would defend yourself and I will teach you from there".

I turned my back from him focusing on alerting all of my senses and then I felt his slow calculating steps inching closer towards me. My wolf blood stirred in my veins and my hearing becomes acutely clear that I could hear the blood pumping in his chest and I feel every move he made. Just as he was to grab me from behind, I quickly squatted as low as a few inches above my foot.

He was surprised to have caught just the air on top of me and tried to catch me again. But then he wasn't able to get a hold and it went on for about six times before he threw his hands in the air.

"Goodness Luna, you were fast!

Michael just chuckled while trying to catch his breath. I saw the muscles on his body flex and a sweat is quickly forming at the top of his forehead.

"Oh, or maybe you were just slow." I grinned and laughed cheerfully, i am starting to enjoy training with him. My response made his reaction to get serious.

And before I could dodge again Jack spoke in our mind linked.

"Do not annoy one of my warrior wolves my love, i always knew you are strong but take it easy."

A smile flickered in my face, before I heard him speak again.

" I am going to start training the wolves on the other side, take care and enjoy. I hope no broken bones for my warrior". His deep voice sounded more amused than worried.

"Oh i wasn't going to hurt him."

I shake my head and immediately grab Michael's hand who tried to grab me this time again. My attention was slightly disturbed by talking to my mate and that gave him a chance to get closer to me.

But I am still faster, I caught his hand and turned around lifting him up and slamming him back to the ground. A loud thump was heard as his body came in contact with the soil and then i heard him groaned.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Michael.. I immediately came to his side.

My heart was laced with worry when i saw his face turning red. "It's alright Luna, but i think we are done here for the day. I can't risk my life sparring with you. I could heal really fast but the pain will be there if you happen to break a bone in my body."

I helped him up from the ground and was very happy with the result. I watched with awe at both of my hands, I couldn't believe my own strength. So this is what it feels like to be strong, i just beat up a man double my size effortlessly.
